My wife and I were in the area and wanted to grab some Brazilian food, so decided to give Belo a try - tldr not disappointed and would absolutely go back again. Their menu is extensive and every dish we tried was delicious - with our favorite bites being the chicharon and fried cheese. All of the portions were generous - and we would definitely try new items next time to better understand the range of dishes. Drink-wise - full bar menu with very generous pours and great beer selection. The vibe inside was also a pleasant surprise - especially how vibrant and alive the place felt. Service was top notch too.

The atmosphere matches the food, which is vibrant and colorful. The customer service is very friendly, and bonus points go to you if you know Portuguese or are South American since this spot caters well to that crowd. Personally, I think it is great for a party of two or three. They offer a wide selection of buffet-style and three-course meal options worth exploring. They also feature live music on certain days, although I did not come on one of those nights. On a quiet Sunday with a low-key vibe, it turned out to be a pretty good option.

Came here on a Friday night for karaoke and then Sunday afternoon for live music and o can't say enough good things about this spot! The owner, all the bartenders and servers are so sweet! Service was great and pal de queijo was unreal!!

Now open for lunch! Belo is a Brazilian spot with a funky feel. Its decor is downright fun. My server was one of the nicest I've had in a while. He let me take a call while at the restaurant. What I noticed while there was how appreciative of every person that walked in. He was the kindest. As per his recommendation, I got the breaded chicken cutlet sandwich off the new lunch menu, which is only about 3 weeks old now. I asked for it with their chipotle mayo, and it was soooooo good. I waited a bit to bite into it because I waited for my call to be over, but once I tried it, I was hooked. And the sandwich was HUGE. The other half was my dinner. Not to be forgotten were the fries. Not usually a fry girl, but these are my fav kind. Crunchy but soft on the inside. I wish I asked for extra chipotle mayo for dipping. The passion fruit juice was on point as well. With my check I was given a bite sized pastry with dulce de leche inside and it was heaven!! Excited to try them for dinner now.

Exploring Sunnyside brought me to Belo thanks to yelp. Was blown away by the variety and value of their lunch menu. I've never had Brazilian food but our server was extremely helpful with the options. The inside is fantastic depicting Brazilian street scenes. Great stuff !

My husband and I went to a card show nearby and decided to grab a quick bite. We were instantly greeted with great hospitality by a super cool guy named Jonathan, he even hyped up our Pokémon packs, which was such a fun touch lol! The food was great, the ambiance was amazing, and the hospitality was perfect. The waitstaff were excellent as well!

Had wonderful service and excellent food at this cute Brazilian restaurant. The owner Jonathan is a delight and he and our server George went out of their way to help us feel welcome and make sure we had everything to enjoy our meal there. They have good cocktails too! We enjoyed the picanha, linguica skewer, FISH TACOS (which aren't Brazilian but were a repeater) and brigadeiro and creme brûlée with toasted coconut. Will definitely be back! Can't wait.

So, I will begin by saying that I have not had the pleasure of dining at Belo's in person and have done a few delivery orders as a case study before writing this review. TLDR: Really nice staff, items are pricey and some of them are less memorable and may have you rethink the price point a bit more closely. In addition the sodium usage needs be watched. You can always add salt to something, but you cannot remove it once it's cooked into the dish. I will begin by saying that the team is super kind. I called to ask questions about the menu and was met with kind voices and friendly dispositions. I believe Jonathan and Christina assisted me with inquiries that I had regarding the menu? So far, I have only tried a handful of dishes: -Pao de Quiejo Sliders with chicken - $17 (Between the cheese bread and the chicken, the sliders were so salty, we did not consume them after a bite or two) -Moqueca - $24 (I love anything coconut based, but this dish had quite a bit of oil floating around in it. I know it can be challenging with curries, but the coconut did not shine thru and this dish left me a bit disappointed as I love cod and the idea of it in a coconut curry intrigued me.) -10 oz Ribeye Steak with Peppercorn Sauce - $31 (I felt like this dish was priced appropriately. Came with mushrooms, sauteed kale, mashed potatoes and supposedly with sundried tomatoes, but I think they may have forgotten to include or ran out because it was not included in my entree. I am glad that the peppercorn sauce was served on the side because it was incredibly salty and would have ruined the entree if they had drizzled it over the steak and mash) Total: $72.00 and $93.39 after taxes and fees 2nd order: -Pao de Quiejo -$8 (Good, but must be eaten fresh. Pao does not reheat all that well given the tapioca flour, but I love them and they are a guilty pleasure) -Crispy Fried Cod Sandwich Bites -$15 ( I actually thought that this was going to be similar to the pao sliders since it was also listed under apps and is labeled 'bites', but it was actually a whole sandwich that came with fries which is unclear from the menu, so the restaurant needs to amend that to avoid confusion. Sandwich was pretty tasty and I think priced fairly) -Mini Brazilian Croquettes - $11 (An assortment of cheese, beef and chicken bites. We didn't care much for those and it was hard to distinguish which was what without biting into them) -Roasted Pernil Steak - $26 - (Didn't really care for this and it reaffirmed my dislike for black beans. We didn't bother to really eat this. Also pricey for a pork entree, but I know that pernil has a pretty intense roasting process so I am sure that adds to the entree upcharge.) -Ginger Ale - $3 -Chicken Milanese - $25 (A nice comforting meal served alongside broccoli, mashed potatoes and a breaded chicken cutlet that is drizzled with a pancetta chipotle sauce.) Total: $88 but $111.29 after taxes 3rd order: -Sunnyside Salad - $15 (This was fine, but to be honest, it feels like a bunch of random ingredients that were thrown together... that I am not really sure work well together, but hey to each their own. Mesculin is the green base and it's not known to be the most cruciferous of the salad greens, so nothing in the salad had any bite. Everything was just...soft and luke warm. This could stand to be reworked.) -Nachoa de Mandioca (opted to add ground beef) -$21 (I liked this, but this would be best to have this while dining in) -Seared Salmon - $26 (This sounded good so we got it, but I most likely won't get that again.) -Voulevant - $3 (I like these, but only caramel ones. I think we only got 2, so you can decide whether they are worth it for you as a sweet treat as they are very small.) Total: $65 but $82.51 after taxes and fees

