Monmouth Park is more than just betting on horses. They always have festivals and activities for both adults and kids. In addition it has many spots for relaxing and taking in their beautiful landscaping.

Was a fun experience!! Lots of parking across the street with officers assisting you along the way! Pay a nominal fee to enter & enjoy the day! Bet or don't! Pet the horses! Food, beer, drinks... ATM on site, of course!! Lots of seating open - nothing assigned to general population. Interesting as a 1st timer!!! Saw families relaxing & seriously serious gambling going on- a mix of patrons. Check it out for yourself, responsibly!

It's a wonder why attendance is low at this place. The ridiculous policy of coolers being brought in is flabbergasting. You cannot have a 8"x6" cooler into general admission but can bring in a 24"x16" baby diaper bag with drinks In it and have no issue. Just ridiculous. Not a fun way to start the day. Increased my 1 star to a 3 because after the mayhem with the cooler bag we actually were able to relax and have some fun watching the ponies run. Bathrooms were kept clean, machines to bet were in operation, the staff behind the cashier were friendly and seating was plentiful. There should be no smoking allowed in the grandstands however, especially cigar smoking.

What a beautiful place this is , there's the Turf club where you can eat , watch the races and bet at the same time . Plenty of parking and the staff is very friendly , the only bad thing is that they don't really have signs to tell you what is where . We were there Saturday for the derby party and there were simply no directions to the turf club and half of the staff don't know how to get there either . Aside from that it is a nice place to go if you like races :)

Fun experience for the family at the horse racetrack. Stopped in on Father's Day (men enter free) and got invited to a suite with food and beverages. It was kind of hard to find the suite, needed to go in multiple elevators? It was confusing but overall when we finally found it it was nice. Food was ok, chicken fingers, waffle fries (they were hard and stale sadly), mini cheeeburger slider, Mac and cheese, pulled pork, warm pretzels and assorted wraps. They did allow us to take food at the end of the afternoon to-go which was nice. (Hate to see food wasted) staff seemed really nice too. Overall it was a nice time.

Beer & BBQ Fest. Horse racing. Lots of space to walk around and chill. Deeeelish smoked pulled pork, beef brisket, and beef/pork ribs. Clean bathrooms...lots of bathrooms. Lots of beer tents to get cold beers at. Monmouth Park is a must-hit spot in NJ, America. God bless America. The United States of America.

Great time @ Wine and Chocolate Event. Laurita was there as well as Dematteo, Valenzano, Villarreal, Cedar Rose Vineyards, and Wagone house winery. All had something we liked. It wasn't busy when we arrived. We casually strolled around the grounds from vendors with jewelry, dips, honey, food, and second floor had desserts and chocolate tastings. Delicious!! Enjoyed watching the horse races!! Can't wait for another event here!!

Loaded chips

I watched the horse race which very entertaining. I ate there loaded chips which were good. The rooms are very clean and I would recommend this place to others.

Ask the Community - Monmouth Park

We have a group of four couples and would like to attend Monmouth Park Race Track and be able to picnic. Is there an area that is available to a smaller group?

For smaller groups, we have a large number of first-come, first-served tables. Depending on which day you are coming, tables can fill up pretty quickly in the morning.

The sports book was nothing to write home about it as it seemed the betting windows were just a continuation of the horse racing windows.

Opened in 1858, Freehold will run it's final slate of Standardbred harness racing on December 28, ceasing all operations thereafter. Honestly, it's not like anyone didn't see this coming as the facilities haven't been updated in decades and as for amenities... what amenities? No matter, it was always fun to witness the racing live and I suspect the lingering scent of cigar smoke and Aqua Velva will hang over Central Jersey forever as funereal last rites Freehold was definitely a hardcore haven but just couldn't compete for the gambling dollar with the handheld gaming proclivities of the smartphone digerati who prefer staring at their screens and being FanFooled by FanDuel. Frankly, I didn't go often enough to say I'll miss it but truthfully. I'll miss it -- as it's just another sunset on an era that spanned almost eight generations. Five stars for the memories and the Aqua Velva.

It was very different from the horse racing I'm usually seeing on a daily but this one I enjoyed. The food was good, I had French fries, a sausage sandwich & Coca Cola & an Iced Tea, it was delicious . & The service was great & fast paced too. 10/10 Everyone there was so nice, polite and kind, even the cashiers are so polite and super nice too. I played a couple of bets and lost haha. It's okay though, it was worth it going there and have an awesome experience. By the time we walked In the 5th race was going off. We figured let's get a bite and by the time we have our food racing cancelled for the rest of the day. This happens way too much here. Last week all 3 days and today no reason really provided. It was a little windy but nothing crazy that racing needed to be cancelled. Seems 10 years after the casino comes in the track is really an afterthought. The track condition is terrible, the seating is old and worn, hell they have some much wasted space inside and 1 bar and a small snack stand. It's like a slow painful death it seems. The purses are terrible. They need to overhaul the management and breathe some new life for this place or it won't last 5 more years.

