My husband booked me The Works for my birthday (they didn't have anyone to do the pedicure that day, so they allowed him to sub in the body scrub, which I am happy about because I loved it). I had never had a full spa day and I was not disappointed! The sauna was very relaxing and I loved that it is in a private room with a shower (you can truly just relax in peace). It is an infrared sauna, which I really enjoyed (I found it a more comfortable heat, as opposed to a wet sauna). My body scrub and massage from Joe'l were excellent, and my very first facial was with Anysse and I loved it (I also appreciated that she wrote me a product card but did not pressure me to purchase products). The charcuterie and sangria included with this service were SO good; what a treat. Decor brought a sense of peace and the spa was very clean. Some other comments mentioned the layout being odd, but I thought it was fine; the structure of the building requires that different services be on different levels and the robes provide full coverage when moving from area to area (it does get a little noisy at times in the sauna because you can hear employees talking from another room, but whatever). My only (minor) issue was that it took significantly longer than expected (I was there for 5-ish hours, instead of the 3.5 my husband was told on the phone) because there was a lot of lag time between services. I also found it odd that the person who was helping me (I didn't catch her name) suggested that I shower off (from the scrub) and put my robe back on, immediately after which she told me to go change into my regular clothes in the bathroom (I asked her if I could just go back into the shower room I had just come out of to change and she seemed confused before telling me yes). I think she must have been new. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing birthday and I would recommend this spa to others. read more

I just tried Belliard's for the first time. I had a massage with KAMILLE and it was great! The spa itself is beautiful and relaxing. They greet you with a warm foot bath, which was a nice surprise. It was my first time going to a spa on my own, and I cannot tell you how grateful I was that each and every staff member took their time to make sure I was comfortable!! The ambiance extremely cozy, warm while still being modern and professional!! Miss Mia definitely deserves an applause for her massage skills because out of all the spas I've been to, she's the only Masseuse who's taken the time to actually ask me what I needed her to work on and her skills fixed almost all my problems beautifully in just one visit!!! I am getting the subscription service just to come back and see her!!! The prices and deals are amazing for the amount of attentiveness, time, quality, and services you get. I am so grateful for that because it makes services accessible to younger people just graduating college or high school (18-25) who think Self-Care services are unattainable (which they usually are). But at around $70 dollars per month for the subscription, it is a great opportunity for younger people to include Self-Care as a consistent part of their lives. This place is truly a gem!!!! This hair design studio saved my hair ! The first ever to get my hair to grow and become so incredibly healthy ever ! I've been wearing platinum blonde for seven years now and I've had my hair fried too many times to be told " sorry , we'll condition it and cut it and hopefully next time get better results " ! They take their time , listen to my desires and obtain my objectives every time. I couldn't be happier other than I wish I'd discovered them long , long ago ! Please go anywhere else! I went to the salon to get my hair done since my normal place was booked up and I was supposed to have family photos this weekend. I literally had the formula that my stylist uses for aveda products and it still came out terrible. The highlights are uneven in color and thickness. Literally one whole side of my bangs is yellow and the other is blond and brown streaked. The highlights are about an inch from my scalp and don't blend at all. I shared with her the formula to break the base of my hair and told her my stylist leaves it on for 20 minutes. She rinsed it out after about 30 seconds so obviously it didn't have time to process. My hair has never looked so bad. The color is not even close to what it's supposed to be. Again, I showed her the formula! Then we get to the cut. She cut my bangs while wet and they are way too short. They are crooked and the right side is half an inch to three quarters of an inch shorter than the left. Not to mention there are long pieces in the middle and short on the sides. They don't blend into the sides of my hair and look like some kind of awful mullet. I can't even sweep them over bc they are so so so short. I can't pull them back bc of the color imbalance I mentioned earlier. Then she goes to dry my hair. I have super fine hair and when she asks how I blow it out, I told her I don't use heat products on my hair. She uses a blow dryer so hot I can smell it, and went over my poor hair multiple times with a ridiculously hot flat iron. This is important for later. My husband picked me up and I cried the entire way home. He agrees my hair looks awful and said it looked exactly the same as when I went in (with the ends of my hair super blonde and the roots black) except for the terrible bangs of course. As I'm talking about the appointment to him, I notice that SHE BURNT MY HAIR! The whole front piece is fried, I was livid. There is literally nothing I can do at home to remedy this and I have to wait two weeks for an opening with a reputable salon to correct this hot mess. I had to call the photographer and move the picture date back two weeks until after I get this corrected. So now I'm out $150 for this epic fail, the change fee for the photographer, and the insane amount it will cost a real salon to fix this. Good lord save yourself the time and go to a real salon! read more

