So looked up this place and it got the best reviews in my area and I had a very pleasant experience here. It was clean, staff was pleasant, and machines worked well. I will say that they posted that they were having an issue with their hot water lines so some of their machines were cold water only on the cycles but they were clearly labeled and had plenty of signs explaining what was going on and that they were working on it. Here was the price break down: Top loaders: 3.75 Front loaders: 6.75 + 1.00 extra for "super rinse" Dryers: .25 for 5 min any temp Mega loaders - not sure, just said "Time left" and a slot for quarters Soap Center - 1.50 each There's a kid's area, a snack machine, change machines take 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s, and an ATM. Also a couple of arcade games. Staff does not have change but they do offer a wash and fold service on site if interested.

Sadly, the night before while washing a load clothes my washing machine suffered a major breakdown. I remembered that a friend of mine at EMU, used to wash their clothes at Laundry Land since they lived off-campus. So I loaded up the my clothes baskets, grabbed the change jar, and tossed everything into my car. Heading down Michigan Avenue was a breeze at 1:00 a.m., but at this time of night, one has to be very careful in this part of Ypsilanti. This section of town has more than its fair share of drug dealers, prostitutes, and robbers. Thankfully, when I arrived there were several people inside making use of the facilities, so I knew I wouldn't have to wash alone. Thankfully, everything worked out just fine. I was able to wash my clothes, especially my dress shirts for the interview coming up in several hours. Sadly, someone else got the job I wanted, but using a laundry facility is an experience one will never forget in the wee hours of the morning.

They're usually very helpful if I need something back in a certain amount of time and will work with me if something needs to be picked up faster than normal. My clothes are always clean and undamaged when I pick them up. So there's no complaints there. They do a good job, though I can't comment on their pricing since I can't say I visit many other dry cleaners. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Dry cleaners can have a terrible impact on the environment. It's hard to say one way or another what Sunny Village's eco-impact is simply because they don't advertise it one way or another. I'd like to see all dry cleaner take active steps towards minimizing their long-term environmental impact, and I'd like to see Sunny Village brag about what they're doing to support that. Overall, I'm going to keep coming to this place. They do good work, I'd just like to see them take an extra step towards using more eco-friendly solutions rather than the typical harsh chemicals.
