Rude technicians and a $20 up charge for gel! My friend and I went in today for a pedicure and the person that did her feet was extremely rough - it was actually a painful pedicure! As soon as they put the polish on our feet, we are immediately told to "get up and go sit" at the chairs instead of letting our feet dry in the chair while being massaged! I got an SNS manicure. I felt like she was rushing. I don't think she got all the previous SNS off, she didn't even soak my nails in the acetone. She was very rough with the filing tool, so much that two of my cuticles bled. I had to ask for lotion at the end. Very rude front desk person. I was told to pick a color and sit. No explanation of wait time or anything. She got upset and told me to leave because I asked about the time and told her that she didn't say anything about wait times. She was rude and condescending. All I needed was a basic pedicure. I don't mind waiting if informed from the beginning, but for her to assume that I could wait 40 minutes (she said 20 plus the 20 of me sitting down waiting with no further information). My normal salon was closed, so I went here. Wish I hadn't. The man doing my nails used the drill to remove my gel nails and took away about half of my natural nail with it. I had been growing my nails out for almost a year and they were finally strong and healthy-- one of my nails just broke halfway down the nail. They've never been so brittle. I asked him to stop and just soak them and he refused. He continued to shove my hand into the table to make sure it was under the gel lamp curing-- it was. I went in summer so there was no wait time, which was great. I got gel nails ($30, left 18% tip because I always tip regardless of outcome). Everything was fine (courteous, clean place, good quality polish) except for the actual job on my nails. The tips were fine but she applied way too much and didn't file the edges of my nail bed. It ended up looking like Lee Press on Nails...for $30! Then they started to peel off at the beds. I went back a few days later and they repaired all the nails for free. But they only fixed the edges and applied more gel. They're lumpy and already peeling off again. The service was fine but the results were a complete failure. I won't be going back. read more

Very dissatisfied with my experience here. I paid $110 for pedicure and SNS manicure. What a rip off!! The pedicure was good but $65 is too much. The manicure wasn't worth $20 - let alone $45. First of all, I paid $5 extra for a "manicure"...what I actually paid for was to have my cuticles sliced up so bad they were bleeding and burning for days. The SNS didn't fully cover my nails from the start and they were left way too long despite my pleading for them to be cut shorter. When I went in to discuss the issues the manager and his Lady sidekick began shouting and trying to make a scene to intimidate me. I would literally never ever go back here. I pay for bi-weekly mani/pedis at the east side LV Nails. This salon had two opportunities to take on a new client and they blew them both horribly. I had the worst pedicure I've ever had here yesterday. The nail tech filed my toenails so quickly that she didn't shape them. Some were pointed and others uneven. She didn't trim my cuticles and then slapped lotion on my legs. When she started to polish, I asked her if she was going to trim my cuticles and the owner overheard and came over and spoke to her in Vietnamese and then she trimmed my cuticles. Poorly, I might add. She then polished my toenails but got more polish on my skin than on my nails. The whole pedi took her 10 minutes. At checkout the owner asked how things were and I told her it was terrible. She said that the next time I come in "to ask for someone good. She can't control the skill of the nail tech". This place is pretty pricy... but they do a good job! They are often busy with a wait. If you go during an "off" time, they can fit you right in! Take into account UGA events. They're often busy before and during formal season, sorority rush, and graduation type events. They have a lot of color options and everyone is very nice! I've gotten gel manicures, pink and whites, and pedicures here. I brought my boyfriend for his first pedicure and he loved every second!! However, he said the "foot mask" wasn't worth it. read more

