They are now located in Saint Paul on Snelling and I'm thrilled as a STP girly. My friend introduced me to the shop after she scored some cowboy boots for a themed party. We visited together on a Sunday and were able to snag some fun deals including a swimming suit, a dress I plan to wear for Halloween, and some tops. Buffalo Exchange sells both men and women's clothing along with shoes and accessories. Pricing is fair and the interior is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and helps bring items to the dressing room to try on and write your name on a big board. Upon purchase, you will be handed a token if you don't take a bag or bring your own bag. From there, you get to pick a charity of your choice to donate a percentage of your purchase to with no extra fees included. Amongst favoring second hand wear, I also support Buffalo Exchange's mission and variety of items. I look forward to finding more gems very soon. Welcome to Saint Paul!!!

I had never heard of it, probably because I didn't have kids, but now that we are gearing up for all things baby- I'm on top of where to find the deals. This weekends show was at the St. fair in the Education building. Let me just say the building was FREEZING. It was really cold. There were people wearing blankets. For all of us in summer gear, it was miserably cold. I probably would have looked longer had it not been so cold. We went on the last day with some stuff being 50% off. You have to look at the tags carefully. Some of the stuff says. "no discount". Mind you it was the last day, so a lot was picked over, but there was still a huge amount of clothes left. It got daunting after awhile sifting through all the racks. I scored an adorable little Hawaiian outfit at 50% off. Shirt and shorts. The racks are hit and miss price wise and wear and tear wise. Some of the stuff is reasonable and some of the stuff looks a tad worn and over-priced. They have shows all through out the Twin Cities. Next week's is at the Washington County Fairgrounds. I signed up for the preview hour which means if you're a new mom, you can sign up to go a day early before the masses descend down and start sifting and thrifting. I like the concept of the Munchkin Market. Seems very well organized Check out lines can be long, but they move fairly fast. Toys Clothes Furniture Bikes Strollers Pl;ay yards etc..... lots of baby gear!!! I mainly went for the clothes. I don't mind buying gently worn clothes especially since babies grow out of them so fast.

I mainly went for the baby clothes, and found better deals than the local consignment stores, and it was nice to be able to actually pick things I liked, rather than buying a pre-made lot from craigslist. Some clothing was worn and overpriced, but most were decent deals and many things looked new. Sleepers, shirts, pants, etc for babies seemed to average $1-4 unless it was a designer label. Onesies I thought were generally overpriced since they are used and even new ones are pretty cheap. Lots of plastic toys available, if you're into that. The bouncer/exersaucer/swing stuff goes fast, so if you are looking for one, do that first and have a plan in mind. Highly recommend going to the Friday pre-sale if you can...it is much less crowded, shorter lines, and more to choose from. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, leave the kids at home, or bring a stroller and a friend, so one person can shop while the other stands in line, and you can trade off. If you go Friday, it's pretty laid back. Also recommend dressing for whatever the outdoor weather is, because the building will be the same temperature as outside.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helps new parents wade through the details to find what is best for them. The last thing I bought there was an Uppababy stroller bag and they were one of the few places locally that had it. I love how everything is color coded and wish more stores would organize like this. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that they were diligently interactive with me after I picked up a $100 blouse- as they should be on a busy Saturday! But I really appreciated the small talk and direction from Randie, who gave me the brief on where to find everything, and the brief on the sister store Nextdoor. This store is a bit out of my way, but now knowing what they carry I definitely see myself returning here when I am feeling like I want to treat myself. As I am someone who prides in ensuring clothes don't go to landfill and trying to reuse or recycle as much as I can (I shop thrift a lot) I was very pleased to see that they take overflow items from designers. My only bummers were when I got home, the nice gentleman at the register unfortunately left one of the security tags on a sweater, leaving me to figure out how to break it off. It happens, but gosh dang! And then the same sweater had a bit of a small but obvious stain on it. And while I know it's already deeply discounted, it wasn't in the clearance section. So when I asked if they might consider anything additional on the top, he kindly explained how the store handles stuff like this and that basically there is a waiting period of it doesn't sell. Odd, but I'm sure it helps them profit, so I understand. Overall, I'll be back! What a great local spot!

I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list.
