The final product produced a beautiful, functional and efficient space. From start to finish, we interacted with 7 different employees throughout the various stages and each was pleasurable, thoughtful and professional. After getting consultations from two other companies, we were impressed when we first met with Heather. As the designer, it was immediately clear that Tailored Living offered higher quality, custom work that others do not. And Heather gave us the confidence that we could get our dream garage at a reasonable price. Eric and Darick did the epoxy coating of the floor. Eric was especially great and I appreciated how much pride he takes in his work. We really enjoyed his personality. A couple days later, Nick, Darick and Gustavo installed the cabinets and slat wall. The job went relatively smooth and the final product was very good. Ultimately, Myrna came out to finish the cabinet door install and extended the slat wall in one corner of the garage. Despite requiring multiple different employees, they were very competent, well-organized and each of them were already familiar with the job before arriving. I was very reassuring and it made for a wonderful experience. Finally, Sabrina was the main point of contact in the office throughout the job. When email didn't suffice, she didn't hesitate to call to ensure great communication. We feel very confident referring the Tailored Living team. Thank you.

    Charged Nearly $2,000 Over Quote -- Breach of Contract, Legal Action Pending…read more We were quoted $4,459 for our project, which we accepted despite our budget being lower. We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. Future clients, proceed with caution--get everything in writing.

She also offered to refund part of the organization fee since I decided to only do the kitchen. I really appreciate her willingness to clarify and make things right. Rachel is incredibly kind, friendly, and an absolute powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. She made my home look spotless -- every surface gleamed, everything smelled fresh, and her attention to detail in the main cleaning work was fantastic. It was such a relief walking into such a fresh, tidy space. That being said, there were a few small things that could be improved. For whatever reason, I felt like she was very rushed. The trash was left right outside the apartment without a new bag in the bin, and the dishwasher wasn't started -- small touches I've had with other cleaners in the past that make a nice difference. I had also paid for organization, originally planning to do the guest room and kitchen, but when she arrived I decided to just do the kitchen. The charge stayed the same, which I wish had reflected the smaller scope. Overall, Rachel's cleaning skills are truly excellent, and she's a joy to work with. With a little more consistency on the smaller finishing touches and more clarity in pricing, her service would be perfect. I would still recommend her to anyone looking for a deep, high-quality clean.

As a new mom, I had no idea how much time I would lost (like ALL of my time!), so organizing/cleaning my house had always been on a back burner. I really wanted to hire her then but was hesitant bc I had always done organizing my home myself and just wasn't ready to pay someone to go through my things. The thought was very uneasy, but Bianca was so very kind, she came and gave me a free consult, gave me some tips, and told me when I'm ready she'll be here. A year later (still living in a dump), I promised myself when I move to a new home, I will save money aside just for Bianca and her team. Annnnnnnnd, I am over the moon so happy and glad I did!!! There is NO WAY I could've organized my new house myself in 8 days. No way in a million of years. I hired Carol for two days to help me pack (she is a serious packer, FAST too!), hired moving company, then Bianca came in, never in a million years I would think moving a house is possible in 2 weeks (this includes packing, moving, unpacking and organizing). And now, I have a beautiful organized home I live in and the best of the bestest part is, I spend SO MUCH time with my son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His speech is improving drastically, and we plan to go out more to visit the world!!! I cannot, just cannot express how much gratitude I have towards Bianca and her team. THANK YOU for giving me back my life and my old self (before the baby)!!! I knew I was on a deadline to get to organizing our home before our world turned upside down again with a newborn. Megan was so sweet, professional, and understanding of our needs and concerns and got to work right away with her team. She was not pushy, aggressive, or overly chatty as some others we interviewed were about the service. She patiently described how things worked, asked about how I'd like to approach dealing with the mess, and thoughtfully came up with a plan, a shopping list of materials (like boxes and storage units), and always, ALWAYS stayed lovely and professional. It was such a smooth process, and her team really made it easy for me to either keep, purge, or donate the clutter we had been collecting in our home for years. Every time I walk into one of our organized spaces, it brings so much more peace and joy than the stress from all the mess! We were so grateful for the whole process, and now that Megan has 'reset' part of our home, we we have been able to maintain things, as well as learning new tips/tricks on how to keep things better organized.

    DISHONEST COMPANY. TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY WITH DEMENTIA…read more My father, who had dementia, contracted with this company to move to his household items to a nursing home. The company pushed for an in person estate sale DURING THE HEIGHT OF COVID in 2020. Almost no one came to the estate sale, so it only earned $400. However, they billed $3000 just expenses toward the estate sale, resulting in a loss of $2600. After my father passed they hounded me for payment (including additional charges to move his materials to his new home, which is reasonable). Of course, my father had dementia and had no ability to sign a contract, but not wanting this to have this drag on I paid to leave this behind so I could grieve. This business claims to provide compassionate service for the elderly, but our experience showed otherwise. They exploited my father's situation, pushing unnecessary services onto him and charging exorbitant fees, all while providing negligible results. They failed to respect my family's needs and showed no accountability for their actions. If you are looking for a service that genuinely cares about its clients, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. SHAME ON JAMI SHAPIRO THE FOUNDER. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DISHONEST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Update: I'm sharing a disparaging remark that Jami made about me when I reviewed her service with the better business bureau. She knows nothing of the situation in our family, the sacrifices we made in our family, the hardships that I endured to care for my father. Hire her team if you want someone who makes nasty comments like this after your loved one passes away. None of this changes the fact that: 1) My father had major neuro-cognitive disorder when he signed a contract with this company, 2) The "estate sale" they encouraged was against his financial interest. 3) When my father passed they threatened to take the estate to small claims court when I questioned the legitimacy of the estate sale that only racked up expenses. I paid for her services in full so that we could grieve but we never forgot how they took advantage of us in our grief. This is textbook elder abuse, which is why I am reviewing and rating her company to warn others of this practice. Update: Jami continues to lie in her review. "Arranged for the sale of the car" this is something I did alone as I held power of attorney. I agree that she provided necessary moving services, which we were happy to pay for, that is not in dispute. We thank her company for this. The dispute is over holding an estate sale that earned very little in revenue insufficient to offset the costs of estate sale, and then threatening (very quickly, when I asked any clarifying information about the bill) to take us to small claims court so shortly after my father's move and his passing. That is not compassionate care. This could have all been prevented had her team donated my father's possessions rather than held an estate sale. Furthermore, her condescending remarks towards me reveals plenty about how she thinks of her customers.

They helped better place furniture, organzed all closets, hung the pictures, got rid of what was unwanted, assembled shelving in the garage, put together some purchased furniture.
