I purchased a set of four Michelin cross-climate tires online and scheduled an appointment for installation, order number 48637388. I arrived three hours early, hoping to avoid any delays. However, as soon as I stepped inside, Lyle informed me that I was fortunate to have come in early because they wouldn't have time to perform my alignment if I had arrived at my scheduled appointment time. Twenty minutes later, Lyle approached me again and revealed that there was only one mechanic available, and he might not be able to perform my alignment. I explained that I recently had suspension work done on my car and couldn't drive away with $2000 tires without getting an alignment. About fifteen minutes later, Lyle approached me again and requested the wheel lock key. I informed him that my wheels don't have wheel locks. He insisted that my lug nuts required a special key and then told me that there was nothing he could do and would issue me a refund the following day because there wasn't a manager in the store. I requested a receipt or some form of documentation to confirm that I was getting a refund, but he instructed me to leave the store. I went to Discount Tire just to double-check if my lug nuts required a special key, and they confirmed that my lug nuts are regular 17mm socket and that it's not advisable to trust someone who doesn't know that to work on your car. I also visited Mercedes of Schererville, and they provided the same information. This is the second set of tires I've purchased from Belle Tire, and I will never spend a dime there again. I will strongly advise everyone I know to avoid dealing with them for their vehicles. The next morning, I called to speak to the manager, but they informed me that he's still not in and to try calling at noon. The lack of a manager's presence explains Lyle's behavior and lack of customer service. At the end of the day, I'm glad they didn't work on my car. I can't even imagine the corners they would have cut if they had done the work. I also found the tires for $120 cheaper at the Tire Barn and had much better customer service. They were actually persuading me to do other services, not the opposite. read more

MERRILLVILLE, IN location **1/5 Stars** "Completely unacceptable customer service and inventory handling at the Merrillville location. I came in to honor a warranty on a tire originally purchased from the Orland Park store, but staff initially claimed I wasn't in the system and tried to deny service by saying a nail was too close to the sidewall that I wasn't in the system I had to pay for the tire . I called Orland Park location ( night and day , completely nice and professional) and they saw me in the system with no problems and saw my warranty. Side note: To make matters worse, this location has a history of major mistakes--years ago, this same company in Merrillville, IN actually put the wrong size tire on my car, which I drove on for years before the Orland Park location finally caught it. When Orland Park cleared up the current system mix-up, Merrillville associate Aron told me a replacement tire exact brand would arrive by Monday from warehouse and there was one left. They had a different brand comparable can be in by tomorrow noon . I decided on comparable but called back an hour later to just wait for the exact same brand tire. When I called to confirm, the employee named **Aron** completely changed the story, claiming there was a '50-50 chance' it would arrive and arguing that 'if everyone does their job, if it gets pulled , if they have it, that's what happens.' When I pointed out he never mentioned a 50-50 chance initially, he became argumentative, gaslit me about what he had just said moments earlier, and told me 'that's how it is everywhere.' I asked him how and when would i know if it will there on MON? He said when they pull it . I asked him how do they know he said the warehouse emails them. So how when will I know ? Do i call sat morning ? All he said is they should receive an email sat. No no guidance there.To top it off, when I asked to speak to the manager, Erin refused, stating the manager was busy and didn't know when he would be available, completely brushing me off. Trying to get a valid warranty honored should not involve arguing with rude staff who take zero accountability. Extremely disappointed." read more

I bought 4 tires from belle tire - one tire leaked air for a while - took my vehicle in to get tire rotations and balanced - took 5.5 hours to get my vehicle in the garage then it took total 32 minutes for service - another tire leaking air took it back got the 1 tire correction took 2 hours after I left this last time the technician put 71 psi in my tire. When I need more tires I'll go elsewhere. Bill read more

I had a tire that needed replacing and it was in the three year warranty I purchased so I only paid taxes! I've used the service warranty several times in three years. Bought four tires and alignment (8/20/25). Driving home, the steering wheel is crooked and the truck pulls to one side. One of the wheel weights is already missing from its clip. When I called back about this, I was told to take it to the dealer because they have the correct specs for alignment. I'll never go back or recommend Belle tire. read more

I have been going to this particular shop for about three years, today I went in for a tire rotation. I knew from the last time I was there that the left front tire sensor was out and needed replacing, but the other three sensors were still in working order. So, when one young man mentioned it to me again today, I was aware and still expected my other three sensors to still be working. I got into my car and none were working, when I went back in another young man told me they reset it, I did not request it, and told him I had expected the car to work as I had brought it in. When I told him I did not want to pay the $80 to get the sensor, he said he would do it for $40. if it had been left alone in the first place, it would not have to be "bargained" down. Was on the way home from work on new year's eve, Tire went flat on the highway and pulled over at the next exit. Used my tire repair kit since I didn't have a spare. Called and got a response from Adam, was very cool and helpful. Was able to get me in since they luckily had a tire in my size and was fairly cheap. They also gave me a quote on replacing my rear brakes(was overpriced but that's everywhere) but I appreciated them making me aware. Took about 40 mins in and out the door. I was here in October and got Michelin directionals installed on my CX-5. When I got home, I noticed they were put on incorrectly. I called to tell them I needed to come back for them to mount them correctly. They reinstalled them and I asked for some sort of discount on the service as this was a major error for a TIRE BUSINESS. I was handed over to a manager who offered 10% off an oil change. Since I can't trust them with tires, why would I go here for oil changes? These tires were a significant investment and they acted like it was no big deal that they were mounted wrong, so it'll be no big deal that I don't give them repeat business either. read more

Do not ever use this facility for tire repair! I was sceptical because I've never used them but for the specific tire I wanted they beat everyone on price even Walmart by at least 45$. But as my wife was waiting for about an hour she said the manager said to her they are going to have to replace two lug nuts wich would be fine but then ten minutes later they came and said four out of five lug studs on one wheel are spinning they can't be tightened they would have to be replaced then gave her a bill for 1,400$ to replace with the excuse of I put antiseeze on the lug studs. The fact is they didn't put my lugs back on with a torque wrench they put them on with a high powered impact and went over the required 130ft lbs of torque and tried to blame me for it do not use there services. read more

Went to Belle tire to get 2 front tires installed, an alignment and AC recharge. The lady (Tiffany) at the front counter called me and said there was a problem with doing the alignmen. The mechanic said I had a worn upper and lower ball joints that required replacement. I just had the ball joints replaced less than 20k miles ago! I asked if I could see the worn ball joints. I was taken into the garage where the truck was on a lift. I asked the mechanic (Mike) to show me the worn joints. He took a 3' pry bar and tried several times to get movement on the front end components but he couldn't'. Tiffany instructed him to complete the alignment. I was also told that my vehicle required 3 lbs of 134a for the recharge. I checked the capacity specs on google and my AC capacity was 22 oz. I showed this to Tiffany and she made an adjustment to my bill. When the service was complete I was given estimates for ball joint and brake replacements. Other than the courtesy at the front desk this was a terrible experience. Just another place trying to sell things that are not needed!! I won't be returning and would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