It attracts hundreds of workers and their families, with plenty of food and drink to go around. Of course, the strongest attraction are the horses raced around the mile+ track during the festivities. We were able to see (and bet on, if so inclined) eight races, some of which had the starter gate right in front of us, so we had a good look at the majestic steeds. I don't know enough about racing to gamble, so we just sat back and enjoyed the beautiful sleek powerful horses walk, cantor and gallop before us. The food was fairly much traditional, with burgers, dogs, bbq chicken and Italian sweet sausage casserole, with corn on the cob and mixed salad as sides. Very easy to overeat, and then go after the vanilla soft serve cones for dessert. I was satisfied with one of those, but my seductive companion brought me three more before we were ready to leave. How to say. "No!"? This event was great for morale, with spouses and kids around to be comfortable with mom and dad's work place. These guys make a lot of money. Glad to see they share at least a little of it with the people who make it possible. See you all next year.

Another review mentioned "grimy' which is the perfect description. A lot of the clientele is sketchy, too, and I would not feel safe alone. There were very limited food options. Our only choice was the Triple Crown Cafe, where we purchased hot dogs, and the Silks Bar for drinks. The seating area of the track is filthy and full of bird droppings. There was garbage stuck in the rails looking down onto the paddock, which had clearly been there for some time. We still had a great time and would definitely return, as shockingly, this is not the worst track we have visited. I hope they tear it down and rebuild like Belmont. There is so much wasted space and wasted potential.

Covid19 review This…read morereview is for the covid testing process. There's no horse races going on right now. Instead you can find a drive thru covid test center. You go online and register yourself at covid19screening.health.by.gov first. Then they call you to schedule a drive thru appt. You can call them too as well if it's urgent. Entrance for testing center is on rockaway blvd. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is being tested and has an appt. Drive in and let them know you have an appointment. Keep your drivers license on the dashboard and your windows up. You drive through a checkpoint where they will confirm your identity and appt. You'll then queue up to get tested. Once in the tent, they will check your drivers license again and then finally tell you to roll down your window halfway. The person testing you will swab your nostril for 10 seconds (feels longer sometimes). They then give you a card with instructions on getting results on bioreference.com. Your results should be ready in about a week. Good luck and stay safe everyone!

I just wrote a very negative review about the Resorts World Casino…read more And how the dealers that I was dealing with didn't really know what they are doing. When I went back to the Mohegan Sun Casino and was talking about my Resorts World experience I was told that Mohegan Sun Casino gave Resorts World about 200 dealers. That was great to hear. I just didn't have one of the experienced dealers. But this is a good sign

Wow, where do I begin?…read more First off, I wanted to give RWNYC a fair shot to earn my business after my prior experiences with Resorts World have been incredibly bad at their Catskills property (see prior Yelp reviews) and their Vegas location (poor guest service, unaffordable food, etc.). So even though I knew poker was not ready yet at RWNYC, I headed over to check out the new spot, get a new players card, and play some craps in their new table games section. When I arrived on property, there were cones set up in weird configurations to direct traffic, along with human traffic directors who were more concerned with their conversations than how to get cars into the parking garage. One person flagged me forward while a colleague of his flagged someone else, causing both of us to jam our breaks to avoid a collision. Nice. The garage smells like pee. Yay. The elevators smell like pee. Yay. I asked a security guard to point me towards the rewards club desk. He said "we don't have one of those." Nice. I went to another security guard on another floor, who pointed me in the right direction. At the player's club desk, I presented My ID and a top tier card from another casino in order to get tier matched. "Oh we don't tier match here," was the response. Pretty sure every casino offers a tier match if you are a player with enough tier credits - they want to steal players from each other's casinos, the only way to do that is to offer perks. I asked if there was a VIP Host I could talk to, they told me the Host Office is on the top floor, so off I went. The top floor had no VIP Host office, so I was pointed to the Credit office, where I had a conversation with a gentleman, presented my ID, my top level card from a rival casino, and showed him my rewards app for that card so he could see I was not faking this. He told me he did not have the authority to offer a tier match, but he could have his boss accept a phone call from that casino to confirm I am in fact a top level player, and it would be up to me to call that casino to ask them to call their rival casino to get the confirmation, after which Resorts World would assign me a tier based on how I was betting at their craps tables. What?!?! That is not how a tier match works. So the gentleman brought me to a kiosk where I was issued a bottom level card and it came with $10 free play for slots. I took my card over to the craps pit and saw two tables open. One had 7 players out of 12 spaces available and the minimum was $100!!!! Holy crap! On a Monday??? The other table had 3 players and the minimum was $200!!! How do you expect people to play on tables with minimums so high? So I rolled my eyes, laughed, and walked to a slot machine to use my $10 free play. Nope - not available to use on my card. Tried three other machines, same result - unavailable. So I threw my card in the trash and walked back to my car. Sorry Resorts World - you lost my business before I could bet a single penny. Bye!
