Customer service was great. Very nice medical staff and considerate. Had a spot on my nose and they helped figure a plan.

Dr. Treyger and his staff were very helpful to treat my mother in law's skin issue carefully and promptly.

They only removed two which is not what i requested, just indicating not necessary, but who is the patient? Told to come back after 30 days for free touch up if not resolved. My nurse practitioner went out on maternity leave and there was a charge for services as a 'different' provider was to see me. Wait, same office so why should the patient be on the hook for new charges concerning the previous services rendered? But here is the rub, first visit only removing two skin tags pushed the billing allowance up. First tag removal fee and 2-15 (some limit) removals another fee. Only removed two skin tags to increase the client billing fees with minimum services. On the second follow-up visit which was supposed to be free on touch-up turned yielded new additional changes, new provider (NP still on maternity leave) so have to pay. While at the counter checking out already irritated on new provider charge, an office staff member was instructing the billing person to bill me the maximum charges allowed as this patient was credited on first visit for nearly all the office charges due on negotiated rates. Would appear that billing practices is a concern over patient care. I will not be recommending nor returning back to Grekin Skin Institute/Advanced Dermatology in Shelby Township or other locations.

Lol) I have had a small procedure in the office, as well, and post procedure care was explained very well. I have also called, post procedure with questions, and they returned my call within 24 hours. Like all other businesses, their office is probably short staffed right now. But, I do, and have, recommended their offices, and will return for annual check up.

Most recently, I asked to split my payment between my HSA and debit card to avoid overdrawing my HSA account, since my medical expenses this year were higher than expected and the balance was insufficient. The receptionist responded by rolling her eyes and saying, "......it's only $200???" in a dismissive, condescending tone. I explained my situation, but she ignored it and proceeded to "joke" that I must have "gone on a shopping spree earlier," while laughing. She then made another inappropriate comment suggesting I was "hiding charges from my husband". I was surprised by the lack of basic understanding of how an HSA works in a medical office setting. Separately, from a cost perspective, I was "advised" to come in monthly for follow-up appointments in order to continue receiving prescription refills, when in reality I only needed to be seen every six months. This resulted in hundreds of dollars in unnecessary visits and charges until I noticed the pattern and spoke up. Additionally, while I can't say this with certainty, my own review of the billing details has led me to believe there may have been instances of upcoding or billing for more complex services than were actually provided, which further increased my charges. I strongly caution you to review your EOBs closely.

Front desk staff was not friendly, rude, unprofessional and does not care about their customers. I arrived on time for my appointment, after waiting for half an hour. When I approached front desk to inform them about this, the person did not even look at me, she was clearly annoyed as if I was disturbing her and was focused on what she was doing on her computer. She just told me there's been a delay, no apologies, no information as to expected time I will be seen. They did not even bother informing me the doctor will be delayed while I was sitting in the waiting area for half an hour. The doctor was friendly and nice. After two weeks or so, I got a bill from them saying I owe them money. This was surprising and annoying as I fully pay the amt. during check out. Called their billing dept. and was told they made an error, they did not give me the correct amount. Before I made the appt. I called, inquired about all the fees. The amt I paid during check out was the same amt. I was told when I called them prior to scheduling appt. This is a racket and a rip off. Very unprofessional. If I had known about how much they're charging, I would've gone somewhere else. Least to say, this was a very unpleasant experience. I will not be going back to this place. Prices should be transparent and they should have called me right away if they made a mistake. This is ridiculous! I will not recommend this place to any of my friends or family!