I've had two bad experiences and will never go back again. The door states that it closes at 7 PM, get there at 6:38 and the owner says they stop taking customers at 6:30. This place was super rushed. The lady who did my nails was really rough on my hands. She made my cuticles bleed and my nail beds were raw and painful for a few days. The irony of going to a nail salon name bellagio when the service is more like the holiday inn. The woman who manages this place creates a really awful environment for the employees. During my (very rushed) pedicure she alternated between laying stretched out in a pedicure chair by the door loudly eating and briskly walking around the salon snapping at the women working and writing down notes. She seemed to be timing the speed of their pedicures. Aside from the music and a brief clarifications about color or nail length there was absolutely no speaking. Everyone was working at a rushed pace with stressed looks and downturned eyes. The chairs were less than 30% full but everyone worked as if there were a line out the door. From the time I arrived until the time I walked out the door an entire deluxe pedicure took 22 minutes. She literally took the buffing block across the top of my foot she was buffing so quickly. I almost laughed at the absurdity as she blowed on my toes to "dry" the base layer as she shook the bottle for the actual color. She put on a single coat, did paint the edge to prevent chipping, topped it with clear, and immediately put on those silly shoes and rushed me to the drying area. The actual quality of the pedicure was unsurprisingly awful because she was moving so fast. I felt uncomfortable knowing my money was probably not going back to the employees but rather the manager who everyone seemed to fear. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I was a walk in and they took me right away even though they were fairly busy. I got a mani/pedi and asked how much SNS would be. The lady at the front told me 30 which is what I usually get charged at my regular place. So I sit down and put my feet in the still water waiting to choose my colors. When she brings me the three huge rings of SNS colors I start to look through them and I usually take a minute because I'm kinda indecisive especially since it'll be on my body for a while. Lol. Well as soon as she hands me the rings of colors she rips one hand from me and starts to file it making it extremely difficult to look through the colors. She does the same with my other hand and starts rushing me to choose a color and getting obviously impatient. I'm an anxious person so I just choose a color that looks decent even though it's not something I usually go for. She then rips all three color rings from me and rushes back. She asks if I want tips and that it'll be a $5 extra charge. I've never been charged extra for tips but I think whatever and go for it. She then asks if I want her to cut my cuticles and that it will also be a $5 extra charge so I say no because that's ridiculous and a mani should always include the cuticles and tip in the price. While she's working on my SNS the lady doing my feet asks if I want her to do my calluses for, shocker, another $5 extra charge. UHM NO. She does it anyway but thank god I didn't get charged for that! Both of them made my fingers and toes bleed. Usually it feels nice to get pampered but this experience was painful not only physically but a lil emotionally. Lol. They finish up and ask if it looks alright and it honestly looked fine in their lighting and I couldn't notice the imperfections, which I'll get to in a second, so I say yes and go to pay. The lady at the front says "okay! You had a mani/pedi with SNS. The pedi was $22 and your mani was $40 so that'll be $62!" Uhmmmm. She quoted me $30 for the SNS so I say that and she goes "no our SNS is $40 I told you that." Refusing to argue and cause a scene I just pay and leave. Well I get home and notice that EVERY nail on my SNS has a huge dip that makes it look like the tips are facing upward. You can literally see where the tip meets my actual nail. So I call the next day and ask if I can come in and get the WHOLE set fixed. She says yes and asks for my name. So I drive from Commerce back to Athens and show them the issue. Both the lady and man argue with me saying the don't see it but it's very noticeable that even my boyfriend who doesn't notice ANYTHING said something about it to me. So I say "there's no way you can't see that" and they look closer and go "OH well when you get your nails done that happens" NO IT DOESNT. So it say "uhm nooo it doesn't. I get my nails done often with SNS specifically and this has NEVER happened" So the guy offers to fix ONE nail. I refuse and say "no y'all can just take them all off and give me a refund because y'all quoted me incorrectly and then royally screwed up my nails so I'd rather go somewhere else" They say they can take them off but refuse to give me a refund because it's "policy" and this is the owner saying this!! I used to work at Starbucks and we're told to break policy to make the customer happy but this nail salon absolutely refused. So I say "okay I'd like you to fix the whole set then" to which they reply "we'd have to charge you". At that point I just walk out. WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Do not go here unless you're willing to pay way too much for crappy nails and then get charged again just to get them fixed!!! read more

