My partner and I came here for Christmas weekend, wanting to get away from the city, and we were not disappointed by our choice at all! The rooms are redecorated, the food Jackie serves is AMAZING and they are both so extremely hospitable! The location is really great because it is easy to get to the local shops and the park entrance. I cannot say enough good things about our stay, and we will be back soon for another relaxing getaway!

I stayed two nights, first breakfast was french toast and WOW.(best in my life no joke), second breakfast was a spinach frittata also Very good (I am going to try making it!). Most of the breakfasts come with a special jam or sirup that is home made. The home has a very hommy feel to it. The rooms are very nice and feel like a nice hotel room, but no TV (not that you need) Fresh baked brownies sat in the kitchen! Don't bring pets if going to the national parks they cant really do much! Hairdryer in the hall to share if you need! They have a deck on the second floor with a fridge and table/chairs for sharing with other guest (note a room does sit behind with a window) Did I mention FRESH baked brownies sat in the kitchen?

Fortunately, I was…read moreable to quickly book a room at The Parks Inn Bed & Breakfast, despite the area being very busy. It was a fast and easy process! We found the inn very lovely and quiet. The beautiful surroundings and the inn had a charming, vintage, and cozy touch that made us excited to stay. The owner greeted us warmly, and we appreciated the hospitality after driving all day from San Diego. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to take an evening swim before settling down for the night. When we woke up, we had breakfast right outside our room in a lovely setup with a garden atmosphere. I appreciated that they accommodated my diet and were more than happy to substitute food options to make me feel welcome. My husband and I decided right then and there that we'd be back for another stay and hopefully a longer one. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway from the city to relax and unwind. Thank you!

The owner Lisa is an absolute doll filled with amazing hospitality and very artistic. You can see her work hung on the walls (she sells them as well if you find one you have to have). The gourmet breakfast was to die for! The grounds are kept so beautiful and well maintained. The house itself is filled with history and charm. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Enjoy a day out hiking or sight seeing, stop into Exter and have a romantic French inspired dinner at Monets or grab a slice of Pizza at VIP and then come back and relax in the hot tub looking up at the stars! You will not be disappointed!

We got rooms 2 and 3 which are in two separate little buildings, separated by the communal kitchen area and picnic table. The rooms were a good size and very clean (and the beds were remarkably comfy!!). As far as $$ goes, The Apple Place is clearly the best deal around. The price for both rooms together was cheaper than one room in any hotel or other rental in the area. Such an excellent value. Perfect for hikers that need a place to stay before or after a long hike -- or while they are attempting to get permits for a backpacking trip (like us!). Judy (owner and lives on site) was extremely nice and she clearly takes care to make this place comfortable and enjoyable for her guests. There was coffee available for the morning, which was much appreciated. Only negative is that it can get hot in the rooms during summer. We stayed there in August. It was ~95 outside and the rooms had no A/C. It cooled off nicely at night though, so sleeping was still comfortable.
