My husband trying on some new Asics.

We went to several shoe places looking for the right running shoes for my husband after his BCT graduation. Although some of the shoe stores had great inventory, the staff was either OVERLY helpful (making us feel pressured) or unknowledgeable. Below the Knee was by far our favorite shoe store visit. The staff was not only professional, they were very informative on which shoes would fit my husband's needs. When my husband returned to Fort Benning, he said all the guys were talking about their shoe shopping experience of the day. Most of them had also gotten their shoes and inserts from Below the Knee and were pleased with their purchases as well. Thumbs up, Below the Knee. We plan on becoming regular customers!

Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good prices too which was surprising considering the service they provide.

I was notified by email that my order was in, when I arrived at the store, the ladies at the register told me they had been holding my order for days and so it went back into stock on the floor. They tried to charge me again for my items and not at the online price but full price at that. They justified this by stating that even though the glitch in the notification system is not uncommon, I should have known my shoes were in...riggghhhttt...makes sense...it took the region manager to fix the issue on their phone and customer service in my phone....I won't be returning to this store if you have to get their own customer service to let the store know it's idea of customer service is lacking

The cashier pulled out a Membership Enrollment card and told me a little about it. I put it in my purse and continued with the transaction. When I get home I try to enroll the card and their system tells me the card number is invalid. So I call the number provided and speak with Quinton who enters all the info for me. Upon doing so, he noticed my info had already been added under a different card number. He stated the store already set me up, but there were no purchases. I told him I'd purchased $200 in shoes and should have some points on that account already. After looking at my receipt, I noticed a perks number at the top. I read them off to him and he confirmed that was the number registered. I was a bit pissed at that point because the initial cashier never mentioned anything about their perks program and took it upon herself to add it without my permission, but the points were missing. Quinton quickly resolved the situation by adding the $ amount I'd spent, the points I should've received PLUS an additional 50 points for new members. Although disappointed in how the store handled this rewards thing, Quinton helped to satisfy my angst by realizing and correcting the problem.

Super disappointed with our experience here on Sunday, May 4…read more We'd popped in right before close the day before and decided to come back when we both had our running shoes with us so we could get proper insoles . The man who helped us on Saturday, with the nose ring :) - was super helpful, discussed the best options and told me to come back with my shoes like we'd decided. When we came back the next day, we weren't acknowledged at all until we'd been in there for 10 minutes and only after my boyfriend decided to try on a few different types by choosing them himself. During those ten minutes, the two women working the cash register just stared at us rudely while we looked around. I'm opting to purchase the insoles suggested by the man on Saturday online as I have used them before and know they work for my Nikes. I had every intention of getting shoes (they had a newly released pair of my preferred brand) and insoles today but I will not be doing that now Customer service is important and clearly some of your employees need help in that department.

I should have known how this visit would unfold when I saw the "handwritten sign" notifying patrons of the store hours and mannequins in the window dressed with items the store doesn't sell. The last time I visited I was told they had been painting and weren't officially open. So my question today is, "Why is it so hard to keep an 8.5-9 shoe size?" The saleswoman had the nerve to tell me that the shoe I requested had been restocked but she only had "small" sizes available. I'll continue ordering my Free People shoes online. Forget about supporting local businesses. I was greeted and asked if I was looking for anything in particular (which I was) and she pointed me in the direction I was already in. She was NO help in her pink dress and sneakers (you'll remain anonymous). Here's my opinion, when women such as myself are shopping for "flats" and you're a contemporary woman, no one wants a kitten heel. My late grandmother would have loved them. RIP I have decided that yesterday was my last visit especially when I've been supporting this establishment since its inception. I'm honestly quite disappointed and wish someone would open a quality shoe store in Columbus, GA with outstanding customer service. Their website isn't even updated.
