Nathalia was great. I showed her the look I was going for and she made some recommendations. Her studio room was comfortable and cute. I'm on my second week and the lashes are still on. She even told me to let her know around the three week mark so she can remove them properly so my lashes aren't damaged, no charge just an appointment. We had great conversation in between. First time getting lash extensions and LET ME TELL YOU!! She was absolutely amazing! She took her time to really talk to me first to get the exact idea of what I wanted, she explained everything in detail and she was willing to look through all of my inspiration photos & screenshots! If you book for eyelashes then make sure you got some time to spend there because she takes her time to make sure she is perfect! Also, as soon as she had me lay down she put on some comforting music & I was out! I woke myself up a few times by snoring! Lmao she was so polite about it & told me I was totally fine to go right back to sleep! I was sooooo comfortable with her. Growing up in Hawaii, we loved soaking up the sun. It's true, every day is beautiful in paradise and more often than not, kama'aina enjoy the warm radiant shine. What's sunscreen you ask? Well, that's something, some of us rarely ever used until it was too late...Sun damage....you can spot my dark spots a mile away. Alright, maybe not a mile but you can see them from 6 feet away! Don't get me wrong, I love the skin I'm in :) Just once in a while, maybe a special occasion, I don't feel like seeing the sun "damage." That's when Nathalia came to my rescue! She has a really cute place in Dixon. It's easy to find and they have lots of free parking. I explained the look I was picturing and voila, she brought it. Each careful application of texture, color, or angle, was carefully done. She has an extraordinary array of palettes and she is the genius artist that successfully concealed all the dark spots. I sent a message on yelp for last minute eye lash removal and a new install. She immediately reached out and got me on the schedule for the next morning. All the other reviews are 100% accurate. She gives you a full education on lash care and the installation process. She took her time, as the lash work I had done prior (by another esthetician), was heavy with glue. She took her time to break it all down and to remove the old lashes. It was a tedious process but she wanted to ensure the health of my lashes. I was so comfortable I feel asleep. She makes sure you are warm and your neck and legs are well supported. I cannot wait for my next appointment!!! OH MY GOSH!! Nathalia is the kind of person who you feel an instant connection to. She is extraordinarily talented. She made my 57 year old face look fabulous, She gave me the confidence I needed to feel beautiful on my son's wedding day. I met her last summer when I drove 456 miles to do a hair and make-up trial. I didn't know what to expect. But she was terrific and explained EVERYTHING to me! She explained the difference between classic and hybrid sets, the cat eye and the doll eye style. My friend Rachelle O. had done a full session at DSP and also highly recommended her. Spring/Summer 2021 is the time for fresh new photos! I had a photoshoot lined up with Mariah Ann Photography and Veronica was immediately the first one I thought of to take care of my hair and makeup. It was simple to book with her via this Yelp business page, do a phone consult and retainer payment via Venmo (remainder paid when services rendered). Unfortunately, the late May shoot had to be rescheduled last minute [photographer] and Veronica gracefully was able to accommodate the new early June date and time, appointment was in the afternoon the day of my shoot. She's located inside Salon SL8, entrance to the left of SL8 Fitness and Nutrition in Woodland. (https://sl8fitness.com/the-salon-at-sl8/). Veronica was very responsive with any communication (Yelp, IG, phone/text), which I appreciate. My portraits shoot was going to be outdoors (Old Sacramento) in the late afternoon/early evening so the hair and makeup had to be ready to withstand any wind/breeze and heat/sun. I showed her a photo of the floral cold-shoulder maxi dress I was planning on wearing to get an idea of the color scheme (to match makeup palettes) and what hairstyle would work best. First was the hair -- we went for beachy waves rather than full curls, and pinned twists in the back, sort of half-up instead of a total updo, no braids this time. Set with hairspray after letting that settle a bit, I loved the soft, romantic, flowy look she achieved! I let down the pins but next-day the soft waves still look great. Next stage was the makeup, also such an amazing job! Smoky eye, winged liner, bottom waterline liner, thicker eyebrows, false eyelashes, concealer, foundation, contouring, blush, a berry/pink matte lipcolor with some moisturizing color on top, and a rose-scented setting spray to lock it all in! It was such a "wow" transformation/makeover, dramatic but all for better effect in photos. We even stepped outside to make sure it was all looking great (color matching, etc.). I love how it all turned out, and can't wait for the photoshoot images to come back for the final look. Veronica was so sweet, I'm so happy I decided to work with her for this occasion. At the end of the shoot, I had dinner at The Firehouse in their courtyard because when you look hella cute, make the mostest of it! Huge thanks, Veronica!
