Reception Hall - tables & chairs provided!
    Angie S.

Can't believe it took me so long to write a review for this place. Both my husband & I loved having our Ceremony & Reception here. It's a quaint, historic Chapel and reception Hall in historic Snohomish. It's the perfect venue for smaller weddings (125 - 135 people tops). This venue allows the Bride & Groom to have a beautiful "church" ceremony in the Chapel and cozy reception indoors (during Winter like we did) or spread into the lovely courtyard outdoors. Rev. Sharon St Marie (also the owner) presided over our ceremony. She & her assistant were quite attentive and helpful during the planning and day of the event. She met with us to write our ceremony and get to know us a little better. We bonded really quickly with her and still keep in touch! The pricing included 13 hours of facility use as well as an hour Rehearsal a couple nights before. We were also able to use any of the cups & saucers, coffee pots, water pitchers, decorative mirrors, silk flowers (there is a whole room of them upstairs in back of the chapel!), piano, reception/dining tables, chairs, gift table, music station, etc. on that day. There is a whole large list on the web site. This facility allows you to bring in your own catering & bar needs. There are linens to rent, or you can bring your own. The decor inside is vintage & very warm. For us, it was the perfect setting for our life event.

My daughter had her wedding at Belle Chapel on July 31, 2016.  It is such a beautiful venue.  The chapel where the ceremony took place was charming and lovely. It was so convenient to have the reception right downstairs. The reception area has French doors that opened up to a beautiful courtyard. I think having the option to have half the tables inside and half the table outside just added to the charm. It was a sunny July day, and people could spend time inside and outside. Sharon is very helpful. She gave us some good advise the night of our wedding rehearsal. She knows what she's doing.  I think my daughter had a perfect wedding day, and the venue Belle Chapel just added to the charm and magic. It was a beautiful summer day, but we did not really have any problem with lack or airflow. People loved that they could go outside too.

Overall, the venue itself is a gorgeous outdoor venue, and the owners appear experienced with wedding planning and hosting. We appreciated the fast and quick communication leading up to the wedding day, and their planning and flexibility during the pandemic. They are well equipped to set up the venue how you would like, handle large or small crowds, and make sure you've considered a lot of details of planning, which was greatly appreciated. However, our experience was dampened on the actual wedding day; in the end, we left with the distinct feeling the owners cared far more about their business and venue as opposed to caring about our happiness or satisfaction with the day.  We experienced this in many ways and heard about it in feedback from a majority of our guests afterward.  Some examples include: inspecting the tiny homes/wedding party areas during the ceremony...which we were directly told were locked and not accessible to anyone but our wedding planner.  As it turned out one of our guests had brought hard alcohol (against the rules) to some of the wedding party - unbeknownst to myself or my husband. The alcohol was sought out and found by the owner as soon as the ceremony started. Subsequently, the owner brought this to our attention grand total of 15 minutes after our ceremony, implying that we would be losing part of our deposit. This was just added, unnecessary stress in the middle of the wedding. Some of our guests and wedding party reported being reprimanded for smoking several feet outside the smoking areas, some for holding sparklers incorrectly, and some for parking the getaway car 30 feet from the building as opposed to 50 feet and an overall feeling of being policed. These were all small things, but in the end, all these small things ended up being a large and unexpected detraction from our otherwise perfect wedding day. When booking this venue, understand that the owners will be part of your wedding day, not in the background.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU MICK!…read more My husband and I only ever saw one venue because as soon as we saw Hidden Meadows we knew it was everything we had talked about. Our ceremony was in November so we had an indoor ceremony in the chapel area and loved the reception area. We had such a beautiful ceremony! The bridal suite was perfect and had plenty of room for everyone to get dressed in one area and have hair/makeup done in the other. The grooms room was far enough away to make sure no one peaked until it was time. We also had such beautiful grounds to take pictures in. It was too cold and rainy for an outdoor gazebo ceremony. But the pictures we took there are going to be magical. We didn't really have to do too too much to the venue itself for decorating because there is so much natural charm and beauty to the venue. I also have to mention the exclusive catering company, Wooden Spoon. I was nervous to have them as our only option but we had the most delicious meal and received sooo many compliments. Tyler was able to work within our budget and not make it feel like we compromised at all. They also have an awesome rental room with so many decor pieces that we didn't have to worry about bringing with us or taking out of the space. I know I'm biased but it was the best wedding I've been too!

I was a guest at a wedding held earlier this month at Hidden Meadows. According to the website,…read moreHidden Meadows has been owned by the same family for five generations. It used to be a working dairy farm too, before it was a sod farm. Cool! Hidden Meadows isn't too hard to get to from the Seattle metro area, but you definitely need a car as it's in a rural/farming area. We passed some apple farms on the way which made me want to stop and pick apples. Alas, no time. The parking lot was right in front of the building's entrance. Even though you can have weddings outdoors, the ceremony was held inside as it had poured earlier. It's nice to have that option in case the weather doesn't cooperate. It wasn't too clear where the bathrooms were. I probably could've found them eventually, but I asked a person familiar with the place to point me in the right direction. They're on the other side of the chapel, away from the reception area. The reception was held on a covered patio which was next to an uncovered patio. There was a fire pit and also eye-catching views of the countryside. Apparently you can see mountains off in the distance but it was still a little hazy from the earlier rain shower. Speaking as a cold-averse southerner, a few more heat lamps in the reception area would have been great but I was happy to see two. The banquet hall was right next to the patios. It wasn't heated but was more enclosed. It held the wedding of nearly 200 people comfortably, with a open area in the middle for speeches, dancing, games, and other merriment. Dinner was served buffet-style on the covered patio. I had a lovely time. Glad I was able to attend a Hidden Meadows wedding!
