I'm beginning to think the hormone cream formulas from Women's International are not consistent - some months the cream works great and others, I begin to notice symptoms two weeks into using a new batch. Communication with my provider needs improvement. Once in a while the prescription is done timely and other times it takes weeks to finally send those out. And they charge my credit card over a week before they send out they prescriptions (actually 2 weeks before I get the prescription). At a regularly pharmacy they charge when you pick it up. They are good about replying. read more

I used Belmar pharmacy for 3 years (formerly Women's International Pharmacy), for hormonal compounding prescription. Never had any issues. However, in the last order, all the capsules are leaking, sticking together, and there is a visible pool of oil at the bottom of the bottle. I talked to their pharmacist and she tried to convince me that it is common, instead apologizing and offering a replacement. Even though for 3 years, I have never received such unacceptable product. I do not trust their product anymore. Will use a different pharmacy. read more

No problems with my prescription but impossible to get a receipt that I can claim via insurance. I shouldn't have to educate them on what the receipt needs to contain and call their pharmacist begging for a receipt. I'm going to be transferring my prescription out of here. I have been using Women's International Pharmacy for several years now for bioidentical therapies from my doctor. They are very efficient at processing orders, even with the awful post office slowdowns during the worst of Covid. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. They are also less expensive than the compounding pharmacy in my town. I think they are great. read more

FYI if you need your prescriptions in a timely manner forget it. I placed an order on Nov 30th 2021 and didn't get a response for 4 days. No credit charge, nothing so I called again on Dec 3rd 2021 and was told there was a delay due to a mix up with one of my prescriptions. I called my doctors office and cleared it up called back to tell them it had been fixed. Never mind that they NEVER called me back to let me know there was a delay. It took the tech a minute to find it. So my credit card was charged that day. Forward 7 days no order on Dec 9th 2021. So I called again and was told it was going to be shipped today. In total due to lack of service I'm still waiting for my order to be shipped for 10 days now. I'll be lucky if I get it by next week maybe the Dec16th which would make it 17 days since my order. I'm out of all my prescriptions now. Thanks for making my life a living hell. read more

Women's International Pharmacy was excellent until they were purchased by Belmar in 2021. Now they are the worst. They keep you on hold for 20 minutes, don't return calls, and don't keep agreements. I talk to a different person every time. One person tells you one thing. Another person tells you the opposite. They claim that they need three to five business days to process my order because they have hundreds of other orders ahead of mine. read more

I owe my sanity to WIP. After a complete hysterectomy 20 yrs ago, now 68 y/o, I suffered horribly for about a year taking artificial hormone replacement until thank God, I discovered WIP. I take two different estrogens, progesterone (yes, you still need it,) and testosterone. I have only had wonderful experiences with customer service and the pharmacists and have never had an issue with delivery. I plan to take my pills twice a day until the day I die. Careful with your credit card - do not keep it on file. Double check to make sure it is not kept on file. Careful with your instructions. I have experienced numerous error with quantity, charging a credit card they are not supposed to have on file, filling prescriptions I am not in need of and overall poor communication and execution of instructions. First they are expensive. I order my thyroid through them it coat 135 dollars for 90 days!!! My doctor finally recommended I try the good rx app and get it local. I only pay 60 now. Which is nothing. I have been a patient with this company for a good while, but the last two years have been a nightmare in trying to get orders filled. I have gotten such poor results when speaking to their customer service agents. No two stories are the same. On july 11, I placed an order for my 3 medications on their web site. Someone promtly deleted it. I got no notification as to why or that said deletion took place. I'm thinking things are in progress and I will get the medications soon. Wrong!! After 10 days, I started calling again. After mulitple phone calls to the pharmacy, and to my physician to advocate on my behalf, I find out this AM that he orders still have not been processed. It is now August 1, still waiting for medications, and I have been out of the one medication for almost a week now. I am asking my physician to give me an alternative pharmacy. read more

Would give less than 1 star if possible. Pharmacy had my prescription over 2 weeks without filling. Different story every time I called. Couldnt find it, waiting on Dr to update, someone cancelled it, new prescription so had to go through certain protocol, blah blah blah. Finally transferrred prescription to another pharmacy and had it delivered to my home within 3 days. This place is a joke, I dont know how they keep the doors open. read more

