The staff were super nice but unfortunately the quality was not good or they were too busy watching the game. Because I received both services at the same time, I had to sit in the pedicure chair but turning my torso to the left the entire time - it was super uncomfortable. All of my fingernails were cut to different lengths, there were bubbles in the white immediately, the gel is on my cuticle and was peeling within 2 days, and multiple of the nails cracked on day 3. Because a different person did my pedicure the thickness of the white tips were different, and the gel is clumped up and rough on the sides. The price was definitely not worth it.

I'm a mother, work 5 days a week, and all I wanted was my nails to just be corrected as I was told to come back in the morning, 46 minutes I was in the salon and no one helped me, everyone just starred at me. Walking into Athena Nails Spa I had really high hopes that it would be my go to place…read moreunfortunately, that's not the case. The deluxe pedicure is advertised to take 30 minutes however it took a full hour. It seemed like the technician was paying attention to detail since it took so long but nope my toe nails are lumpy and, you can see the first coat under the bottom coat. I also didn't appreciate the fact that they didn't tell me that gel was $15 extra when I asked if they did gel pedicures as I couldn't find it listed under their services, I was just told when I was ready to pay. (I'm not saying it shouldn't be more but, it's their responsibility to let the customer know of any price change). I always get dipping powder for my nails and they just feel more bulky than usual. The nail technician also didn't notice that he painted over some nail shavings which isn't really visible unless I point it out however I see it and it bothers me I work hard for my money and, I don't like paying for something that I'm not happy with. Sadly it wasn't a happy ending with Athena Nails Spa in total I spent an hour and 50 minutes and paid $104 (not including tip which I always leave no matter what) for nails that I already want to redo. New York prices but NOT good quality.

I am just going to give my honest opinion as usual, but I bought a Groupon for this nail salon that…read morewas a good deal yesterday. However, I called several times to set up an appointment during business hours. Yet, it kept ringing and ringing. Their voicemail wasn't set up either so I could just leave a message and a call back number. It was frustrating to say the least. Then, I decided to post a question in regards to that situation on Yelp to which the owner replied with "text me." I thought that was strange, because if you are to set up appointments via text message, it should be stated somewhere, because more often than not, most appointments are set up via phone calls. Anyway, the screenshots that I uploaded were of my conversations with the owner to set up an appointment and it was the most confusing thing I've had to do to try to get my nails done. There seemed to be no professionalism. He then proceeded to call me, because I figured he just didn't understand what I was trying to do via text. The phone call was also painful. He gave me a date and asked me what time between 9A-7P that I would like. I asked for 10AM and he said it wasn't available. Therefore, I asked what times do you have available for me to choose from. He proceeded to say 9A-7P. It felt like I was getting nowhere and my nails were never going to get done with the way things were going. Eventually, we finally come to an understanding and set up an appointment for the 12th at 11:30AM. However, after a little bit of thinking it over, I decided to cancel my appointment, because I can only imagine what the service itself would be like and I want to know I'm getting my moneys worth and good service. Therefore, I asked to refund my Groupon. Then I decided to contact my nail technician! The other screenshot is to show how quickly I got a response from my other nail technician I usually go to. Something they also mention on their site and Yelp and what not that appointments can be made via online, text, or phone calls. Something that Cynthia's should make known on their website or other platforms. Overall, I was not a fan of the short but significant interactions I've had and experienced. But, I do wish them the best of luck with their business.
