My partner and I came here for Christmas weekend, wanting to get away from the city, and we were not disappointed by our choice at all! The rooms are redecorated, the food Jackie serves is AMAZING and they are both so extremely hospitable! The location is really great because it is easy to get to the local shops and the park entrance. I cannot say enough good things about our stay, and we will be back soon for another relaxing getaway!

I stayed two nights, first breakfast was french toast and WOW.(best in my life no joke), second breakfast was a spinach frittata also Very good (I am going to try making it!). Most of the breakfasts come with a special jam or sirup that is home made. The home has a very hommy feel to it. The rooms are very nice and feel like a nice hotel room, but no TV (not that you need) Fresh baked brownies sat in the kitchen! Don't bring pets if going to the national parks they cant really do much! Hairdryer in the hall to share if you need! They have a deck on the second floor with a fridge and table/chairs for sharing with other guest (note a room does sit behind with a window) Did I mention FRESH baked brownies sat in the kitchen?

We really enjoyed talking to Alan and learning more the history of the house. And of course we got to meet the head of security, Mr. Cooper! The beautiful surroundings and the inn had a charming, vintage, and cozy touch that made us excited to stay. The owner greeted us warmly, and we appreciated the hospitality after driving all day from San Diego. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to take an evening swim before settling down for the night. When we woke up, we had breakfast right outside our room in a lovely setup with a garden atmosphere. I appreciated that they accommodated my diet and were more than happy to substitute food options to make me feel welcome. My husband and I decided right then and there that we'd be back for another stay and hopefully a longer one. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway from the city to relax and unwind. This was a spur of the moment get away and I said to my wife let's call and see if Dee has room. The Cabin was available to we invited our younger son and his wife and kid to join us. Everything was perfect; road conditions were we good, tourists weren't a hassle and fortunately Western Divide Highway was OPENED for our return trip home...this time through Kernville. Everything about Mountain Top B&B was great. This winter brought lots and lots of snow, Dee's car was still buried and sustained body damage as a result. The Cabin easily accommodated our four adults plus a toddler. The Ponderosa Lodge (next door) offered up cocktails and grub and a fun crowd of mountain madness lovers. I promised Dee we would return very soon...and we will.

And if you're interested in the history of the area, Monica (a fourth generation resident), is a fountain of knowledge... and one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. My wife and I were looking for a unique, relaxing get away, and Wicky-Up delivered just that... it was perfect: charming decor, delightful conversations with Monica and Jack, delicious fruit fresh from their farm... and Sweet Pea- an incredibly friendly pup who will literally lead you on a beautiful, relaxing walk through the almost endless rows of orange trees. We will never forget our stay at Wicky-Up, and I can't help but smile while writing this because Monica, Jack and Sweet Pea gave us such a wonderful weekend.

We booked the bnb for the night of our wedding since it was close to our venue. We didn't get there…read moretill 11:30pm but we had the code for the room via email. When we got to the site and our room,the Zinfandel suite, we put the code in and there was someone already in our room and in the bed. We parked a vehicle in the parking lot earlier and had called to confirm reservation and about leaving the car but no response from them so figured it was okay. The guy was related to the owner and ended up calling them about the screw up. He got the code for another room, the winemakers suite, so we ended up staying but was still freaked out that someone could get our new room code so we didn't sleep well. Noticeable amount of cockroaches were around too. Haven't heard anything from the owner about the mix up. No apology or anything.
