They only removed two which is not what i requested, just indicating not necessary, but who is the patient? Told to come back after 30 days for free touch up if not resolved. My nurse practitioner went out on maternity leave and there was a charge for services as a 'different' provider was to see me. Wait, same office so why should the patient be on the hook for new charges concerning the previous services rendered? But here is the rub, first visit only removing two skin tags pushed the billing allowance up. First tag removal fee and 2-15 (some limit) removals another fee. Only removed two skin tags to increase the client billing fees with minimum services. On the second follow-up visit which was supposed to be free on touch-up turned yielded new additional changes, new provider (NP still on maternity leave) so have to pay. While at the counter checking out already irritated on new provider charge, an office staff member was instructing the billing person to bill me the maximum charges allowed as this patient was credited on first visit for nearly all the office charges due on negotiated rates. Would appear that billing practices is a concern over patient care. I will not be recommending nor returning back to Grekin Skin Institute/Advanced Dermatology in Shelby Township or other locations.

I contacted Dr. Martin's office and was able to get an appointment within 2-days. During my appointment, right away I could tell Dr. Martin, M.D. was a skilled expert. She gave me a prompt diagnosis and thoroughly explained what caused the inflammation and her course of action to take care of it. She carefully injected cortisone around the cyst then gently cut an incision (tiny) to remove the fluid and buildup. The pain decreased immediately and two weeks later the inflammation subsided completely. My follow up appointment included a skin cancer screening that also went exceptionally well. If you are looking for a dermatologist who provides first-rate care then Dr. Martin, M.D. comes highly recommended. She has a great sense of humor to put you at ease and reassure you that you are in good hands.

She is very professional, non-judgmental, and gets straight to the point. I visited another dermatologist in college and just didn't have the best experience (long waits and I felt somewhat judged every time I went - ick!). I've recommended Dr. Martin to my co-workers and I'd highly recommend her to anyone in the Warren area looking for a dermatologist!

Lol) I have had a small procedure in the office, as well, and post procedure care was explained very well. I have also called, post procedure with questions, and they returned my call within 24 hours. Like all other businesses, their office is probably short staffed right now. But, I do, and have, recommended their offices, and will return for annual check up.

Most recently, I asked to split my payment between my HSA and debit card to avoid overdrawing my HSA account, since my medical expenses this year were higher than expected and the balance was insufficient. The receptionist responded by rolling her eyes and saying, "......it's only $200???" in a dismissive, condescending tone. I explained my situation, but she ignored it and proceeded to "joke" that I must have "gone on a shopping spree earlier," while laughing. She then made another inappropriate comment suggesting I was "hiding charges from my husband". I was surprised by the lack of basic understanding of how an HSA works in a medical office setting. Separately, from a cost perspective, I was "advised" to come in monthly for follow-up appointments in order to continue receiving prescription refills, when in reality I only needed to be seen every six months. This resulted in hundreds of dollars in unnecessary visits and charges until I noticed the pattern and spoke up. Additionally, while I can't say this with certainty, my own review of the billing details has led me to believe there may have been instances of upcoding or billing for more complex services than were actually provided, which further increased my charges. I strongly caution you to review your EOBs closely.

I asked the…read moredoctor for a specific vaccine (not a COVID vaccine) for over TWO YEARS, and there was always some b.s. as to why he couldn't give it or order it. During the time I would come to see this doctor he was rarely paying attention when he saw me - more occupied by taking notes on the iPad, rather than truly engage me in conversation and hands-on testing. The last straw was when I wen to the office, and waited 70 minutes in the waiting room. I left FUMING, not only because I waited so long, but also because the time before that I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and another 30 in the interior room. After I left for the last time, I sent an invoice to the office for my time the next day as a good F You for wasting my time. I found a new doctor, and started receiving the requested vaccine ON MY FIRST VISIT. This man has no passion, no patience, nor the care to be taking care of patients. And the staff is unfortunately not knowledgeable. They are slow, inefficient and don't know how to answer questions. I am positive that this office is only still open because of the older folk in the area who continue to frequent the facility due to nothing more than the advantageous proximity to their own domicile. AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS.