This place is such a gem, glad my wife found it! Everything we shared was absolutely delicious! We shared the chicken bites with picante Gorgonzola sauce (it was addicting like crack, you have to get it), chimichurri fries (delicious and crispy), sliders with Brazilian cheese bread (yummy), chicken sandwich (huge and awesome) and bacon cheese stuffed burger. The owner Jonathan, his dad and his staff a wonderful and attentive! The place also has cool Graffiti at the walls. You feel right at home here. Go check it out!

Amazing food and service! I went here with my husband and grandpa for Sunday brunch. We got 4 sliders of Brazilian cheese bread (it's sooooo good but not picture), ommelette, Belo Burger, and Brazilian sandwich. I'm sorry I forgot the name but everything is delicious! Live the ambiance and the service is top notch! Will definitely be back for dinner menu. Love it!

My friend and I landed here for brunch. It was a nice day, but we preferred inside seating. The place is spacious, with many tables inside and outside. We were served by Alejandra, a very sweet and friendly waitress. I ordered smashed Avocado Benedict, and my friend had Steak and Eggs. My dish was pretty good. I was not fond of the bread much, but I never liked bread other than multigrain anyway, so that's ok. The potato was quite good, though. My friend said her steak and eggs were awesome. Next time I'll try that. Great coffee! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the establishment, Jonathan. I think his father was there, too. Their dinner menu looks great. Maybe Hubby and I will try dinner here one day. We also saw another waiter named Arturo. He also served our table. Nice pretty place with superb service. Thanks!

I'd been meaning to try this place out for a couple of years after seeing the raving reviews - and I was in the area so I stopped by on a whim. Glad I did, this place is really awesome. The biggest reason I'll be coming back is the friendly service and overall good vibes. The guy behind the bar and the staff are really engaging - they warmly greet every person who steps through the door and make you feel at ease. The place itself has fun decor and colors throughout - and the establishment is a bit on the smaller side but definitely not cramped. I actually prefer this to a huge restaurant that can be either super-loud when full, or alienating when there's fewer patrons. They have a TON of excellent food options for brunch, lunch and dinner - and a lot of good beer, cocktail and juice to choose from as well, which is half the reason I'll be coming back. We ordered some of the Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) and their Mini Salgados (assorted Brazilian bites - chicken, cheese and corn, beef etc.) with their Verde sauce for our appetizer - the bread was good but I'd order a truckload of those Salgados. I got myself the Drunken Mineiro as my main dish and my partner got their Stuffed Burger (the patty is stuffed with bacon, and it comes with melted cheese + fried egg and avocado) - and neither of us could finish our food. Portions are generous and filling, AND the quality is excellent. On top of all of that, the prices were quite reasonable. I got myself a huge tasty meal (basically 2 smaller ones, since I ate my leftovers at home for dinner) plus an iced coffee for about $45, tip included - that's a solid deal for NYC, no matter what neighborhood. I'm already planning my next two trips back here at least - one to try their brunch options, and another to have their steak / barbecue. Can't wait.

Love Belo! The service, ambiance and the food was amazing. We ordered the fish, steak and pork tacos, the mango avocado salsa, drinks, and dessert. Everything about this dinner was incredible. This is the owners' second restaurant; they also run The Alcove around the corner, which is delicious too! I'm so glad I was able to finally come to Belo! The food was great! I can't wait to come back and try more of their food options. I highly recommend Belo!

The "Market Table" is a open buffet which includes fruits, vegetables, and seafood. This Market Table is very large. Food is very fresh and abundant readiness. I made the mistake to ruin my appetite with crackers mere hour before sitting at our table. Fire roasted meat distribution to table and carved with patrons catching a piece using a tong. Fogo is a meat lover's paradise for a heavy steak meal. The bottom sirloin or bacon wrapped steak, is noted by Yelpers, always dry. The parmesan crusted pork is flavorful and surprisingly juicy. I highly enjoyed the salmon and Caesar salad.