I have been a patient of Women's International Pharmacy in Madison, WI for over 20 years and they were always punctual in getting their drugs out until the last 3 years. Each tech tells a different story when your following up on where your drug is. Once it is "checked in" it will be mailed in 3 to 5 business days. Today I was told they charged me on 6/23 but, but it just got to the lab on the 28th and now it is 3 to 5 business days from the 28th. They had been using COVID as their excuse but honestly this has become a problem since they started doing compounding for pets. I have not problem with them doing pets, (which I have several) but women's services and drugs should not be delayed because they are unable to keep up with the demand read more

The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars, but 3 stars seems unfair, is because of the utter inconvenience and the fact that they absolutely will NOT work with insurance. I have to pay $50 a month for a pretty common medication, but an apparently uncommon administration route. *sigh* I live in WA and have to have my medications shipped "priority", but have to order refills at least a week ahead of time despite the priority shipping service since they have to make the medication. The few times I've had to interact with staff have been mostly fine. My only issue with their customer service is they will not leave a message if they call?! I do NOT answer phone calls from numbers that I don't have saved in my phone. They don't use any secondary methods of contact! I had to google the phone number to figure out who it was and then call them myself. Come on, now...seriously. If you want my $50, then put in the effort of saying, "This is ______, please call us back." read more

I'm not happy with their customer service and the way they fill orders. It's like pulling teeth talking to a technician and takes forever to get my thyroid compound refilled. I end up paying for overnight shipping which is very costly because they take forever to get my refills processed. And the process is very frustrating. I ordered refills on 3 compounded medications two weeks ago (two weeks before I would run out of the meds). I allowed more than the 7 days recommended on the company's website because of the holidays. Yesterday, after twice being on hold for 20 minutes then getting disconnected, I emailed and left a voice mail message to find out the status of my refill - no response. I called again today and finally reached a representative after 15 minutes and was told that they were behind because of the holidays and because of an ingredient being on backorder. The representative could not even give me an estimate of when the order would finally be filled and then asked me if I want to just cancel the order. I can't believe that this pharmacy gets away with delaying refills indefinitely without any notice or communication with the customer. Not impressed. read more

I have been ordering my bioidentical hormones from the WIP in Phoenix for 20 years. This last year, I learned, WIP was sold to a new owner. Not sure if that's the entire corporation or just Phoenix. In either case, customer service is GONE. When you call you are put on hold for 20 minutes or more with classical music and constant recorded messages that "Your time is valuable and your call is important to us. Would you like to receive a call back?" Never get that call back. It took them over 5 weeks to fill my prescription after failing to follow up with my nurse practitioner (who has been with me since I began taking bioidentical hormones) who faxed a renewal 3 times and each time it was somehow misplaced. Then, finally they left a voice message apologizing and telling me my order would be shipped that day (the 9th) overnight FedEx. NO CHARGE for shipping. It didn't arrive the next day. On Saturday, I went to FedEx and asked about my shipment. They checked and told me it had not been shipped overnight express...it had been shipped standard and would arrive on Monday. On Monday, NO DELIVERY, so I checked again with Fed Ex and was told my order had been shipped to a Walgreen across town. Why? Who knows. So, I drove 30 minutes to a Walgreen, stood in the pharmacy line for 20 minutes and was told there was no FedEx package for me...TRY the photography department. So, I went to that counter and had to jump through hoops showing identification and driver's license by a man who treated me like he was doing me a big favor. I got my package and drove home in a blizzard. GOOD BYE WIP and good riddance. I can now get my bioidentical hormones right here in Santa Fe at my own locally owned pharmacy. That's my story. My advice: Stay away, stay far, far away from International Women's Pharmacy in Phoenix. read more

I have been with Women's International for 20 years. I have two older sisters who have been with WI. This is a great company. I have always had great service. I have been a patient of WIP for quite a few years. I live in Arizona and my refills were done in the WI pharmacy. I ordered my refills on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. It took 4-days for the pharmacy to complete the refills and they were sent out on Saturday, August 4, 2018. My husband and I have been using Women's International Pharmacy for over 15 years. We have never had any problem with receiving our RXs in a timely manner. The few times that we have had to talk with WIP have usually been related to delays caused by our prescribing physician or use of a brand name on the prescription by the physician, rather than the generic description. Women's International staff have always been pleasant and they have left a messages to call them on our answering service, if we have not been available to take their calls. read more

They are mixed. Sometimes I get rapid and excellent service, and other times I get neither (several weeks to get a refill, and I run out waiting). Several years ago, they left an onerous message, and I called back to find out that they shipped my hormones (with my info on them) to someone somewhere else; (obviously violating my privacy). They said sorry. I would have liked more than an oopsie. (A discount for the next order?). Yet, I still keep coming back. Just wish it was more consistent. read more

