Well I don't understand why they just don't make their site where you can buy pool passes or whatever ever they need you to Buy with a money order and you can use your card on the site and if they're really that bent over service fees tact them on to the price.... Update : so the place is still beautiful..the people are still just as nice. I LOVE it here and today just reassured me how much I do and how great the people are here. There are things going on right now beyond my control and I went to the office and was greeted by faces who still knew exactly who I was and Karen... This women ... Just wow! In the middle of another client she stopped to asked me why I was so sad and was the most supportive "stranger" she didn't HAVE to stop and ask. And it was very sincere! I felt like I was talking to a girlfriend or a family member! The price may scare some people but goodness the quality and the people make it soooo worth it and I get to call this place home! Thanks Karen :) ...... We literally just moved in... And the place is beautiful. Ita newly renovated/upgraded. One of the few that has an upgrade of the existing upgrade! It's absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't be more thrilled. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I think they dropped the ball. We went to sign papers on Friday. Our move in day and when we went to so our walk through... The painter was still in there doing touch ups, I'm not sure why you're still in there. Our town home should be ready for move in. Nothing should be broken everything should have been done. We did our walk through and we ended up ruining clothes because of the wet paint, all of our closet doors have to be adjusted, the walk on closet has to be scraped and painted... And The walk in closet light wouldn't turn off. Oh and gfi outlet in the bathroom was installed. Little things and quick things that aren't a big deal but we are moving in and people are in and out with us. In my opinion... And hopefully they see this and will take on consideration. A pre walk through to make sure EVERYTHING is ready and good should be done before a tenant walk through is done. But other than that so happy to have a new home and a beautiful one at that surrounded but extremely friendly people who are very welcoming and such a great staff .

You so adamantly defending her in the reviews only shows that you have no idea how she acts on a day to day basis with tenants OR this is actually you, Karen, replying to reviews. There's a way to explain and educate someone on the terms of their lease that neither include belittling the tenant OR coping an attitude bc the person has more questions. But being older can be a bargaining chip in your favor also the massive amount of traffic on route 1 can make getting in & out at certain times is almost drive you insane cause traffic won't let you out. Since it is on a major highway you will have anything or anyone drive by & crime is a possibility. ( hit & run ) All these things you should address before signing a lease. The maintanence dept does a decent job staying up with problems as they arise & thats good. Overall not bad just be aware of where you are & all scenarios.

My favorite thing about living here is the gym access and the Olympic sized pool. It's nice to be able to work out in a quiet gym where the meat heads aren't grunting and sweating on everything. My only suggestion to the facility is that they should add heavier weights as well as a water cooler and sweat rags. They also have an amazing business center where you can use the WiFi and their printer if necessary. I would definitely recommend the Ark community to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to call home.

The complex failed to notify its residents when a gun was pulled on someone inside the complex itself, or when a multi-million dollar drug bust was performed in the complex, or when someone drove their car into an apartment. The maintenance team will respond to you within a week or two of your concern provided you call them daily. When you have water leaking into the floors of your apartment due to a crack in the foundation you are told good luck. Thankfully we are now moved out but the issues DO NOT STOP THERE! We (My girlfriend and I) had lived in this complex for years, even moving from one apartment to another in the complex. I asked Amanda if my pet fee was transferable and was told it was but after we had moved from the Terrace section to the Summit section I was forced to pay the pet fee again. While that is crappy that I was lied to, the real kick in the teeth comes from the fact that after moving out they want $300 to fix the carpets of the apartment we were in. Apparently neither of my 2 $500 pet fees can be used to clean 3 small ink stains and one the size of my palm. So if you're looking for a place that will lie to your face, put your family in jeopardy, fail to repair minor things without making you call multiple times and jump through hoops, and in addition want to take $1000 of your money and refuse to use a cent of it to cover your repairs after you gain the sense of mind to leave this cesspool, feel free to look into living at the Grand. Had a couple of maintenance issues while staying there but they were very helpful and quick to resolve them. It was a great experience overall and would recommend staying here to anyone. No problems and I love the office staff until the 2nd…read morebad snow storm we had My daughter slipped outside our apartment, as soon as It happened I personally called the office myself but the office was closed already for the weekend. At the time of her slip and fall none of the walkways were shoveled, the snow just began to accumulate on the ground so it was not shoveled or salted yet. About 2 hours passed I went back outside to get my grand daughters toy out of the car and noticed they must have received my call because they came by and the walk way was cleared and salt was down. Monday came and gone, mind you I have a lot of health issues and with the cold damp weather my COPD, diabetes neuropathy, and my arthritis is very bad those of you who have these issues will truly understand and with 2 deaths of people I knew passed away all in the same week so I kept telling my daughter she needed to follow up with the front desk and she didn't. I placed another call to the office the following Monday. Somehow in the middle of the call right about 5:59 pm we get disconnected. I attempted to call back twice, no answer but the front desk closes at 6pm, how convenient. My daughters fiance and I drove to the office, lights out door locked. It's now Thursday and all I hear is crickets. I hope I catch my neighbor outside because he has the door camera and I want to see if he has it saved I don't understand why all this trouble. She slipped and fell, and she is very sore still. I am hoping she is okay. Since all this happened I put in 2 maintenance calls for my toilet and no one has addressed that or returned my call either. I can see if we are troubled tennants but we aren't, we never missed rent always pay in advance, never cause trouble. So if considering moving here just keep that in mind. All I know is once our lease is up we won't be back here again. Frustrated tenant.

Over the years, we had to call maintenance 3+ times to fix our dishwasher and/or our garbage disposal. We constantly had to relight our pilot lights for the stoves because they never stayed lit. Any time we got a shower, even with the vent on, there was always a yellow film dripping down the walls. When told to the main office about this yellow stuff, they told us to leave the bathroom door open when showering.... The rent increased every time we re-signed our lease. And we were charged multi times for late rent when IT WAS NEVER LATE! In the lease, rent is not technically late until after the 5th of the month, and there is a rent drop slot in the front of the main office. Of course, we had no way to prove our rent check was in the drop slot so they would charge us. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the apartment next to you. And I swear they will let anyone move into their complexes. We had some of the most rude, loud and ignorant neighbors I've ever had. Moving out was a NIGHTMARE! We were charged $800+ in "damages". The list of damages given to us did not describe what we were being charged for. I contacted the office to tell me exactly what o was being charged for. They sent pictures of some things, but couldn't tell me where exactly the damage was. I sent proof pictures back of things that were NOT damaged but they still insisted there was damage. They do not refund any money left on our laundry card. And they don't tell you that even after being out of the apartment for 1+months, you are still paying your utility bills? I was so happy to be out of that complex and I would not recommend any of my family or friends moving there.
