I've been a regular customer for 10+ years and have loved watching their business grow. I regularly see Kim W. for eyebrow waxing and she is so talented---a true artist! She always makes me feel comfortable, beautiful and happy. I look forward to my appointments with her not just because of how it makes me look but because I love just chatting with her! I've also tried the 'lash lift' with Kim and love it, I couldn't believe the difference it made. Last week I had my very first facial ever with Kim and I was totally blown away, as soon as it was over I was thinking of wanting to book another appointment. I did have a very slight problem and could not have asked for a more professional, courteous and caring resolution. I have found that you find out the true 'core beliefs' of a business when something doesn't go as expected and The W Spa has once again proven to me that they truly care about their customers. That kind of experience only reinforces my love and loyalty for them. Today I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Lisa Jo and I left feeling amazing. For today's visit I just chose a 30 minute deep tissue massage. I was slightly disappointed as I was actually booked for an hour massage (I know, I shouldn't be complaining!) but it was more than I had planned to spend and therefore I was not prepared with a better tip for my massage therapist. I wish I was aware of that prior to going into the session. The receptionist was not very friendly and spoke softly so she was hard to understand. It may have been her first day because she was working with another person, but I feel that she could have verified what my appointment was so that I could have confirmed prior to me getting the hour massage and thereby having to pay for the full service. Nevertheless, I was still satisfied with my service. I had Linda as my massage therapist. Initially I was worried because I'm about 5'10" and she is about 5' and I was wondering if she would be able to use enough pressure but she did not disappoint!!! Lol she was awesome and I feel so great! I would recommend her for sure. Overall Kona Oasis is a beautiful spa and I would love to come back for more services. A cleanser, then a serum, then a toner- which removed the serum? All over the place, without much rationale. I've had facials all over the country- without much of a miss. This.was.the.worst. Then comes the brows, after the concerning and confusing facial. My brows were tinted and then waxed. The tint left me looking like Ms. Trunchbull. No way I was going out in public with those on my face. Upon closer inspection my brows were haphazardly waxed- which I couldn't tell with the mass of tint still on my skin. Arrived home, attempted all the tricks to remove the tint, with little success. I'll be headed to another salon next week to correct the $40 attempt at brow shaping.