This place is your average nail salon. In a hurry to get you in and out without paying attention to what the customer wants. I was seated right away which was nice and asked to pick a color. I did fairly quickly but then I was asked to pick a different color and brand. She brought several others out to me before she said the one I picked was okay. No explanation of why though I did ask what was wrong. Two different people painted my nails and they were both in a hurry. They left some polish on my fingers and hand and didn't even attempt to get it off when I asked. I was told halfway through that there would be a $5 fee for polish removal which is ok but that expectation was not set from the beginning. And no other nail salons have asked me to pay that before when I'm getting them redone. Only one week later and some has already chipped off. And this is gel polish. Today I had a very bad experience at Bellagio nail bar In Flowery Branch, GA. I told the person at the front desk I wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I went there in the past, and always payed $62 dollars +tip for both. I was very clear I wanted the gel manicure and the $32 dollars pedicure (2a). I had one lady doing my manicure, and another one pedicure, they asked me again about the kind of services I wanted, and I said again, but then they asked me which scent I wanted for the massage, I said lavender. It took a longtime to have the nails done, they did massages, etc. Then the final price was $88 dollars. The problem was not only the overcharge, they said they offered me the extra services.....I "probably" did not understand, but I had told them 2 times what I wanted. I left the place very upset with the treatment I had, I asked to talk to the manager, the ladies told me they did not have a manager, but then another woman came talk to me, and she said she was the manager, and she said she would charge me less if I gave them a good review. I did not accept to give a good review, then she charged me the full price. And to make the experience worse, my nails look bad, like the nail polish was maybe old, it is too thick, not even. The last time I went there about 2 months ago I had a very good manicure done, so I would say if you go there make sure to explain clearly the services you want, and if you are luck to get a good professional it may work ok, today was not a good experience at all, but be aware they try to "sell" extra things in a very rude way. read more

Very disappointed. I went here based on recommendations from friends. I got my SNS nails done and they were very quick to get us in and out. They weren't very kind and treated us like we were just money to them. I went back two weeks later to have my SNS removed since I just had them done for a special occasion. They took a nail tip out of the box and proceeded to shove that under my SNS to 'pop' it off. It was extremely painful!! It also ruined my nails, since I lost the top layer of my nail. It's taken around 8 months just for my nails to be somewhat healthy again. I couldn't believe they made me pay for that! Unfortunately, I was unsure how they were supposed to remove SNS since it was my first time or I would have said something. I went and had acrilic nails put on Mother's Day weekend, the salon was packed and had maybe a 15-20 minute wait (not complaining due to every chair being used by customers & I was enjoying a nice little break from my children), however I've tried to call several times to make an appointment or to get pricing but I keep getting the same recording of the mailbox is full. Knowing good and d*** well that they were using the phones my entire visit so I know they have a working number. My friend and I went to get SNS manicures here. We walked in and there were only a couple of people in pedicure chairs but they asked us to sit on opposite sides of the salon. I asked if we could please sit together and explained that we haven't seen each other in a long time and were hoping to catch up. (She just returned from being out of the country for almost a year.) One of our techs asked the other tech to move and she rolled her eyes and argued with her. She did come over to our side and sat in front of me. I apologized for asking her to move and explained, again, that we had not seen each other for a long time. (I think it reasonable to ask to be seated with your friend... especially when you are the only two people getting manicures.) Basically, the entire time both of the techs were pretty rude. My friend was told the color that she wanted was out and they did not even help her find a similar color. The manicures were sloppy, painful and rushed. We both left dissatisfied with the customer service experience and with our nails. I understand that some people have "off days" and generally try not to judge a place off one experience. But this experience was pretty bad and, now, reading other people's reviews it seems like this is the norm for them. Really nice, clean nail salon. I walked in and was helped immediately with no wait. I got a pedicure and sugar scrub and it was fabulous. They also have 4 children-sized pedicure chairs, and offer childrens manicures, pedicures and polish change that are a reduced rate than the adult version!
