    Belmont stakes race track...1.5 miles

I've gone to Belmont Stakes event the past couple of years ! Being that I've just experience the Preakness 2023 in Pimlico Maryland , by far Belmont Stakes is the best . Belmont Stakes is for everyone , and you don't have to know about horses , you just have dress up and know how to have fun ! Don't forget the fascinator or hats for the ladies and your best dress ! So let's start about parking your car , it might cost you about $25 and up to park your car . There's a bus to take you near the entrance , my best bet for ladies bring flats so you can switch it and save the dress shoes for picture taking and mingling ( foldable that you can slip in your pocket book ). Don't forget no liquids allowed . They will check you at the entrance . Once your in , you get to mingle with lots of people just looking to have fun ! The fun part , you get to see the horses in the paddock if they're not racing , take pictures . And whoever sponsor the event say a champagne brand , will have they're own kiosk where you can do selfies and take pictures . Maybe some free tasting if their wine or champagne. For the boys , cigar , cigar and more cigars ! Boys make sure sure you dressed nice too ! Don't forget your fedora !There's a stage where you can take photos , and if you're there early they have photos booths and someone to take a pic of you for free . The very last race is held around 6 pm so you'll have ample time to mingle and takes last if pics . The Belmont Stakes is a must see wether you're a horse lover or not ! It's an experience that you'll want to do it again and again every summer !

Witnessed Justify win the triple crown here and it's only the 13th horse in history to accomplish this feat. It was pretty awesome to see it and everyone was so excited about it! Never seen a crowd so excited for horse racing granted this was my first horse race ever. LIRR ran a special train here on race days, but it took us 2.5 hours from Penn Station to make it here. Put a real damper on everything, but Justify's win made it all worth it.

I had a good time but I think it's due to the great weather and good company. Getting here isn't hard. We caught a train at Atlantic station near Barclays or Penn station which is about $15 round trip. Hold on to your ticket because you get a $1 off entry to the race track. We got here on a non prime event so it's pretty empty or very empty. Ride took about 1 hour. My friend who got super interested into horse racing told us the in and the out. To be honest, you just have to pull the wallet out and start se game. I play with $1 bets since it's for fun and it's alot of fun. I never though I would get up and cheer for my horse with so much energy. Well I lost the $1 but it's super fun. Food here is so so. Very basic. We end up going to the third floor. There are more options and sorry nothing healthy. I would advice you to bring food or alcohol or water. Definitely water. They don't really check. The place is huge. Make sure to visit the garden and do some horse watching. Don't think too much. Just put your money in or ask someone.

Nothing can describe the excitement and energy at Belmont Stakes. I'm not a huge sports person and I've never watched a horse race in my entire life. But living so close to Long Island, Belmont Stakes has always been on my bucket list. So glad I finally went! Belmont Stakes is an annual Long Island tradition (now in its 148th year) where locals and visitors watch the races, picnic, eat, drink, and just have a great time with family and friends. The betting system is super complicated if you're into that... Make sure to do your research beforehand. Food truck village had tons of great options: Korilla BBQ was my favorite. The philly cheesesteak and truffle fries were a bit disappointing. The food trucks accept credit cards, but the bar is cash only. There are tons of ATMs on site though. There's plenty of seating even with General Admission but make sure to get there early. We got there around 11-1130 and it was perfect. We had enough time to get food, grab seats, look around, etc. The afternoon crowd gets super crazy so beware. Since it can get hot outside, try to spend some time indoors too. We alternated between outside and inside seating and it helped a lot. Such a fabulous day! Overall, a MUST visit especially if you're in the area. Can't wait to be back next year. Kentucky Derby - you're up next :)

The admission is cash only. There's an outer courtyard area with a playground and small duck pond, and monitors that allow you to watch the races. They have picnic tables and I suggest packing your own lunch. You can bring in any beverage as long as it's not in glass containers. You can go inside the actual race way stands and set up on the small patch of grass with your lawn chairs, coolers, small child tent or sit in the benches that face the tracks. You can purchase a book to help you place your bets on the races. Learn the terms "To win" .... "exacta" and "to show" ahead of time from Google; it makes it a little easier to place your bet. It's a fun day to go and you can bring kids with you.

Food: Didn't eat but I'll be sure to pack a basket next time Brew: Heinekin Got the summer beer special, which was a $5 deal inside, but you should BYOB. But for a hot summer months outside on the tracks, I suggest a light lager or a Pilsner with a higher water content to keep hydrated Awesome place to spend with the family on a beautiful sunny Sunday. You can picnic outside on the grass in between the huge tress providing shade while watching on one of the many screens. You can also make a reservation to picnic in one of their private areas near the track with grills on premise to throw your own party with friends and family. It's relaxing and fun to cheer on your favorite horses even if you don't have $ on the line. It was my first time at the racetrack and I'm looking forward to returning before the summer is over.

Let's first start By saying. The park is beautiful. Went there for the Belmont race. Justify triple crown woo hoo! With that being said. Let's go to the negatives. I had a hard time finding our seats. People working had no clue. We were walking from one end to the other no one knew exactly where BB seats were. Drink lines ridiculously long. Only having two people on at the bars. Ran out of their signature drink the Belmont Jewel. (Really!!!). How you can run out of mixers is just poor planning.

I think this venue is a great alternative for MSG and Barclays Center. The drinks here come in a mason jar which is different and amazing. What's not so great is the prices for the drinks. Another review mentioned "grimy' which is the perfect description. A lot of the clientele is sketchy, too, and I would not feel safe alone. There were very limited food options. Our only choice was the Triple Crown Cafe, where we purchased hot dogs, and the Silks Bar for drinks. The seating area of the track is filthy and full of bird droppings. There was garbage stuck in the rails looking down onto the paddock, which had clearly been there for some time. We still had a great time and would definitely return, as shockingly, this is not the worst track we have visited. I hope they tear it down and rebuild like Belmont. There is so much wasted space and wasted potential.

