Dr. DiRe has been my dentist for 20 years, providing excellent care during my regular preventative check ups. During my preventative check up in 2022, he recommended a full crown for a lower back molar, and this recommendation was also stated in a follow up Patient Treatment Plan that was sent to me by email. When I arrived for my appointment in August, 2022, Dr. Flynn, a recent dental school graduate and new dentist in Dr. DiRe's practice, was assigned to do the crown. However, he said that I didn't need a full crown and that all that was needed was an onlay, which is basically a ceramic patch that is bonded on top of part of the molar. I trusted his judgment for this change in my treatment plan. During my August, 2024 preventative check up, I reported sensitivity to hot and cold (something I had never reported before) in the lower back molar area and was told by a new hygienist who hadn't treated me before to just use Sensodyne toothpaste. By February, 2025, I was having increased sensitivity and intermittent pain in the molar area. In reality, the onlay was failing and significant infection had occurred in the tooth, but this wasn't even considered by Dr. DiRe until I was in constant pain, diagnosed with "irreversible pulpitis," and sent to an endodontist for a root canal. The endodontist not only found concerning infection but also that the unprotected tooth now had a cracked root. The tooth couldn't be saved and had to be extracted. I am now in the process of working with an oral surgeon to have a dental implant. I am convinced that this wouldn't have been necessary if the tooth had been protected with a full crown as was recommended to me in 2022. I feel that my negative dental experience was due to a lack of communication between Dr. DiRe and his new dentist Dr. Flynn, who is no longer with Dr. DiRe's practice. This lack of communication resulted in a different treatment that was recommended and the one I had been informed about in writing. This has created unexpected dental expenses for me, as well as the need to be more vigilant about trusting my dental caregivers. You hear of people all the time say that someone just won the lottery...........and you say, not me again.............Well i am here to tell you that there are other things you can win just like winning the lottery. And that is............ Dr. Mark Dire, he is my pick and he is who I chose and the rewards have been amazing. When Dr. Mark Dire had an opening, for my Dental challenge, he took me on. This to me was like winning the lottery. Dr. Dire, today, April 4th, 2023, finished all of my Dental failures. Most of my dental failures were the result of my Military career and the lack of dental needs were never available at the time............. Dr. Mark Dire was so warm and hospitable during each appointment, and today, being my last appointment for this major dental work that he completed today, was pretty sad. That is, it was great that Dr. Dire Finished the scope of work involved, however, what this meant was, I would not be seeing him again.....................I would see others for cleaning maybe, but Dr. Dire would not be my appointment, unless more work was needed. So today was great and again sad as I will not be making appointments for his work anymore, hopefully. The other members of his staff were beyond professional,, they became my friends...................Can you imagine.................my thanks to Ketura, who was Dr. Dire assistant, an absolute genius, and than Chelsea, my Confident, who did my scheduling and costing report. She is heart warming and you will notice this quickly. Than Grace, the office manager. She has her hands, on everything. She will greet you when you arrive, and knows when you leave. She is cognizant of every customer, She knows every appointment on the books and she knows every charge. She is amazing. Anyone needing major work, Dr. Mark Dire is your guy...................No one is more confident in there work as Dr. Dire. You can tell by watching him work on you, that he knows what he is doing, and yoiu can see in his eyes how determined he is in being successful in every move that he makes. And anyone who needs a Dr, Dire like this needs to call his office. He is the best and his staff is right behind him. read more

I had my first cleaning in January and received a large bill 6 months later. I was not advised of this additional charge at the time of the cleaning. Stay away! This Dentist overcharges, does not provide clear communication and was dismissive on the phone. I will not be returning. read more

I am one of those people who doesn't like pain. You know, I'm one of THOSE people. If you're like me and pain is not your friend, I think you will like the service you get from this dental office. I originally went to this office because it's the closest dentist office to my work and I had a previous dentist mess up my bite to the point that it hurt to chew. I worked with Dr. Wu, he fixed my bite and I'm pretty happy with everything I've experienced so far. I felt comfortable with the office staff and would highly recommend. read more