I avoid writing negative reviews, but this turned into the nightmare birthday present. I never know what to give my mom so based on reviews I got her a gift certificate to this place thinking she could get a massage. She went to get a manicure and it sounded like it was horrible experience. They booked the wrong type, the nail polish was dried up (my mom had to point this out!), etc. etc. The worst was the technician was dismissive. Ugh! She has money left on that gift certificate, but she refuses, absolutely refuses, to go back there out of dignity. I hate wasting money in general, but I can't use it since I don't live in the area. I really don't like to write negative reviews on here but I had to share my experience- I made an appointment for a facial and add on peel. Listed on the service menu online it says that peel is $50.00 or $25 if you add on to a signature facial. The facial I got was more expensive than the signature facial so I assumed that the add on peel would also be $25. I learned that I was wrong and that on top of the $130.00 facial the peel was an extra $50.00, but if I had gotten the signature facial which is $80.00 the peel would be $25.00- makes absolutely no sense. I also made the appointment mentioning I had a living social certificate, which was not a problem when I made the appointment on the phone. When I went to pay I was told I could not use the living social voucher in conjunction with the facial price they were running for spa week. Ok I get it but this should be listed on the website. All in all I ended up spending over $100.00 for an ok facial and peel. The living social voucher was worthless. I suggested they should post something on their website about living social vouchers and that they can't be used in conjunction with other specials. Their response was we have it listed on our website. After going back on and trying to find it I could not. I thought the point of living social and groupon was to try and get new customers in, give them a good experience and hope they become regulars. Overall disappointing experience. read more

BUYER BEWARE TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH...so I made an appointment at this salon because I was going to be in the area getting my make up done for my engagement pictures. Later in the week I found this same salon on living social so I bought the deal and called to CONFIRM that it could be used for the services I would be receiving. The owner said I could use the living social, which was for "a single process color, and haircut" which is the only service I ever have done at any salon I've ever gone to. When I got there this morning I waited about 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seated. Once seated, we went over what I was getting done with the stylist and she proceeded to work on my hair coloring. After the color was thoroughly in my head, washed out, and I was seated for the haircut portion, the owner comes over and very condescendingly explains that I will have to pay an extra $20 because what I had done was not a "root touch up" and that it was all over color. She proceeds to claim that I asked for a "root touch up" when I called to make the appointment, when those words never came out of my mouth. What I had done or at least what I asked to have done is no different than a single process color, but this is how she makes her money, by making people pay more after the service is already done, because she probably loses money on the living social deal. I let her walk away, and then I asked my stylist "wait so then what did you do to my hair?" She said "oh you had a single process color" I then pull out my phone and show her exactly what the living social deal is for, "single process color and haircut". She then gets the owner for me so we can speak about it again. The owner tried to, again very condescendingly, explain what I had done (still explaining a single process color) but trying to say that the living social is for a root touch up? It clearly states SINGLE PROCESS COLOR! As I was explaining to her my side of it she literally grabbed my hand and placed it into my lap while I was talking and then says "but really what's $20?!" Um excuse me? How unprofessional. It is not for you to decide how I feel about spending my money. Maybe $20 is not a lot to you, but when you go into something thinking one thing and then are told another, it is very unsettling, and rude. Emirah was my stylist she did a fantastic job so nothing against her, but I would stay far away if I were you... there is a reason she is on both living social and Groupon... Oh and Mia if $20 is nothing, then why did you make such a big fuss about it?! read more

I have been in search of a new stylist and was recommended to Belliard's Spa which I have found to be professional; attentive to clientele's needs; and has created an environment that is relaxing yet sensitive to my scheduling. I always enjoy a cup of tea while I await one of the assistants' instructions and look forward to receiving a hand massage while relaxing with a hot towel wrapped around my scalp infusing my favorite conditioner onto my tresses. My stylist, Mia is quite competent with hair care and coloring. I love Belliard's. I always feel welcome here, and not just by my stylist -- by everybody. There's always someone floating by to see if waiting customers need anything. I have had both Missy and Josh cut my hair, and I love them both. They made sure they understood exactly what I wanted before getting started. Josh has cut my hair twice, and the second time when I just wanted a trim he did just that, and it was perfect -- not too much, layers just right. I also got lowlights that day, which I am obsessed with. Josh rocks as a colorist; he chose the perfect color. I have red tones in my hair that I wanted to downplay a bit, so he mixed a color that used golds rather than reds so it didn't fade out to be too brassy. I also didn't want tiger striped hair, and these blend great despite the contrast to my natural hair color. It's been three months and they still look pretty good. I'm a twenty-something and I love this salon. My mom is a fifty-something and she loves this salon. I have no complaints. I'll definitely be back for a cut and touch-up soon. read more

I was here about two weeks ago. I had a haircut, pedicure and a manicure. My nails were done just fine, and the girl......I forget her name, was pretty deccent. I did find it very off, that for a Saturday, there were two other customers in the entire place though. I know times are tough, but two people?? Anyway, my hair was cut and styled. It looked good when it was done, but days later, when I got home and did it myself, I realized that the hairdresser didn't cut my layers as I asked her to. They're straight across, and I reminded her that I needed them angled because of my hair type. Whatever, she was a kid, and just didn't do as the customer asked. Will I go back for a hair cut? No. Will I say the place is terrible? Nah. But just LISTEN to the customer for once, and maybe you'll have some repeat business. read more

I had the best deep tissue massage here. I could not move my neck and I was in terrible pain. I was under a lot of stress and my muscles had a lot of tension. After the massage, I wasn't able to fully move my head/neck but it was a 1000x's better than when I entered. My muscles would've benefited from an additional hour of massage, but my pain threshold is low and the massage left me with a bit of pain in the next 24-48 hours to follow (though this is normal for deep tissue). As someone that experiences tension headaches and tight muscles, I'd definitely go back. read more