Wow, where do I begin?…read more First off, I wanted to give RWNYC a fair shot to earn my business after my prior experiences with Resorts World have been incredibly bad at their Catskills property (see prior Yelp reviews) and their Vegas location (poor guest service, unaffordable food, etc.). So even though I knew poker was not ready yet at RWNYC, I headed over to check out the new spot, get a new players card, and play some craps in their new table games section. When I arrived on property, there were cones set up in weird configurations to direct traffic, along with human traffic directors who were more concerned with their conversations than how to get cars into the parking garage. One person flagged me forward while a colleague of his flagged someone else, causing both of us to jam our breaks to avoid a collision. Nice. The garage smells like pee. Yay. The elevators smell like pee. Yay. I asked a security guard to point me towards the rewards club desk. He said "we don't have one of those." Nice. I went to another security guard on another floor, who pointed me in the right direction. At the player's club desk, I presented My ID and a top tier card from another casino in order to get tier matched. "Oh we don't tier match here," was the response. Pretty sure every casino offers a tier match if you are a player with enough tier credits - they want to steal players from each other's casinos, the only way to do that is to offer perks. I asked if there was a VIP Host I could talk to, they told me the Host Office is on the top floor, so off I went. The top floor had no VIP Host office, so I was pointed to the Credit office, where I had a conversation with a gentleman, presented my ID, my top level card from a rival casino, and showed him my rewards app for that card so he could see I was not faking this. He told me he did not have the authority to offer a tier match, but he could have his boss accept a phone call from that casino to confirm I am in fact a top level player, and it would be up to me to call that casino to ask them to call their rival casino to get the confirmation, after which Resorts World would assign me a tier based on how I was betting at their craps tables. What?!?! That is not how a tier match works. So the gentleman brought me to a kiosk where I was issued a bottom level card and it came with $10 free play for slots. I took my card over to the craps pit and saw two tables open. One had 7 players out of 12 spaces available and the minimum was $100!!!! Holy crap! On a Monday??? The other table had 3 players and the minimum was $200!!! How do you expect people to play on tables with minimums so high? So I rolled my eyes, laughed, and walked to a slot machine to use my $10 free play. Nope - not available to use on my card. Tried three other machines, same result - unavailable. So I threw my card in the trash and walked back to my car. Sorry Resorts World - you lost my business before I could bet a single penny. Bye!

Absolutely Awesome Experience!!!…read more Young or old this place is simply a fun experience to enjoy if you're in the immediate area. If you're a hardcore horse racing enthusiast then no travel distance will keep you from this track, however if you're the average (or below) race track goer and you live in the immediate area you just have to stop in and enjoy one of these race events. Even if this type of thing doesn't interest you, it's actually really fun to attend/watch. It was my first experience going to a race track, never really considered it my "cup of tea" and only visited because my young daughter absolutely loves horses; even taking horse riding lessons. We ventured off to one of these local races and we both loved it. My daughter naturally loved it because of her love for horses and I absolutely enjoyed it and have no real interest in horses or racing but it was SOOO much fun to watch. Crowds go crazy as the horses round the corner toward the finish line and you can't help but get fired up by the contagious crowd cheering! Epic feeling and rush as everyone cheers as horses cross finish line. For a small entrance fee you get to enjoy the races taking any seat you'd like and pretty much all the seats are great; no bad seats (i.e. nose bleeds). Local vendors were present as well for family fun entertainment. Various vendors setup to sell or donate items. This year the local ice cream vendor, Trail Side Treats, was in attendance donating FREE ice cream to attendees which was so awesome of that local vendor to do. Food, drinks and even beer are available for sale at the concession stands. Even if you don't care for this type of event or never even thought you'd be remotely interested, I DARE you to try it because it's really cool. For the cost of entrance skip your morning Starbucks and try this place out. Fun people won't regret trying it while those lame boring folks will simply dislike it just like everything else that keeps their lives boring. Haha! I double dog dare you to visit and try it!

I did one lap upstairs, one lap downstairs, and I was gone. I didn't even buy a drink. I'll explain why. This is a very low-vibrational environment. Most of the people here are using government money to try to hit big on slots. Either that or they're hard-working (much respect) low-pay and throwing a Hail Mary. With dozens of reports of extremely tight slots, they're just throwing their money away. And, as always, when a casino has tight slots, they're usually very cost-conscious and don't put much effort or money into upkeep and cleanliness. To be blunt, this place is nasty. On top of that, the parking lot is an absolute disaster. I had three people cut me off for a parking spot within three minutes. Then, while walking toward the building, I guy in a big black pickup truck sped as fast as he could and pretty much let me know he would hit me if I tried to pass. But ... as he passed me, his engine blew. I don't what the hell it is but every single time someone does something bad to me or tries to cross me their life is ruined. Contrary to popular belief (in circles I travel), I never even do anything. I just act like I do and say I do so people will chill the hell out and let me be. But my middle name should be Karma. I'm walking freaking chaos. I don't get it. But I don't mind it either. Anyway... This place sucks. Never go here. Perhaps it would have been better if it was Jack's 58 instead of Jake's 58. With Jack, you have Jack The Ripper, Jack-In-The-Box, One-Eyed Jack, The Jackson Five, Jack And Jill (buck and a quarter), Jack-O-Lantern, and the list goes on and on. With Jake, he's a guy that wears khaki pants with sneakers, glasses, has three strands of parted hair, and goes to accounting conferences. Regardless of name perceptions, this place is very low vibration. If you know what that means, then you know to stay far away. I gave two stars instead of one due location and good security.
