Elizabeth's assertion that the photographs are merely "management's property" does not address,…read moreexplain, or refute what the photographs actually document. The images clearly show internal electrical arcing, melted wire insulation, and a scorched electrical plug located inside the PTAC unit. These conditions involve internal electrical components located behind protective housing--components that a guest would not ordinarily have access to, much less the ability to alter or damage during a stay. The physical evidence depicted in the photographs is consistent with an internal electrical malfunction and raises serious questions regarding the inspection, maintenance, and condition of the facility's equipment. Inconsistency Regarding the Alleged Copper Pipes There is also a significant inconsistency between the company's police report and the charge imposed against me. In the police report, the company alleges that I stole copper pipes. However, the company charged me only for a PTAC unit and has not provided an itemized charge, invoice, valuation, or other documentation identifying any alleged missing or stolen copper pipes. The company should not be permitted to rely on an allegation of stolen copper pipes in a police report while pursuing a separate $700 charge for a PTAC unit without clearly identifying the property allegedly involved, the claimed loss, and the factual basis for each allegation. Lack of Proof Management has provided no competent evidence establishing that I caused damage to the PTAC unit or removed any copper pipes. A $700 charge imposed days after checkout--arbitrarily divided into $300 and $400 charges--does not, by itself, establish liability. Absent supporting evidence, the attempt to attribute an internal electrical failure to me, or to accuse me of stealing copper pipes, is unsupported and disputed. I will not accept responsibility for damage that the available photographic evidence indicates originated within the PTAC unit's internal electrical system. Nor will I accept responsibility for an alleged theft that the company has not substantiated or included in its charge against me. Requested Documentation If management maintains that I am responsible, it should produce objective documentation supporting each allegation, including: * A contemporaneous inspection report; * A certified electrician's assessment; * Photographs establishing the condition of the PTAC unit before and after my stay; * An inventory or inspection record showing that the copper pipes were present before my stay and missing afterward; * Fully itemized invoices identifying the property allegedly damaged or removed; * Documentation explaining the basis for the $300 and $400 charges; and * Evidence establishing the ownership, alleged loss, causation, and actual value of the property at issue. Preservation of Evidence I am formally requesting that management preserve all records, photographs, maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, invoices, inventory records, communications, surveillance footage, police-report materials, and other documentation relating to the PTAC unit, the alleged copper pipes, and the $700 charge. Any continued assertion that I am financially responsible should be supported by competent, verifiable evidence establishing the specific property involved, causation, ownership, the alleged loss, and the actual amount claimed.

In a hospitality outfit like this with the in-room jacuzzis and libertarian approach to collective usage of the property - something I think enhances its nostalgic charm - there are certain aspects that require either appreciative tolerance or overlooking it entirely. The situation is what it is. We all find ways to adapt. For example in our room, the toilet seal was completely broken for our first 12 hours we were there. I got weirdly familiar with how to fix the toilet. But it did get fixed. I agree with whoever here said strange lighting choices. Very true. And the jets are weak in the jacuzzi but it does get super hot. Ceiling mirrors are what you're there for. I saw Puxatawney Phil in the yard. Breakfast sucks, but I don't eat breakfast anyway. Coffee available all day in the lobby. Worth it! Would go back!

Black mold on the tub, mysterious stains all over the carpet, appliances did not work, that old 80s smell, and torn curtains that surrounded our heart shaped bed. The service was okay but we ultimately decided to leave early and did not stay the night as intended due to the rooms condition. We were not offered a different room and were refused a refund. So ultimately, maybe find another location?

However; I did attend a wedding ceremony/reception here for a good friend of mines who I was excited to celebrate and see walk down the aisle. My mother and I picked up a bottle of bubbly for the newly weds as a gift and as we were simply signing the card and putting the bottle in the gift bag the manager walked over to us and told us that we could not open the bottle there. We assured her that the bottle was not going to be opened, as it did not belong to us as we were giving it to the bride and groom as a gift. She walked away and then maybe nomore than 10 minutes later the employee is walking over to us telling us that his manager told him that we had a bottle so he came to address the same issue that she had already mistaken misread the room and addressed... Really annoyed and upset us because here we are simply enjoying the wedding, NOT opening the bottle and we practically were harassed for having it... almost felt watched afterwards too. So yeah, I would not consider hosting any events here or if you do, advise your guest to leave these kind of gifts in their vehicles until afterwards or something because that was ridiculous. The food was okay, servers were attentive not the less and the wedding turned out nice besides that hence the only stars I could cough up here but the manager should not have addressed us or anyone else that way--it's rude, uncalled for and offensive.

I have no complaints and would gladly stay here again.

I've been having a hard time writing this review. I have really mixed feelings about my experience…read moreat The Lily Inn. I'll start with the pros: The Inn itself was beautiful and charming. It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.
