We walked in after seeing it while driving by and fell in love with a walnut live edge slab for a countertop. The owner said it would be a few weeks to be ready, and the price was a little higher than we wanted, but we were hopeful it would be worth it. Despite the couple hiccups and delay in completion, the owner was great and only cared about if we were happy. Literally offered to make the changes we wanted with a smile and reassurances that he'd work on it till we were thrilled with what we got. In the end our countertop looks amazing!!! (I'll add pics when installed). We are so happy and will definitely come back. I will admit that their prices are a little high compared to other shops near where we live (state college) but you will walk out with something incredible. 10/10 would recommend

Buyer Beware! Placed an order through their website for a walnut olive bowl. After placing the…read moreorder I called to request the shipment to be delayed a few days. Spoke to John and confirmed the item ordered and delayed shipping request. Package arrived as planned however it was not the item ordered. I called and spoke to John and was told "We don't have that style bowl, my son hasn't changed the website photo." Why he didn't mention that on our first call I couldn't say but was not impressed with switching my order for a totally different bowl. I asked how do I return the bowl for a refund, John said to just box it up and send it back. I said I shouldn't be paying for the return as they sent me the incorrect item. John said he would email me a return label. It's been four days and no email as yet. I emailed John using the address on the website to ask for the label, no response. At this point I'm stuck with a bowl that I didn't order and would advise anyone to think twice before ordering through their website.

FDC and I were in the area so we decided to check out the new digs. The shopping center it's located in is large and has ample free lot parking. The space is bright and open. What we noticed was a change - in the old location there were rows and rows of shelves, with dishes organized by pattern or color. If you were hoping to find a replacement for a broken plate in your pattern, or to add to your set, you could easily do that and chances were, they'd have your pattern even if it was passed down from your great grandmother, who brought it with her to the New World. In the new space there was thoughtful merchandising of items, displayed in settings with style groupings but not necessarily patterns. Saw some patterns scattered in different places, like Kings Crown Ruby Stained goblets. I get it, they compliment lots of styles. Finding 5 of them may involve hunting. The store is lovely and well displayed. We found inspiration and were charmed. It's still a great store, it's more though general shop for amazing dishes and such and less looking for an item in a pattern. In its former format, Dishfunctional filled a need no one else had. Now it's just shopping for cool stuff. We'll still visit, my dish loving heart weeps though for what was lost when some real estate developer decided what West Chester really needed was more "luxury condos" on a semi-industrial area. One other thing - they still have a robust eBay presence so if you are looking for a specific pattern or style, check there. Also Alfred has an encyclopedic knowledge, so ask him about what you are looking for - or if you want to know more about a gorgeous bowl- if he's there.

Since F was in Phoenixville on business, I figured I could dash in and check to see if it was still there. When we got to the door there was a sign up saying the store was closed for inventory....oh no I was so disappointed BUT the lovely lady inside saw me peeking in and opened the door. I told her my story and she was so kind and gracious to let me in as long as "I didn't mind the mess". Alas, the dress was nowhere to be found (my fault for not snatching it up when I had the chance). The co-owner even called her partner while I was there to see if she knew the location of the dress. I love when someone goes above and beyond what is expected in order to help a customer. Kudos to you Lulu...I will be back.

They ended up making me a cathedral length veil!!!!, a comb for the reception ( a couple renditions after the first was too big), and they made earrings for my entire bridal party. The pieces were all so beautiful and it was great to have something unique. I'm not sure why everyone on yelp is hating on LuLu. I've had nothing but great experiences with the owners and their products. Check this place out for some funky holiday gifts!
