I like a really buttery, thick Hollandaise and this wasn't exactly what I normally like. It needed a bit more flavor. I did like the sumac and dill seasonings as an addition! Rosemarino is a real treat and a rarity; they obviously care a great deal about the quality and authenticity of the food but have kept the prices extremely reasonable. Perhaps my favourite thing about Rosemarino - other than reading a paper or having a meal with friends in the light, relaxed atmosphere - is their events; such good value for a truly unique and special social or culinary experience. I paid £20 for an evening of great food and Italian language lessons! Keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming events. I would strongly recommend any one of them to anyone looking for something new and interesting to do with their evenings. Failing that, just pop in for breakfast, brunch or aperitivo!

Yeah, it's £6 but worth any penny!!! It's a wise choice if you are taking the family or going with your friends. You will be like at home.

The Bakewell cocktail was delightful, but you should definitely finish it before the food arrives-it was almost like my dessert came first lol. I started with the bread plate (normal, focaccia, and grissini) which was clearly meant for two or three people but I made a hearty dent once I tasted the combination with the basil butter and Sicilian olive oil. At first when my server poured the oil, I thought it was too much...but I probably could have drank it if it didn't go with the bread so well. Next was the scallop starter which had such delightful sauces and was perfectly cooked. Finally, I paired a red wine (brought out well-timed for the dish by my kind server!) with the squid ink linguini with Devonshire white crab (starter portion)...I wish I had enough space in me to finish it all. The modest staff and kitchen really make magic happen there! The Raven, a cool pub, is just around the corner and would make also a nice stop afterwards if you can fit anything more after such an amazing meal! Will certainly be back on another trip to Bath.

As an Italian cuisine snob, I had lowered my expectations for finding quality Italian outside of London, but we were pleasantly surprised. I had a delicious soup and some quality pasta. This set the bar for me wayyyyy high especially knowing they have a location in Thailand and France. I have a gluten intolerance and really wanted to try the pasta as they are known for their homemade pasta. on the menu it stated gluten free pasta available so I ordered the lobster pasta dish with gluten free pasta; the original dish came with linguine however for gluten free I could only get Penne which would mess up the dish as its a much heavier thick noodle that goes best with a dish with some type of sauce. So I said I will suffer through this dish as it will be worth the side effects....WRONG. It was not worth the night and next morning. my dish was flavorless, and the lobster was extremely small. My partner ordered the steak medallion dish and truly enjoyed his; however I believe it was the nostalgia of the moment of return versus anything else. For the drinks I ordered a lychee martini and we had a bottle of wine. my lichee martini was too strong to enjoy so I gave to my partner. I have came, saw, and no desire to return.

Had the opportunity to dine here for a work dinner while in Bristol. The overall experience was…read morereally good... the wait staff was very attentive and the layout of the restaurant is really interesting. There are lots of traditional and unique menu options including a variety of pastas and antipastos to go around. I ordered a caprese-esque app with fresh burrata and avocado and tomato. A bit of balsamic glaze would have really set it off but it was good. I got the lobster pasta for main course which came layers over the shell. It's a nice touch but admittedly becomes an obstacle in working through the dish. The pasta is fresh made and was cooked perfectly... the lobster however was a little over done and a bit chewy as a result. Still a well composed dish with lots of flavor. I also ordered a side of truffle/parm fries... the truffle was plentiful but the fries were pretty basic (almost as if they were frozen vs fresh cut). In my opinion, a more rustic chop would be preferred. The only major complaint I would have is that it took forever to get our main course served. The apps came out quickly but the kitchen must have been backed up because even the maitre de was visibly frustrated. One person in my party had to wait an additional 8-10 minutes after our food was served almost as if her order was forgotten. We had a fairly large party (12) so it is not unusual to wait a little longer for food but it did seem excessive. Overall though it was a good experience and I would definitely go back again if given the chance.

Went for the set lunch at £19.50 (3 courses) - plenty of choice. Started with a fish Kedgeree and for the main course went for the Salt Cod. Do not skimp on the Dessert Course, this was simply delicious (Chocolate Delice). My companion's dessert looked equally impressive and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. However, delivery was adequate to slowish but they were very busy. Ambiance fresh and modern with Abstract pieces of art on the walls. Proper napkins - always a plus. Mixed crowd of all ages gave the impression that this was a lively venue. I noted there were no children - so if you have screaming babies or unruly toddlers, maybe best to avoid. All in all good VFM - well presented food & goodish service. Recommended if you want to impress a business colleague or a Date.

The food here is fantastic, but just a little too salty…read more It's a very cozy restaurant in the basement of the Queensbury hotel for fine dining. They have a six-course tasting menu for £65 a person without wine pairing. An extra £30 I think with wine. We didn't think it was worth it. Instead, we went for three courses a person a la carte. We started with the crab lasagne with pesto and the fried quail (latter on the tasting menu). As I said before, the dishes were a tad on the salty side, especially my crab lasagne, but the taste for both dishes were delightful. Towards the end of the night, they completely sold out of the crab lasagne. For mains, I had the highly recommended pan fried halibut by the server, and my bf had the venison with a few pieces of brussel sprout and apple sauce. I loved every bite of my halibut. I'm normally not a celery person, but the celery mix they made went perfectly with the mushroom mix. The venison on its own i was not a fan of, but a bit mixed together with the apple sauce and brussel sprout masked the gaming taste. My halibut won. For desserts, I got the mango souffle and my bf got the passion fruit parfait. The mango souffle was custardy on the inside and the sorbet that was supposed to have melted inside was a bit too tangy. My bf's parfait was in a giant frozen dark chocolate ball. It was okay. The desserts did not impress - but the dessert wines were a hit for the both of us. The service was a bit rushed but otherwise good. The wine selection was great! My bf and I have a penchant for South African reds and was delighted to see they had at 2009 shiraz. The dessert wines that were recommended by the menu to go with our desserts were wonderful. Some notes: - automatic 10% gratuities - portions are small - they dont offer you tap water when you're seated but they do serve them in pitchers An excellent restaurant overall.
