The service was amazing and the food was phenomenal. I have visited many times over the years, but felt it was full circle to take my now ten year old there for treats. The lady at the register was extremely sweet. She answered all of our questions and made suggestions as to what we were in the mood for. The variety and selection is HUGE. We ended up deciding on dessert bars, a cinnamon roll, a few cookies, and some cheese straws. Just as it did years ago it hit the spot. Everything was delicious. As a girl with family in Charleston the cheese straws are amazing! Many may think that this is just a local bakery to order cakes from, but it is also a delicious bakery with fresh baked goods every day. They are 2.75 a piece, literally just come in and try 1 or 2 to see if you like them. Then pay for the consult if you really want. The middle was moist but about 1in of the cake towards the outside was hard as a rock. We literally had to dig to get the good part of the cake. The chocolate was so lite didn't even taste like a good chocolate cake. I asked for chocolate mousse and that was the weakest mousse ever had no volume nor fluff. So safe to say the cake itself was bad. We would have been better going to fresh market or sams. Now the Embellishments and decor was so out dated and it had no pop nor anything extravagant look. Mind you I paid $242 because I wanted a show stopper cake for my sons 1st bday. I was extremely disappointed with not only the quality of cake but beyond disappointed with the art work. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Nice people but it takes more then being nice to run a successful bakery. They also added a smash cake for pictures when my son went to obviously smash it the cake was rock hard with frost bite. My mouth just dropped. Now the owner did give me a discount in the morning because the cake wasn't done and ready at the time agreed on. Honestly I could have looked past all that.