I've been going to Dr. DiRe for years. I was reminded how great his practice is when I tried another dentist closer to my home in Seattle that just wasn't as good. I thought staying local was important, but it doesn't compare to having a dentist you trust. The staff is great, the environment is comfortable, he gives very practical and reasonable advice, and the office has the equipment to handle complicated procedures on sight. Do yourself a favor and look up the word 'Excellence' because Dr. DiRe Dentistry exudes excellence in every sense of the word. I've been going to see Dr. DiRe since I was in elementary school and there's a reason why I've never strayed after 20+ years. His staff is the most welcoming, courteous, and hospitable team of people who strive to be the best in their art without sacrificing the the personal connection with each of their patients. I recently went through the process of getting veneers and I could not be more amazed with the ease and professionalism Dr. DiRe and co. brought to this process - the communication regarding the pricing, process, and referral was clear and flexible depending on my preferences. They worked around my schedule to make sure everything went smoothly throughout the process and made me feel comfortable during dentist visits. I can't imagine going to or even think about going to another dentist. I've grown up with this dentist and they really make me feel like family when I walk through the door. ALWAYS CHARGES EXTRA COSTS! Although I believe that Dr. DiRe and his staff have the professional skills for their practices, I don't quite agree with their attitude. Dr. DiRe always wanted to recommend ("sell") unnecessary treatments during my routine check-ups. They often applied additional treatment without getting consent from patients, resulting in unexpected costs. My husband was suggested to have a new dental filling and the assistant said it should be covered by the insurance. And we ended up paying $600 for the filling. Dr. DiRe recently referred me to an unnecessary oral surgeon visit, which ended up with painful biopsy and $800. We are definitely leaving, not coming back again. Beware that Dr. DiRe is a Delta Dental Premier provider, not the general Delta Dental PPO provider. read more

Dr. DiRe gave me my smile back! I was born with missing teeth and lived for decades with my 1980's bridgework. It was sized wrong, didn't match my existing teeth and over the years had turned the most awful color. I am in my fifties and finally it was time to give myself the confidence of a beautiful smile. Dr. DiRe worked his magic and now I have a gorgeous and realistic smile. Thirty years of never showing my teeth in every picture that was EVER taken of me and the lack of confidence caused by my old bridgework are now gone! It took me about three weeks to learn to smile naturally! I will be forever grateful to Dr. DiRe and his amazing team for this gift. Dr. Dire has all the fancy gadgets and I felt he used them for billing higher prices for unnecessary procedures. He is a user and advocate of Cerac Crowns made while you are in the office which is convenient , but when placed on your back molars, they tend to break and need to be replaced. Expensive the first time and I have had to replace two. Dr. Dire is also a poor communicator as to what is happening in your mouth. His staff is nice and my hygienist was great, but I felt he was banking up for retirement. I saw a new dentist last month and really felt much more informed in understanding my dental history past present and future. read more

My wife told me about her amazing dentist, so I went. I had two crowns done and I was blown away by the technology. Previously when I had crowns done it took two weeks and I had to have temporaries which would fall off. At Dr DiRe's I got them both done in a single visit taking 2 hours. The coolest part was that the crowns were machined in a CNC mill right next to me. No molds or impressions, everything was done with a few swipes of a high speed camera. I was also impressed by how well the staff worked together; they were really on top of things. Getting crowns done is never a fun process, but Dr DiRe and his team made it as pleasant as I could imagine. The front office was also friendly and helpful when dealing with my insurance. Despite the distance from my work, Dr DiRe will be my dentist now. read more

All my life I've listened to what my dentist recommended when it came to doing things to my teeth. Fillings, crowns, bridges were all recommended over the years and luckily, I've always had good dentists and things worked out okay. But for the first time in my life (and I'm nearly 70) today I felt like I was truly in control of the decision taken to what was needed for my teeth. The technology in Dr. DiRe's office allowed for that. This afternoon when Dr. DiRe conducted the comprehensive review of the status of my teeth, he used some amazing technology that showed me views of my mouth I'd never seen before. The 3-D images of my entire head, a number of different x-ray angles of my jaw and teeth, along with several color photos of my teeth and mouth -- enabled me to see for the first time what my dentist was seeing. Dr. DiRe's thorough explanation of my dental status, including a medical soft-tissue review for cancer screening was immensely helpful for me, not only to feel confident about what was really going on in my mouth (I could actually see it), but also for the first time, understand the meaning of what my dentist was trying to tell me. For example, Dr. DiRe pointed out a tooth toward the back of my mouth that was slightly cracked from a years-old silver filling and had leeched into the surrounding tooth causing a discolorization of the enamel. Worse, I could see the unacceptable gap between the slightly cracked tooth and my back molar, that with bacteria build-up would eventually cause me to need a crown, not only on the tooth with the silver filling, but also the adjacent molar. The real benefit of the technology is, I didn't have to blindly rely on what my dentist was telling me. For the first time, I was able to actually SEE what the situation and evaluate what needed to be done. Dr. DiRe didn't have to tell me what was needed -- I was able to see it for myself. And thus I felt the decision to have an onlay crown procedure next week was MINE, not because the dentist told me it was needed, but because I COULD CLEARLY SEE it was needed myself. The technology in Dr. DiRe's office allowed me to see clearly everything from all angles, consider the alternatives, make my own evaluation and make my own decision of what needed to be done -- because of what I SAW versus what I was TOLD. That made all the difference and I walked out of his office with a sense of control, a sense that I was the true decision-maker, and most importantly, a sense of genuine confidence that what was going to be done was clearly the right thing to do. read more