I have received my porcine thyroid capsules from this pharmacy for years, on auto-pay, auto-fill. No problem. Recently, they contacted me to say that there was a shortage of the thyroid, & there would be a delay. I had a few weeks worth, so no need to make alternative arrangements. Apparently it became available again, & I was sent a new bottle. It tastes CoMpLeTeLy different. This concerns me. I would not know it was an issue, except that I take it sublingual. It is an organ - thyroid. It should not taste so drastically different in my view. ( A bit like aspirin, actually.) I reported my observation & concern to them. They said they have the same batch, albeit received from a different supplier than they had previously used. They said they would test it, run assay, & it could take up to 3 days. 5 hours later, they called back to report that every molecule is indeed thyroid. Can you run an assay that fast? I do not know. I had to decide wether or not to trust them. I chose not to. I find it suspect that the taste is so drastically different, after a shortage. It seems I was more fatigued over the 5 days that I took this new batch, though that is subjective. There is a local facility that I am switching to. I asked them about performing an assay on my suspicious capsules. They do not do that. It would have to be sent out, & would likely be costly. I would be very interested to know if there are other customers with similar concerns. read more

My wife was recommended this pharmacy by her OB/GYN. His office sent the prescription. Finally the pharmacy confirmed receiving the order weeks later, but only after calling. Just the phone wait was over 20 minutes. They seem to have terrible customer service and a general disregard for any urgency or the needs of a customer. Amazon can deliver a tractor in one day...but these guys need weeks? We still don't have the prescription... read more

I have been ordering from this pharmacy for a number of years and have had no problem. I am grateful to be able to get bioidentical prescriptions filled there because I will not use the others that come from abused animals. The staff has always been pleasant and the only problem I had receiving my prescription was when the US Post Office sent it to Florida in the middle of a hurricane disaster there, and right into the middle of the worst-hit part of the state, but that wasn't the pharmacy's fault. I will never know how or why a package sent from Wisconsin to New York ended up in Florida, but I did eventually receive it. read more

I have been using them for years and just noticed that they charged me 32.50 to overnight my prescription to me. The cost was never disclosed to me. Had they told me the cost I would have never requested over night shipping on my prescription that I could clearly do without for a week. Shame on them. Consumer beware. About 20 years ago my Holistic MD recommended bioidentical hormones from Women's International who said he preferred this pharmacy because of their quality and service. I moved out of the area and had not seen him for many years and have managed to find other doctors to continue to treat me in a similar manner, and I have always gotten my prescriptions from Women's, no matter the doctor! At 65 last year I saw a nurse practitioner who said my lab tests showed I had the hormone levels a "40-year-old woman would be envious of!" This year I returned to the original doctor I saw 20 years ago and told him that I had kept with the bio identicals and was doing well. He was very pleased and said I looked well and he wished all women would use them. Women's has always been on top of getting my products to me in a timely manner, their communication is excellent in responding to my calls and requests. The quality of the products has been consistent and flawless per my experience. It is a "class operation!" Thanks for all the years of healthy hormone levels! read more

My doctor recommended the WIP and I have used them for the past two years. Not only is the customer service extremely pleasant on the phone, but their deliveries have always been on time as promised. The people who work here are not helpful. My doctor sent in my prescription but my hormones were shipped four days later and sent to the wrong address. I didn't realize this until after a week went by so finally I called to see if I could get them re-shipped to me. Nope, because they said a refill needed authorization from my doctor. My doctor provided a verbal OK but they needed more. They said they had a question about the prescription. I had to call back four times to get it straightened out. They didn't care about the delay. I will not be using them for a compounding pharmacy again. They are not the only game in town. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have EVER experienced. I have requested by hormone replacement 4 times. The final outcome was today and GUESS WHAT???? Nothing arrived again. Staring last week I gave my new address and information to simply refill an order and after 4 times they still have not sent me my medication. This is a serious situation. I have given my credit card information, told "don't worry we will expedite due to our mistakes" but guess what yet another day goes by. We are now at the 5th TIME TO TRY AND GET MY MEDICATION REFILLED OF WHICH THEY HAVE HAD MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. STILL NOTHING...... So they think that my health is not important? Be careful audience as they are beyond incompetent and in fact put you at a physical risk because you can't go to anyone else since you are promised over and over and over and over again that your medication is in the mail to arrive the next day. read more
