The installation itself was completed on schedule, but I was left to clean everything up afterward. The crew did not clean, and after I pointed out a few issues, they did come back and address them. That said, there were quality concerns, such as using gray nails on a black garage component and not installing an edger. I also added an item that their installer did not complete. When I later requested a quote for two additional closets, I was upfront and transparent that I planned to get three quotes. I was then told I would have to pay $100 for a quote because I had used a competitor for other projects in my home. I found this unreasonable and unprofessional.

They finally showed up around 3:30 PM and did not finish the work until after 8:00 PM. The quality of the work was even worse. The workmanship was very sloppy. They scratched the paint on the wall, damaged the closet area, and never repaired it properly. I called the office the following day to report both the poor scheduling and the unacceptable quality of work. No one followed up with us. The only response we received was a text message stating that if we wanted the problems fixed, they would need to send someone else--and that it would cost us extra. This is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend this business to anyone. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Charged Nearly $2,000 Over Quote -- Breach of Contract, Legal Action Pending…read more We were quoted $4,459 for our project, which we accepted despite our budget being lower. We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. Future clients, proceed with caution--get everything in writing.

DISHONEST COMPANY. TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY WITH DEMENTIA…read more My father, who had dementia, contracted with this company to move to his household items to a nursing home. The company pushed for an in person estate sale DURING THE HEIGHT OF COVID in 2020. Almost no one came to the estate sale, so it only earned $400. However, they billed $3000 just expenses toward the estate sale, resulting in a loss of $2600. After my father passed they hounded me for payment (including additional charges to move his materials to his new home, which is reasonable). Of course, my father had dementia and had no ability to sign a contract, but not wanting this to have this drag on I paid to leave this behind so I could grieve. This business claims to provide compassionate service for the elderly, but our experience showed otherwise. They exploited my father's situation, pushing unnecessary services onto him and charging exorbitant fees, all while providing negligible results. They failed to respect my family's needs and showed no accountability for their actions. If you are looking for a service that genuinely cares about its clients, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. SHAME ON JAMI SHAPIRO THE FOUNDER. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DISHONEST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Update: I'm sharing a disparaging remark that Jami made about me when I reviewed her service with the better business bureau. She knows nothing of the situation in our family, the sacrifices we made in our family, the hardships that I endured to care for my father. Hire her team if you want someone who makes nasty comments like this after your loved one passes away. None of this changes the fact that: 1) My father had major neuro-cognitive disorder when he signed a contract with this company, 2) The "estate sale" they encouraged was against his financial interest. 3) When my father passed they threatened to take the estate to small claims court when I questioned the legitimacy of the estate sale that only racked up expenses. I paid for her services in full so that we could grieve but we never forgot how they took advantage of us in our grief. This is textbook elder abuse, which is why I am reviewing and rating her company to warn others of this practice. Update: Jami continues to lie in her review. "Arranged for the sale of the car" this is something I did alone as I held power of attorney. I agree that she provided necessary moving services, which we were happy to pay for, that is not in dispute. We thank her company for this. The dispute is over holding an estate sale that earned very little in revenue insufficient to offset the costs of estate sale, and then threatening (very quickly, when I asked any clarifying information about the bill) to take us to small claims court so shortly after my father's move and his passing. That is not compassionate care. This could have all been prevented had her team donated my father's possessions rather than held an estate sale. Furthermore, her condescending remarks towards me reveals plenty about how she thinks of her customers.

I knew I was on a deadline to get to organizing our home before our world turned upside down again with a newborn. Megan was so sweet, professional, and understanding of our needs and concerns and got to work right away with her team. She was not pushy, aggressive, or overly chatty as some others we interviewed were about the service. She patiently described how things worked, asked about how I'd like to approach dealing with the mess, and thoughtfully came up with a plan, a shopping list of materials (like boxes and storage units), and always, ALWAYS stayed lovely and professional. It was such a smooth process, and her team really made it easy for me to either keep, purge, or donate the clutter we had been collecting in our home for years. Every time I walk into one of our organized spaces, it brings so much more peace and joy than the stress from all the mess! We were so grateful for the whole process, and now that Megan has 'reset' part of our home, we we have been able to maintain things, as well as learning new tips/tricks on how to keep things better organized.

BUT I can confidently say, working with Alicia has been a DREAM! When my husband and I moved into our new house, I cried for the first week because it didn't quite feel "home-y" like I had thought it would. In comes Pretty In Order... The process was SO SMOOTH, she was into of hearing our desires and responding quickly! My only advice? TRUST ALICIAS JUDGEMENT. I suck at interior anything, which is why we hired her, a professional, who knows what she's doing. While I loved a majority of the items we agreed on, some of them I wasn't sure about but I couldn't find anything else so I decided to trust that Alicia wouldn't recommend something she didn't 100% believe in. And sure enough, she was right. Seeing all the items come together in our space SHOCKED me and I feel like we had the perfect balance of me listening to her advice, while she also would hear my ideas/concerns and make any adjustments to make sure we were happy. It is so rare to meet someone who is so resourceful, knowledgeable, communicative, professional and can do everything. I am so very happy with André's service end-to-end. VALUE: A+ PROFESSIONALISM: A+ EXPERIENCE: A+ I set aside a budget based off of quotes from a few professional home organizers I called for just organizing our home office. It was clear I was going to go with Andre because he can also fix things and his website conveys an energy that fits mine. With Andre he completed the objective, but I got so much more, and it was such amazing value. He turned the office, once an unpleasant place no one wanted to be in, into a space where we love to be productive. He organized 3 monstrous, overflowing closets (linens, bedroom, office), fixed a broken closet door, improved the layout of 3 additional spaces (bedroom, dining room, and an awkward shaped space I didn't know what to do with) making everything functional and actually spacious. It's like he added square footage to the home. He was so quick, respectful of us and our home, and nice to our cat. I am planning to hire him at least every year.
