I scheduled two hair spa appts for my friend and myself. The best way to describe the experience is a nail salon trying to be a spa. The massage screamed nail salon massage- kinda hurts, kinda all over the place, no technique or real skill. There were weird transitions between the tools used as well. One minute a head scratcher was used, then the facial started, more hair, then facial, then massage... plus the transitions from hot to cold was weird. Steam in the face, then a cod face mask and roller, with a warm eye mask. So weird. The hairspa part was rough. No circular massage or scratching, it was just hair washing and really hard scraping with nails on the scalp. This lasted an hour. Then, I sat awkwardly in front of a mirror while she brushed my tangled half wet hair and blew a blow drier thru it. I have naturally curly hair, so she ran her fingers thru my hair as she blew the hot hair so it made my hair really poofy and wavy. I told her she could stop, so I could manage at home, and she continued. Finally she stopped. At the end, they gave us some tea and she watched as I tried it. Made me question what was in it lol I also paid for an upgrade for scalp analysis, which involved them pulling the camera and looking at my scalp after it was done and she said "see? All clean." Great analysis. The atmosphere was cute. I'm sure they do such a great job with their other services, but if they want to advertise hairspa, they should lean more into the spa piece of it and learn about different types of hair.

Every single time I go to this place, I go in hoping they might have improved, but nope, I'm wrong…read moreevery time. I literally let my brows grow out for weeks so they have enough hair to work with and can shape them properly. Yet somehow, every single time, my two brows come out looking completely different from each other. I clearly explain that one of my brows was previously messed up by someone else, and I very politely ask them to either fix it or leave enough hair on the other brow so they can at least look similar. But when they're done, there is still a MASSIVE difference between them. I understand that eyebrows are never going to be perfectly identical, but mine look completely different, and anyone can tell. I honestly don't understand how it's this difficult to find someone who can consistently do brows properly. Sometimes they do a decent job, and then the next time they completely ruin the shape again. Once too much hair is removed, there's nothing you can even do except wait weeks for it to grow back. It feels like there's no attention to detail, they just want to get through clients as quickly as possible and move on to the next person. I genuinely don't understand how people get hired to do brows professionally while putting this little care into their work. I'm tired of growing my brows out for weeks just to have them messed up all over again.
