I started with tweezing and brown tinting but finally decided I wanted Julie to do my powder/microbladed brows.

As a longtime European Wax Center customer, it's time to look elsewhere. I've been a member at this…read morelocation since 2017, and the service and EWC products overall have gone down substantially--to the point I attended the Main Street location for services (ultimately the same). I just waited 15 minutes for a service (eyebrows) that takes the same amount of time. While I'm appreciative of the $10 credit towards products after inquiring at 3pm why I'm still waiting when my appointment was at 2:45pm, the end result is no longer worth the investment. I only had one service left (today) on my wax pass and will go to a technician who specializes in eyebrows. What I got today was wasn't bad but meh. One significant difference I've noticed over the years is how quickly hair grows back (for eyebrows and south of the border). With a company that's releasing 50 different "slow growth" products under the sun, this makes sense to keep customers coming back for waxes and products to reduce growth. (Not seeing the result you want? Buy more products.) Kudos to those who do see results, but I've body washed and polished. Hasn't worked for me, and one of the products might've caused a rash. The *biggest* issue I have with EWC as a whole is that, for south of the border waxes, waxers don't get all of the hair which requires you to come back in for a touch-up appointment. (If you didn't know, you have five-ish days to rebook an appointment for missed hair at no cost. Not sure how or if this is advertised. I only found out last year.) And I'm not talking about someone popping in with hair as thick as a hedges. Without fail, there's almost always a small section that was missed or not thoroughly waxed I find when I get home. (I've had different EWC waxers at different locations. No one gave me a mirror to inspect.) It happened last month at this location and previously at the Main Street location before that. Having to schedule touch-ups after waxing gets annoying. There's a limited window to do so, and if the service did what it needed to do in the first place, we could all save time wasted redoing the entire appointment. *Another* issue I have is that waxers have but so many times they can wax an area. So if they wax your leg, and after the number EWC says is the limit, you have to come back for a touch-up. One waxer at this location last year tried to *tweeze* remaining hair on my cooch before she told me about the touch-up appointments. There wasn't a chance in this world I was sitting through that! My hair (*with* "slow growth" products) almost always grows back less than a week after my wax. What's funny is I started purchasing an at-home wax kit two months ago to give myself a south of the border wax. Not only did it last longer than EWC, but it was a third of the price. Also echoing another review of how rushed waxers get. Speaking to some waxers, their schedules are packed, which means stronger chances to wax off something by mistake or not do the best job. The turnover at EWC is WILD! There was a time not too long ago when the person I saw was gone, so I got someone else. That someone else left (for whatever reason), so there was someone else. Not the same as it used to be, so it's time to move on.

I love their BB cream makeup in the little glass pots. It is sheer coverage and has a really lovely natural slightly orangey smell. Anytime I need to get made up, I use this. They have other makeup products like blush, eye shadows, and mascaras. They also do lipbalms, perfumes, lotions, and various tonics and other beauty items. In addition to their organic beauty aids they also display various items of jewelry from local jewelers. They are mostly made of semiprecious stones and are very beautiful. I have two bracelets and a necklace that I wear often from here. The shop is quite small but there is a lot packed in here. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They also sell online and on Etsy I believe and if you follow them on Facebook they do little events quite often where you can try out some products and enter to win some as well. You can also request custom jewelry from their displaying artisans. The parking is ample behind the business but the door is on the right side of the building.

She goes above and beyond with her time to make sure I leave the salon feeling more beautiful than when I walk in. I never think twice about how much she charges either because finding a hairdresser you know and trust to take care of your hair is priceless! This is not a review of the hair and makeup artist I had. The artist I had was great, and I think the salon should be sure to value their talent. I scheduled hair and makeup services for my wedding. FYI- I am an extremely casual and laid back bride. In fact- I wasn't even sure if I wanted to have my hair and makeup professionally done. But I am only getting married once so I thought it would be fun. Upon booking- they requested a $150 deposit. I booked a makeup trial and communicated the day id like it done (for my shower). I also made it clear in my communication that I was unsure whether or not everyone in my party wanted their hair done. I was told this would be no problem, and book it as if they wanted it done so they'd make sure they had enough people. A few weeks before my shower I tried to schedule my trial for my shower and I was told they were not available on that date. In fact it was very challenging to find availability before my wedding to get it done. It ended up being in the evening during the week that I had to squeeze it in. My biggest issues are for one- upon making my final payments I was told the $150 deposit I put down months prior didn't go towards the cost of the services. It was just to "hold the date." I was told I agreed to it in my contract (which was very vague). Let it be known I booked tons of other vendors for my wedding- all of which required deposits at the time of booking- NONE of which didn't go towards the overall cost of the service. Obviously, if I cancelled the service I wouldn't get my deposit back. But essentially this salon just asks for $150 of free money up front. My second biggest issue comes back to the part where I communicated that someone in my party might not want their hair done professionally. I communicated a few weeks before that she had ultimately decided she did not want it done. In response, I was told that because I initially signed up for it in my contract that I still had to pay for it (even though I clearly communicated that I was unsure initially). Perhaps I could've put up a bigger fight or could've lawyered up, but in the end I was getting married. I didn't wanna deal with any of this. And truly, my hair and makeup turned out great and the staff they have are great. It has nothing to do with the staff and everything to do with how they run their business. In the end for hair and make up for me and my mom it was $650.
