Since it was the first time using her service, she met with us one night so she could get to know our dogs, ask questions about where we keep food, etc. One of our dogs in particular is a rescue dog and has a lot of social anxiety when meeting new people. I loved how patient Genevieve was with her and by the end of that first visit, both dogs had really warmed up to her. We did a couple of practice walks before we went out of town and both times I came home to a very thorough note about how the walk went, which was a really nice touch because having used other services before, I've often been left wondering if the dog walker came, what happened, etc. While we were out of town we had a couple of updates from her, letting us know the dogs were doing well. Where is this facility? I'd be curious to know if anyone has actually seen the boarding facility. Also they did not inquire about pet vaccinations, which is highly concerning.

Both dogs adore him and sit by the door waiting for him to arrive (at least they do when I'm working at home). Breen is very professional and extremely reliable. He hasn't missed a single day these two years that I didn't know about well in advance (the occasional holiday). His fee is very reasonable. He's good about not staying out too long if it's very cold or hot out and only billing for the shorter time. Highly recommended! Update: It's been 10 years now and the dogs still get walked by Dog City four times a week. Still highly recommended!

But seeing Valerie's preparation with all the necessary documents, vet information, emergency contacts, and daily schedule made it immediately clear we were in good hands. Valerie was watching our cat, which included feeding, playing, and litter-cleaning. She also offered to take in the mail, water any plants, and send text/photo updates as frequently as every day (we took her up on the last offer, which was charming and gave our family some good laughs over the holidays). It was like we never left when we returned, and I can't imagine a better compliment for a pet sitter. We came back to a happy cat, which made for some happy cat owners.
