I am writing this to say ditto to everything from Hayley J's review! We just had our wedding here…read moreat the end of July and used the garden space for the ceremony, the patio space for cocktail hour and dancing, and the Hall for dinner. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for what we were looking for! That being said, there are definitely some limitations with this venue, so I've tried to list them below. Pros: - Very affordable, even on a Saturday afternoon/evening in the middle of the summer! (check their website for current rates: https://www.kirklandwa.gov/depart/parks/Permits_and_Reservations/Facility_Rentals/heritage_hall.htm#rentalhours). - No limitations on catering/bartending. You can hire whoever you wish to cater! - Air conditioning! This wasn't something I thought would be such a big benefit, but this summer the heat was atrocious and having the AC was such a relief. - 2 bathrooms (one on ground level, one downstairs). - I feel like this beautiful location was made for a wedding. Guests could flow so easily between each space (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner), there were fantastic spots for wedding photos (e.g., the steps in front of Heritage Hall, the dock of Kirkland Marina Boat Launch, the huge gazebo at Marina Park Pavilion), and there were tons of bars just down the street in downtown Kirkland to choose from for the after party (we went to Flatstick Pub!). - The ladies at the City of Kirkland were so nice and easy to work with. I was planning this entire wedding from across the country and they answered all my questions and tried to help out in every way possible leading up to the big day. Thank you Lourdes and Nicci! - Check out their facebook page to really see how this wonderful space has been used by others for weddings and other events: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Heritage-Hall/161827740497253 Cons: - Limited space. The indoor part of this venue is only an option for those with a small number of guests (max capacity in the Hall is 70). We only had a wedding of 62 people, and I still had fears about fitting everyone inside Heritage Hall and having them seated for dinner. It ended up working out, but the tables and chairs weren't the recommended distance apart that all the stuff online suggests so I'm sure everyone felt cozy. - Parking. Not the most fun because there is no dedicated parking for events and the spaces directly around Heritage Hall are all metered or time-limited (e.g., 4 hours, which wasn't long enough for our wedding). I think our guests either parked farther away or moved their cars halfway through. - No chairs/tables for outside. The venue comes with 15 rectangular tables and 70 chairs that you can use inside of the Hall, but you have to separately bring or rent chairs and cocktail tables if you wish to have any outside. You also can't have equipment dropped off in advance or left beyond your rental period, so you need to pay to have same-day drop off and pick up. It ended up costing over $500 to hire a rental company just to drop off and pick up 52 chairs and 4 cocktail tables w/linens, so that was an extra expense I hadn't initially anticipated. - No AV system. This isn't really an issue inside Heritage Hall because the space is small enough it's easy to project your voice, but we ended up renting an AV system for $200 to use outside for music/mic during the ceremony and dancing. If you do this, just note there is only 1 outlet on the outside of Heritage Hall on the patio, so you may need to get extension cords. - No real kitchen (only mini-fridge). This might be an issue if you plan on having true catering or need to keep items cold. - Alcohol could only be beer and wine; no cocktails, hard liquor, or beer kegs. This was fine for us, but if you plan on having signature cocktails, you'll need to look elsewhere. Overall, if you are looking for space to host a small, simple wedding with no frills but amazing grounds and easy access to other locations for catering options, photos, and after party, I can't recommend Heritage Hall enough.

It was great for so many reasons - we could say, Hey our location only holds 60 people so we have to keep it small, sorry! The people at the city of Kirkland were so easy to work with, and it had air conditioning (which was great for our 95 degree wedding day on June 30th)! The slight downside of working with the city is that you can only preview the location during weekday working hours, and you only get 15 minutes to walk around, but believe me, that's all you need. We were all worried we would be rushed, but we walked in and you enter right into the room from the front doors, and it's all right there. There is a bathroom downstairs you could get ready in that you can't really see from the info on the website. There are plenty of tables and chairs available as well, but they are only to be used indoors, which worked out great for us. You can't find a better location right next to the water for the same price point. We were very pleased!

