Since this is my first review of 2023 and also my 100th, I decided to review a place that serves…read moresomething very near and dear to my heart: Bubble Tea! Food: I tried two things; Cookie butter bubble tea and the pandan waffle. I love anything cookie butter so this bubble tea hit the spot exactly how I needed it to! It's probably the best thing that tastes exactly like the actual butter/biscoff cookies in a different form. I love it so much I'm planning on using it as a reward as I accomplish my 2023 goals! It is extremely sweet, so I suggest telling the cashier to make it less sweet. The pandan waffle was also delicious, it is a regular waffle but they use food coloring to make it look wacky. It is sweeter like cake but still crispy on the outside. They have a large variety of tea and toppings options so I'm sure you'll be able to find what wets your whistle. Service: Service was great. Since it was my first time at this cafe, the cashier was very forthcoming with information. She was the one to suggest that I make my bubble tea less sweet. Ambiance: The cafe is pretty small on the inside. It has some seating but isn't a place to hang out and have a drink, so just grab what you need and leave. It is cutesy like most places that serve these types of drinks. The menu can be overwhelming since there are many options but as previously mentioned, customer service was great at info with the drinks. Overall great place and I can't wait to visit again. Happy sipping!

On the menu, there are chè, coconut and avocado drinks, smoothies, coffees, boba tea, and yonami, fruit and yogurt beverages. Snacks like waffles and macarons are also available. I'm boring and went with my usual, black tea with milk and boba. At first, I was surprised by how warm the drink was, but it cooled down considerably from the restaurant to the car. I loved that so much boba was included with the drink, AND that they were so tender and chewable. I thought the drink was a bit sweeter than I would have liked, and I will remember to ask for half the sugar the next time. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was cute with enough space to relax and enjoy our drinks with friends.

My favorite is the original vara juice it's a whole layered experience. It starts with coconut at the bottom, then strawberry, followed by--you're going to think it sounds weird--avocado. But trust me, it's so good. From there it blends into mango, and all together, it's like a rainbow of flavor. Honestly, one of the best smoothies I've ever had. I just had to share it with my mom and daughter, who are both foodies like me--and they loved it too. My mom lives closer to the Garden City location, but I usually go to the one in Dearborn. This location is better if you want to sit and lounge. Definitely better location with a parking lot that isn't small or on a one-way street like Dearborn. All I can say is--if we ever get a Vara Juice located Downriver, I'd be there daily because I can't get enough!
