Jerry arrived just on time. He fixed the broken lock and rekeyed both locks. It only took him 20 minutes! The charges were very reasonable. $120 for a service call; $35 for rekeying each lock. Been a customer there for years because they were located conveniently. They've always been a bit…read morerude but I overlooked it. Today I was waiting for a parking space to shop next door and then swing by there to copy a key. Since I was shopping elsewhere I didn't want to park in their lot. While I was waiting for a car to pull out of the street door, my bumper was hanging a foot or so into their driveway. No cars were trying to get in. Nobody was being inconvenienced but one of their employees, who was backing out of a spot in their lot decided to get out of his car and tell me to move. He said "you can't park there" to which I replied that I wasn't parked, I was waiting for a guy that was going to pull out. He then tried to incorrectly define for me what "parked" meant and I told him I wasn't harming anyone and I'd be gone shortly. Then he pulled the classic passive-aggressive BS that "customer service" people go to when they know they are wrong: "Ok sir we'll try to have a nicer say...you seem to be really angry" The irony of course is that the guy saying this got out of his car to get mad at me for blocking 1/10th of his driveway. Last straw for these guys. Lots of other locksmiths around that aren't angry and aggressive.

I carted a door into the establishment because a key would not fit in the outside of the deadbolt, but would in the inside. It was easier to take the door in than to remove the lock. The manager waited on me. He worked on the lock for almost an hour. He explained that somebody had tried to use a master key and screwed things up inside. At the end, he sent me on my way, a very satisfied customer, with an extra key and having paid a bill about half of what I thought it would be. I will return.