We got married at The Carey Gardens last month and couldn't be happier with our ceremony. We felt…read moreall the love and care everyone poured into our event to make it special for us. Doug and Penny have major attention to detail and always have the bride and groom at the center of decision making. We did have an unfortunate event occur at some point during the day. The Grooms Suite was robbed and all the groomsmen (including groom) had items stolen including phones, keys, wallets, and bags. We even had a groomsman get his car stolen. The bridal party kept it from us to make sure we still had the best day ever, but it was still very traumatic and deeply upsetting. It was disappointing to find out the venue did not have any working camera security system (we were told it was an older system that wouldn't connect to their new phones) or secure place for the boys to put their valuables. After speaking with the owners the following day, they verbally expressed that they'd be installing better camera security systems, a safe in the grooms suite bolted to the wall to keep valuables, and barbed wire lining the fence line behind the grooms suite to detract intruders. This made us feel confident they were taking proper precautions to prevent this type of incident in the future. The wedding industry in the greater Seattle area is very small so it didn't take long for us to be put in contact with another couple just a few days later who had also gotten robbed the year prior. After connecting with them, it was clear the incidents were not related. However, they were also told by the venue that they installed new security system and a lock on the grooms suite (which our bridal party was never told about to utilize for our event). We were concerned that if this other couple had been told those things, then why a year later was the "new" security system too old to work or connect to their phones? We reached back out to Penny and Doug to clear the air and get confirmation they actually were implementing the changes they promised us several days prior. We were met with a very defensively toned email placing blame on our bridal party for not utilizing the lock (which we were never told about and never given a code to) and blaming our groomsmen for leaving their valuables unattended (which they did not, our coordinator - who happens to be affiliated with the venue - took all our groomsmen's valuables as they were lined up for the ceremony and placed them in the unlocked grooms suite herself.) They also provided 4 photographs in the email response: - the lock that was installed after last years incident (the lock we weren't provided a code for) - a box of barbed wire that they were planning to install (at the time of the email, it presumably hadn't been installed yet) - screenshots of the view of the security system they installed last year (again, why did it magically not work on the night of our event) - a tiny lock box that's small enough to walk away with (note, it's not bolted to the wall in the grooms suite like they previously told us they'd be doing) My husband and I have remained patient and understanding through this whole situation because we truly understand that this type of incident can happen anywhere. What doesn't sit right with us is the resistance to prevent something like this from happening in the future. It happened to us and it's unfortunate and we're moving on and remembering the good parts of our day. But at the end of the day it would eat us alive if it happened to another couple and we didn't do everything in our power to prevent that because it's been an absolute nightmare (at the time of writing this review, the stolen car has still not been recovered) This is not a review to avoid Carey Gardens. To reiterate, they took the absolute best care of us. However, we felt it would be a disservice not to warn future brides and grooms to please please take advantage of the new safety features that Doug and Penny have claimed they're installing.

We booked Song River for our wedding reception and Quyen (the owner) was so helpful from the very beginning. Im an overwhelmed bride, and only child with no siblings, and my mother has Dementia so i was doing it all alone. I never had my wedding planned from a young age so I was completely lost and scared where to begin and wanted something easy. Quyen was there to guide me and literally wipe the tears from my face (I got overwhelmed and cried). We booked the space from 11am to 11pm and Quyen sent over an amazing detailed guide to help plan my wedding and reception. I chose one of her pre-selected decorations options and it turned out so beautiful. I believe the package was called "the silk" i cant recall but it was worth it. All lights and decorations are fully customizable and we chose to go with white table linens/chairs and blue/purple lights. Vendors were a BREEZE, as she let's you bring anyone so long as they are licensed and insured. But dont stress because Quyen has a list of vendors she has worked with that know the space, we ended up choosing one from that list for food and bar and purchased the beer/wine to save some $$$. Venues are expensive but Song River is very affordable in today's market, and honestly worth so much more with how beautiful, large, and customizable the space is. Quyen is professional, kind, and knowledgeable, you will want her on your team and you will want to book this space. 10/10 amazing experience and memorable reception!