One of the BEST massages I've ever had - Gwen is fantastic and I highly recommend! I also had a facial from Jacqui and it was also excellent. I cannot recommend the massage and facial services enough! Unfortunately I had one of the worst mani/pedis ever here after a top notch massage and facial. My technician did not seem to know what she was doing - I had no cuticle removal, no shaping, no buffing, no hand or foot massage whatsoever, I had to ask her for some hand lotion as my skin was so dry. The nail polish was so patchy and messy I've had to remove it straight away. The technician was chatting away and kept getting distracted so I had 2x coats of color on some nails and 1 on others, the same with top coats. It honestly reminded me of a friend doing my nails not a professionally trained manicurist. She was perfectly friendly, but she was so unskilled and I'm writing this as Gwen and Jacqui are both fantastically talented professionals, but you cannot let this girl near another paying customer! read more

This is the WORST hair salon ever. I went in to get my hair relaxed,semi-permanent color and styled. The hairstylist told she did not have time to relax my hair but she did have time to color it. She told me if I wanted to get my hair to get the shade I selected I would have to go with a full permanent color. I asked if I would be able to still get my hair relaxed. she said I would just have to wait 7 days and then I could.I waited 8 days and returned to get my hair relaxed by the master stylist and owner of the salon because the original stylist was not there.She looked at my hair and advised me it would be ok to relaxed after perm color because their colors were basically all natural.she relaxed my hair and I noticed that as my hair was being was that it felt like my hair was falling out. When she walked away from my washing for a min I noticed that a large clump of my hair was sitting on the top of bowl. When I asked her about that she told me that is normal but after my hair seemed thinner than usual she told me it was just because the relaxer really straighten my hair ...she even had the nerve to ask me of I trusted her about knowing what's best for my hair and after I left and in the next couple of days my hair began to fall out in sandwich bag full clumps...I basically had no hair in the middle hair and what was left was dry and brittle ...I was sooo upset and called her and She then tried to tell me she said my hair was dry and did not admit to her wrong doing...after arguing with her back and forth for a about 20 mins she only offered to give me a free wash and condition and to return my money to me. My first time getting a gel manicure with the spa. It was not a good experience as I was very excited to see how my service would look completed. The tech did not appear confident. She could not cut, shape, file or polish. No bowl to soak. No cuticle work. No lotion applied upon completion. The dryer was very cheap. There were 7 colors total to chose from and not pretty colors might I add. I am beyond disappointed that the service is $30 for something I could have done at home. Never again! read more

This was my first time at the saloon. Mia did an amazing job on my highlights, cut, and style! She's never seen the highlights I had years back, however, she understood what I wanted and made it happen. My hair cut is very flattering as well. Some how Mia was able to straighten my curly hair and make it last through a week and one very rainy day without any frizz! I never seen that before. I needed to wash my hair, but if I didn't, it would have been amazing to see how much longer my hair would have stayed straight without frizz. I had a really good stylist here, but she moved. After she left, I got a girl who didn't know what to do with relaxed hair. I asked for a rollerset and got a poofy, frizzy mess. By the time I got dress, makeup done and went downstairs to pay and leave (cause they wouldn't accept my groupon that was pre-paid - stating they were running a special), Mia comes over to the receptionist where I was standing, turned her back to me and whispered to the receptionist. I had a terrible experience with the massage therapist. I will say the manager/owner, Mia, was very nice about it (which is why I give two instead of one star) & offered another service which I declined. Aside from that I can't recommend that particular therapist it was not exactly relaxing the way they have things set up. Instead of having privacy, you walk in your robe from a private area through the front reception area up stairs to the massage area. This is not relaxing & something I have never experienced in the ten plus massages I have gotten with other spas. I had a very bad experience with the massage therapist & Mia asked what she could do. Ultimately I asked for a refund. She said she couldn't give me a refund "because you didn't pay me". I thought that was a very strange thing to say. I had a living social. This is the second & only experience I have had with a salon & living social. My personal opinion is that if Mia was aware that I had a living social coming to me as I was insisting on leaving just changing into my clothes, clearly she was aware & I can't account for the therapist's behavior other than I was treated the way I was because of the living social & not paying full retail. I guess the owner, Mia, views this as losing money. I understand maybe the therapist's experience is that living social customers do not tip as well so it didn't matter how I was treated. I will never use a spa that uses living social again. Clearly, if you are using living social to bring in business, you should not be bitter that those customers aren't paying full retail as the goal is to have those people return. The therapist apparently told Mia I was really stressed out before the visit because she asked if I could come on a day when I was less stressed. Well, I am a full time stay at home mom with a 2 month old & a 17 month old & this was just a normal day for me (I don't think I was particularly stressed other than I had trouble finding the place) with the exception of that this was a Christmas present designed for me to be able to get away & have a relaxing day. What a joke. I will be going back to Hand & Stone literally right across the street where I previously had an excellent hot stone massage. read more
