My husband and I did not eat, but everyone else did. They were raving about the fried oreos. We were really fortunate to come on the night they had the demolition derby. I had never seen one live, it was pretty exciting. Just wish the ring was a little bigger for the cars. The commentators were entertaining as well.

While the Speedway is dated, it is still a…read moregreat experience given that there are not many speedways left in the area and especially no other experiences like this. While it is like driving an oversized Go-Cart, there are no speed governor's and you are in control. These TQ Midget Cars can go up to 120 mph. However, for us average drivers, you can get up to speeds of 60-70 mph. You get 5 laps around the 1/3 mile track, with laps averaging 15-30 seconds. For $30 more, you can get 5 more laps. The whole experience lasts 1-2 hours from check in to completion. They provide you with Cotton Socks, a Fire Resistant suit and shoes and Helmet. All you need is your License and CASH if you plan on purchasing a Photo, GoPro video, or additional laps. Otherwise, leave everything else in the car because there are no lock boxes available. No experience is needed. They give you a personal presentation about driving the vehicle and then bring you to the vehicle to learn everything you need to know about it. After this, you are ready to go! Everyone goes separately, however, you will follow an experienced driver in a "pace" car, but this will not limit the experience. Without a Groupon, I do not know if I would pay full price to do this experience. They do offer a Two for One special as well for $220 that includes 10 laps instead of 5, so that may be worth it. It is also worth noting that they only run this Experience during the summer time at 9am and 1030am.

They can be tricky regarding waivers and riding when it comes to minors. I know it is a liability but you literally need to get a form notarized before being able to ride. Once inside raceway park it can be tricky to navigate and know where you're going. There are no signs telling you where or what tracks to go to. (there are multiple) Track is always groomed well but it can get very muddy. With all the money this place makes all they have is porter potty's that are gross and hot inside. I really can't complain due to the fact this is the only track close to my home but they can definitely brush up on some loose ends.

But i gotten used to it and it is no longer scary. The wristbands are $40! The wristbands aren't for the whole week they're for 1 day. Its a small fair and for a town like manawkin its way to pricey. And even if your going for a hour or two your gonna spend at least $50 on the overpriced food and rides. You could go on a hike or even the rope course in front of the mainland with that price. I'd rather do that any day. I do recommend looking in before you waste your money.

My one real criticism is that there was no festival feel to the event. IMHO, a half an hours worth of stuff to do after the race (dancing, face painting, limbo, whatever) would have really improved the event over all.
