I've hired M & M Home Repair twice: March 2019 and January 2021 to fix broken backyard fence both…read moretimes. Here are pros & cons and my advice if you are thinking of hiring them. PROS + Mike tries to address the cause of the problem. I have lost a total of 7 fence posts in the past 5 years because they rot. Mike used the Rotbloc Wrap to prevent the posts from rotting under the ground. + Mike was able to give me a free estimate and repaired my face. There were delays but he did it in the end. I tried to get a quote from big names in town, but I couldn't. CONS -Both times when I hired Mike, there was a problem with details, some big, some small. First time (2019), his crew fixed my fence but didn't do a good job. He had to come back to fix it himself. Second time (2021), I notice that one of the posts was longer and a few of them were shorter than other posts. He fixed the post that was too long, but there was nothing that could be done with the two posts that are too short (by about 6 inches). ADVICE *Make sure to inspect the site when they are done to make sure everything looks good. *Get quotes from other contractors. I found out later that a Yelper friend of mine in town hired a different contractor and paid less than half of what I paid. I could be comparing apples and oranges, but both he and I had 4 posts replaced in January 2021. Send me a private message if you want to know who my Yelp friend used. *Pay cash/check. There's a 3.9% processing fee for credit card payments. Overall, I'm happy with M & M, and I think I will use them again. However, I would definitely get a quote from other contractors first. ************************************************************ Don't forget to like my review (useful and/or cool)! A few of the things we did: Painted house ext. changed flooring in 2/3 of our home, painted house int. Fixed a moldy wall. Amongst lots of other small changes and fixes. Will recommend!

Betheny and Cynthia made sure I was informed, everytime a worker was about to arrive. It wasn't cheap, but I witnessed everyone working hard and fast and with the skills to do it right. The unit looks awesome, which made it easy to quickly find a great tenant. 5 stars.

I came to Bellingham to help my ailing father. While he was in a nursing home I hired Topnotch to…read morehelp with a kitchen cabinet repair. I found Topnotch on Yelp and was impressed with their very fair price and quick turnaround-- $2,000 and two weeks instead of $7,000 and two months. They did a great job too. So when I needed a more extensive remodel, rehiring Topnotch was a no-brainer. The project entailed all new flooring (wood floors throughout the upper level, bathroom tiles and new carpeting on the lower level), removal of custom shelving throughout, a complete interior repainting from very dark colors to white, electrical work, exterior siding replacement and related repairs, exterior door replacement and repair, junk removal, electrical work, exterior power washing and interior cleaning, and various other tasks. Dmytro was always available to help solve problems and generously helped me select materials. As the scope changed along the way, he was always reasonable with additional charges and actually did a large amount of work without charging anything. The house looked GREAT when he was done, and Dmytro was always available when I had questions about the completed work or if anything needed touch-up or adjustment. He also helped me with miscellaneous work that we needed to do as part of the home sale. Dmytro has his own crew and also a team of fellow professionals with whom he has an excellent relationship. Together I am confident they can handle jobs of any scope. I feel so lucky to have found Dmytro during what was a challenging period with my sick dad and a house that needed a total makeover. I have been through other remodels that were a nightmare but this experience was the opposite-- Topnotch was a dream to work with. I really don't think you can go wrong with these guys!

When we could not get other contractors to return our calls or emails for bids, David got back to us and kept us updated and never made us feel like anything but a valued customer.
