After diagnosing the car, they told me both rear EPB actuators and calipers needed to be replaced. I approved the repair and paid $1,124. They later called and said the car was fully fixed and ready for pickup. However, when I arrived, the brake warning light was still on and the EPB was still not functioning properly. I immediately informed them. The next day, they re-examined the vehicle and told me the parking brake control module had lost communication and that they could not fix the issue. They referred me to a Mazda dealership for further repairs. In other words, after charging me over $1,100, the original problem remained unresolved. When the vehicle was returned to me, the brake fluid reservoir cap was missing. The reservoir had been temporarily covered with plastic, and I had to return the following day to obtain a replacement cap. This raised serious concerns about the level of care taken during the repair. I spoke directly with the owner, William Chen, who has been very unprofessional and dishonest throughout the process, about my concerns. During our phone conversation, I explained that I was disappointed and did not want to keep parts that did not resolve the issue. He initially stated that he could return the aftermarket parts (though not the OEM actuators). However, after speaking with someone else at the shop, he changed his position and said he would not return the parts or issue a refund. Overall, I paid for a repair that did not fix the problem and was then told to take the car elsewhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

Also discovered by the Detail Team was my girlfriend's litle purse of Bar Chips (multiple) under the seat. Missing for 18 months. I said yes, thinking the cost would be worth the time it would take me to go buy the bulb and figure out how to install it. The oil change with the bulb replacement was $160. If that wasn't bad enough when I got home I realized the light on the back wasn't even installed properly. I went back to the shop to get it fixed, something that took 30 seconds. This was insane to me. A task that they initially billed .3 hours for to take 30 seconds to redo told me I was being exorbitantly overcharged. I was able to get a refund on the bulb but I feel as though they thought I wasn't smart and didn't understand I was being scammed. Do not go to Patterson's! I will not be returning and nor should you !!

I asked him to check several things as suggested by another dealer and he showed me that half of those were unnecessary. Elizabeth and Ruth are no ordinary receptionists, they are also well versed and actual mechanics themselves. The atmosphere is friendly, honest and positively a good experience.

My son called me and I told him to tell them not to do anything. When my son came home I inspected the wheel and found that the outer covering on the lug nut had come off. However, there was enough of the nut there that I put a lug wrench on the nut and removed it. Then installed a new lug nut!!!!!! I don't know if this auto center has TOATALLY inexperienced and inept mechanics, or they are dishonest and trying to pad the bill with repairs that are not necessary. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! I agreed to the $127.00 fee and I walked to the mall for a coffee. I was called 1 hour later to pick up. I gotta say, I was pretty happy. They checked out my vehicle as well. (So they say). So far, I see no problems. The only thing I would have liked is a mileage sticker in my window to guide me to my next oil change. The staff is extremely polite. The waiting area is clean. Their tunes slap!

The awful staff/managers I talk about from 2019-2023 were finally dealt with. I scheduled an inspection, was expecting the disaster of every year before, so I made sure to call & check it was in the books. John reassured me it's there, and he'll be taking care of the inspection. Sure enough, he was the lone staff manning the location that day. He got everything taken care of in less than 30 mins. Even noticed something that needed sprucing up & did that service. I could cry. Never in 5 years with this place did they actually do their job well. I hope they give John proper support staff so he sticks around! He's done wonders for the place. 2023 draft (a one-two star review): The men working there had mostly been unpleasant to deal with--some to the point of hostile (unlike the guys over at the Elmira Road location, who were nice. Angel, in particular.) We've been customers at this Triphammer Monro for about 4 years now, and EVERY single time we bring the car in--whether it's for a a safety inspection or service--something goes very wrong. This year, they scheduled us for a safety inspection, but when we took it in at the appointment time, they claimed their safety inspector was done for the day. So everything we had needed that depended on the safety inspection for got completely derailed. If their service and work was really decent, then we could let it slide...but come on.