We looked at many options online and were able to narrow our list down to a small handful. After our first few venue visits, we figured we would have to settle in one way or another. Then, I searched for wedding venues in Woodinville and came upon a true hidden gem in Liljebeck Farms.  The venue wasn't advertised on the big websites and I hadn't heard of it before. I reached out to Tami and scheduled a visit. When we arrived for the tour we were greeted by Tami who is an absolutely wonderful human. She showed us around the venue and shared the history of the location and her family. Upon walking into the ceremony space, my husband and each I fell in love with it immediately. The venue is everything we wanted and more. The lighting is bright, modern, and inviting. The location has tons of parking spaces for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony. We were able to choose our own vendors and build the wedding of our dreams! The groom's dressing room is just as thoughtfully crafted as the bride's. The bar is stylish and creative. There are fun lawn games for guests. There is a rental room that has a huge selection of beautiful decor free to use for your wedding. Every detail of the venue is well thought out, from the wood to the flooring, the dance area, and the tables. Tami and her husband worked hard to make their venue into a stylish canvas upon which to paint the wedding experience of your dreams. We also scheduled time to visit the venue throughout the year of planning. Tami was very responsive and welcoming. We even came up with ideas for enhancements, and Tami and Todd updated the space to improve the experience for us and their future guests. On the day of the wedding, Tami and her family were so helpful! They helped hang things, move items, lighting, and so, so much more. This is a venue that is beyond professional. They go for the ride with you. They care about their couples and want their  day to be truly special. A lot of care goes into each and every detail to create this beautiful environment. I couldn't imagine a better place to commit to my husband and I am thankful we found this gem.

We absolutely adored the venue, and our guests did too! Thank you Emma for all your help during rehearsal and during the event to ensure all the equipment and everything was working flawlessly. We loved it and appreciate all the memories. We choose this chapel for its incredible beauty, all inclusivity equipment, beautiful location and budget. We wanted to spend less time on things like decor and setting up tables/av, and more time with our loved ones. Best pros which saved us a ton of time and funds. 1) No decor needed - the chapel is already gorgeous, and so is the exterior if you want some photos/videos 2) Equipment included - mics, av, stand, chairs, check-in tables, table cloths, brooms, changing rooms, table cloths, etc. 3) Amazing floor space and acoustics: We had lots of bollywood style dancing and performances so floor space and acoustics were important! 4) Serene - In the middle of a state park (perfect for fall, winter or summer) Free parking for all your guests! 5) Someone on sight to help ensure things run smoothly (note, this is a staff member, and not a wedding coordinator or technician) 6) Fits up to 200+ people do you don't have to compromise on the guestlist. We only had around 80 max to keep it intimate as we wanted to interact with everyone. 7) Affordable price - We would probably not have had a wedding if venue prices were any higher! Honestly this is a great deal. Cons: - Strict no food policy, though the cafeteria is right. I wish they allowed us to at least serve cake/dessert outside within the time frame as it's a cultural tradition. We brought water bottles for our guests. Instead of a traditional ceremony followed by reception, we had an intimate party the day prior at our apartment lounge with food. Cost as of 10/2019 is $1400 for summer-Oct, and $1100 for winter months. $250 deposit. This was one of the best prices when we were shopping around. Alternatives were community centers but they required us to do all the setup and decor, which we didn't want to burden our loved ones with. Absolutely Recommend for any couple who wants a BEAUTIFUL wedding (and on a budget!).

I will always remember my wedding day as beautiful and stress free because of the services provided by this business. A Chapel on Swan's Trail is a gorgeous venue with an incredibly helpful staff. The Chapel is over 100 years old and located up high on a hill with a beautiful view overlooking the Snohomish valley and downtown Everett. The grounds are gorgeous with lush landscaping and something to see everywhere you look. The best part of the venue, in my opinion, is that it can be held indoor or outdoor. On my wedding day we hoped for an outdoor ceremony but were able to easily move the ceremony indoors once we saw the rain was not giving up. We moved indoor for the ceremony but the rain broke and we were still able to have the reception outdoors. Lynn, the owner of the Chapel, seriously took the weight off of me in helping figure out all of the details in planning and she took lead on the day of. The first time I went to the chapel to meet with Lynn I was overwhelmed and after leaving I felt like things were making sense and everything was under control.
