Bella Villa is my FAVORITE place to go to when I am getting my vintage fix on. Seriously, who doesn't like old, charming stuff? All her pieces have a lot of character and Rosanna (the owner) curates everything you see in her shop. I can tell she thoughtfully picks out her pieces. She's pretty sweet to boot. First time in this shop was after a stop at Aldie Peddle - when Wally told me I had to go check out Rosanna's shop because not only does she have a great collection, she is a sweetheart of a person to boot, I had to stop in and see for myself. I would love to bring my mom and dad in here. Dad would swoon over Rosanna and mom would be wowed by all the affordable and elegant antiques. She is a vivacious Italian who is full of personality and charm. Her shop is a mix of elegant, rustic and just plain fun. Thanks to Bella Villa, I now have so many elegant wine, martini and liqueur glasses that I am having trouble finding space to store them. They were so beautiful (and affordable) I couldn't resist. My mother collects stamps and old postcards - Rosanna had a lovely collection and I took quite a few postcards with me in my last visit. To boot, I found the cutest baby book - the child's birth was recorded as 1917. I could spend hours wandering this shop and never see all that she has to offer. Even my husband enjoys this shop - although truth be told, I think it's more due to Rosanna than her wares. If you drive through Aldie without stopping here you, you are seriously missing out. Stop and have a taste of wine with Wally first, then wander across the drive to Bella Villa. You will not be disappointed! read more

I am NOT an antiquer, but Bella Villa is an antique shop that feels like an Anthropologie-esque boutique. Run by Rosanna Smith, a feisty and energetic Italian who tells it like it is, I loved that Bella Villa was full of rustic, whimsical and elegant items. And all very affordable! My favorite pieces were accessories: a golden duck perched on an aqua crushed velvet arm chair, a series of flying pig statuettes and gorgeous antique books with jewel-toned bindings. (Those books came home with me and are now a perfect accessory to my living room side tables.) Loved it, and I'll definitely be back! read more

I used to love going to Luckett's Store in Luckett's VA because it had all of the coolest things, old doors, salvage, bath tubs, and the inside was a another world of treasures, (several floors actually). I was so glad when Bella Villa came to Aldie because now we have the same kind of cool place in Western Loudoun! Bella Villa has just about anything you are trying to find, AND the things you don't need to find but are so happy you did! This big old house with the creaky stairs in just fun and funky, with a little chic thrown in. Several things have made it from their home to mine, (not a long trip)! How many characters does Yelp allow for reviews? I have so many wonderful things to say about this shop that I am afraid I would exceed the character limit! I was lucky to stumble upon Bella Villa's listing on Yelp one day when I was actually searching Yelp for restaurants. I clicked on the listing when I realized how close to my home it was, and when I saw the photos I knew I had to go see what it was all about! I had no plans to go shopping for antiques that day, but I got ready and presentable for the outside world just to see this place for myself. When I got there, I was amazed at how gorgeous not only the items were, but the presentation of the items displayed in every room of the shop. The owner, Rosanna, was there that day and we hit it off instantly. She is bubbly, funny, sincere, and full of life and laughs that would put many ab workouts to shame. I spent almost 5 hours there that day - again, I had not planned on going shopping - and also spent $400 on the most fabulous finds for my home. I've been back many times and every time it a new experience as some things are sold and new items are brought in. She also offers her items as rentals for weddings; as a wedding photographer, I have already taken advantage of this for styled photo shoots! This is NOT your grandma's antiques store. Bella Villa is truly in a league of its own when it comes to vintage and one-of-a-kind antiques. Are you in your car to head over there yet? You should be! read more

I LOVE this place! I've been coming intermittently for about two years now with my older sister when she's in town. The owner is absolutely lovely and remembers us each time we come back. I've never had a bad experience here. Love the atmosphere, the people, the products...definitely the best antique shop my older sister and I have ever been to, and we've been to quite a few. I was really looking forward to stopping in this shop while passing through Aldie, VA. I found the items to be somewhat interesting and unique, but a lot of the items were junky and overpriced. The woman working in the shop was rude, abrupt and not very interested in answering some questions I had asked. (I do not believe she was the owner - she was not Italian). Some of the chandeliers were very pretty, but I found it odd that NONE of them seemed to be in working order (not a single light fixture - and there were a lot of them - had all of the light bulbs lit, and some of them did not even have light bulbs in place.) When I asked about whether or not the chandeliers were working, the lady in the shop seemed irritated that I had asked such a question. I would never make a special trip to visit this shop and am not even sure I would bother to stop back in if I were passing through town. I expected a lot more based on all of the other reviews. read more
