ZERO STARS - Culligan Windsor CT is the Worst Company I've Ever Dealt With…read more If I could give negative stars, I would. Culligan's Windsor, CT office is an absolute disgrace to customer service. My wife and I were both told--on two separate occasions--by the same unbelievably rude front desk woman that if we didn't like the fact our water wouldn't be delivered (which we pay for), we could just "come pick it up ourselves." Excuse me? We're paying you for delivery--not for sass and disrespect. Even worse, I canceled the service months ago and requested that they pick up their water cooler. They never showed. Never followed up. Then, out of the blue, they call to confirm a delivery I never asked for. It's like they're running this place with blindfolds and earmuffs. Now they're trying to tell me I owe $399? For what--ghost deliveries and ignored service calls? I even contacted corporate and was told it would be handled. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. The same nonsense continues. No one knows what they're doing, and no one seems to care. This isn't just bad service. It's disgusting. I've never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. At this point, I'm considering getting the media involved just to shed light on the circus act they're running over there. Avoid this company like a glass of dirty water. Trust me--you're better off carrying buckets from a mountain spring.

We had to move to a new location on 7/1 that didn't have plumbing so I reached out to Clearwater through their billing to request a buy-out quote on 4/30. I sent a follow-up email on 5/8. On 5/23, I received the buyout which was for the full value of the contract including the cost of maintenance and filter changes. I reached back out that day shocked as a small business that that was the cost. I received a response on 6/2 saying their product was proprietary and not similar to seemingly comparable products on line. We spoke on the phone around 6/6 and I explained the situation and asked if there was anything that could be done since there was no maintenance to do and we wouldn't be using any filters or other parts for the balance of the contract term. She said her manager was out and that she would talk to her and get back to me the next week. On 6/12 I sent an email asking for an update, then again on 6/24 and then 8/8 after we had completed the move. On 8/11, I got an email asking for a refresh on the situation. On 8/13, after some back and forth - I was offered the option of having plumbing installed in our new office to accommodate the machine, which was not possible. So, after 3.5 months of trying, the answer was that's what the contract says - you have to pay the entire amount to terminate and that there is nothing that could be done. We accepted that answer and decided to pay installments for the balance of the contract. On 9/12, I got an email from the billing partner inquiring about the change of address I notified them about on 4/30. On 9/24 our business owner had a change that required us to complete the buyout. I emailed the billing partner on 9/24. I sent a follow-up on 10/23 since I had received no response. On 10/29, I got a response from the billing partner saying that the there was a backlog of requests and hopefully I would hear back soon. On 11/5, I received the new offer. While we were at our old location, we had no issue with the unit. After researching costs for the move, we found many similar alternatives with lower costs, we paid approximately $3700 for a 5-year lease on the unit we had - which is on us for not doing our homework or understanding the terms of the contract. It was an expensive lesson learned given the move was unplanned. Read contracts carefully and understand what you signed up for - both in terms of cost and terms and conditions. We understand that Clearwater followed the contract - we just wish it had not been so slow and difficult to communicate with them and their billing partner.

To validate a point made by another reviewer, it is indeed true that sensitive information about parents is discussed with other parents. I was personally told information about another parent by the Director, Madeline, which I found to be highly unprofessional. One particular incident that caused me significant concern was when I arrived to drop off my children and found the 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds sitting on the curb outside. As I drove up the driveway, the children were in close proximity to my car, creating a potentially dangerous situation. When I decided that the daycare's closure for a week and its shortened Friday summer hours conflicted with my work schedule, I provided a two-week notice for my two youngest children and informed the Director of the end date for my oldest, which was three weeks later. Following this, the situation deteriorated. A few days later, the Director informed me that she had contacted Care 4 Kids, received approval, and had already sent out certificates for my oldest to leave on the same date as my two youngest--essentially forcing my oldest out of the daycare because of our decision to leave. When I inquired why she had contacted Care 4 Kids and changed the date without consulting me, she did not provide a satisfactory answer and instead suggested discussing it later, which never happened as she was consistently unavailable. I then contacted Care 4 Kids and was informed that they had no record of her call, and my oldest child's end date in their system remained the date I had originally chosen. This raised concerns that she might have been attempting to collect funds for the weeks my child would no longer be attending. I am inclined to believe that this may have happened with other families as well. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this daycare, not because of the staff, but due to the actions of the Director. In my opinion, her daughter, who is much more professional, would be a better fit for the Director role. I will also be advising those I referred to this daycare to consider other options.
