I was a guest at this house (Cave Creek House) in the past 60 days, as we had a group of 18 ppl,…read moreincluding kids. I wanted to write this review as it was a supposed to be an amazing house for large group vacation and it turned out to be somewhat frustrating. The house is shown in photos and looks absolutely beautiful, however in person it was very frustrating the amount of things that were broke or not working. This house seems to be rented a lot and not enough time in between renting to fix and maintain this property. Upon arrival the two outside trash cans were overloaded. This was on Sunday. The trash guys comes on Tuesday, so it was our responsibility to get the previous rentals trash out to the curb at 5:30 am. With no outside lights, you needed to do this in the morning. Also 2 trash cans for this size of a house was ridiculous! First day we needed to replace 17 light bulbs. Most lights were still burnt out, but sick of replacing. Let me tell you that Walmart was a daily stop. The ice maker in the freezer didn't work so we had to buy bagged ice everyday. But we found it funny there was a chest freezer in the hallway, hmmmmm. While the refrigerator and freezer looked large in scale, the shelves are much smaller (depth) than your average refrigerator/freezer at home. The dryer took three cycles to dry a small single load, we are assuming the vent is so very clogged and could start a fire. Dishwasher #1 the broken parts where on the top shelf of the dishwasher and whole door was loose, we never used. Dishwasher #2 ran so hot and just ran by itself. Needless to say we did all dishes by hand. There were a very limited amount of towels and were very small in size. We actually thought about purchasing new towels for the house. There are four bases for blenders in the pantry and nothing matches to the base. We were going to make margaritas. Found a Cuisinart glass cylinder, but no Cuisinart base for it to match up to. The move theater room didn't work until the last days. When the person came to fix it, only the TV worked. The projector didn't work as it needed an new light bulb. Some recliners in the room were broken. The pool lights didn't work, no swimming at night. No outside lights on the house worked, on the front or back. You can see there are lights out there, but they didn't work. Neither did any of the lights on the walk paths outside. You just follow the light of the house to get back in at night. The fire pit gas handle was broke and smelled of gas. There was only a little ring in the large fire pit that worked. It look like the rest of the ring was rusted an broke. Lots of large cemented outdoor pots with broken plastic tubes, assuming those were the umbrellas for the seating areas. The chairs were nice and comfortable. Every toilet seat was loose, I went around to tighten them and most of the screws were stripped, so there was no tightening. Lots of squatting and hoping nobody would fall. All outdoor activities were a bust. There was only one wand for the shuffle board. The few basketballs there were flat, so we purchased a pump the balls didn't stay inflated. The horseshoes were missing. There were no bath mats outside of showers, nor shower hooks for hanging towels. So you have leave leave on the floor or bring a chair into the room. So many light switches and you have no idea what lights work from what areas. Labels would be beneficial. Oven is very very slow in heating and heats to the incorrect temperatures. The Nespresso in the kitchen doesn't work. Looks like it hasn't worked in years. Air conditioning was very spotty...Upstairs bedrooms were freezing, not enough blankets and the downstairs bedrooms were so warm, we wished we could've kept patio doors open, however there were no screens. Overall the owner basically didn't want to deal with our frustrations and never stopped over to listen or look at all the problems. I think he knows of the issues, but doesn't want to deal with them. It was a nice vacation, however the price paid was way too much for all the issues.

We really enjoyed it!…read moreWe went back a few weeks ago with our families, lots of things broken, freezer doesn't work, ovens don't get warm, handles of of showers come off, dryer vent completely clogged, so we couldnt clean and dry our clothes...so we cleaned it out, one of the dishwashers was busted, the roof was leaking...... because go figure we had rainstorms the first night. Anyway, for around $1800 a night you could find a better house with an owner that responds a little better. Granted we made the best of it, but this is a premium price which owner didn't really care to keep up even though it's a rental property. In the owners defense he took these things in consideration and because we had a lot of garbage and cleanup was a lot thought it was a trade off.... I don't agree!

The quality of the finishes and the upkeep are second to none. Holiday Rentals, the Management company is the most professional, most organized and efficient management company we have ever experienced. The house was spotlessly clean and extremely well stocked. We could have lived there for 2 months and never run out of supplies. We also had 10 people and there were enough towels for several weeks, without doing laundry. Our direct contact was Kyle and he was amazing. He spent the good part of the first afternoon showing us the property and how everything functioned. He also called several times just to check-in and make certain we didn't need anything. He was also extremely responsive. Anytime we called to ask a question he was Jonny on the spot. One time I got his voicemail and I did not leave a message, but within minutes he recognized my number and he called me back. I would absolutely seek out Holiday Rentals and I look forward to visiting the "On The Rocks" house again.

Over the last few months, I have interviewed half a dozen vacation management companies in search…read moreof a great parter to manage my property in Old Town Scottsdale. All of the other companies that I had spoken with were experienced and knowledgeable, but nothing about those conversations left me excited about partnering or gave me the confidence that they would manage my property with the level of attention and care that I expected. I felt like my house would just be one of the thousands of other properties they manage across the county. They cared more about getting the sale than working with me to develop a tailored strategy for my home. I set up a call with Ellie (Owner) to hear what she had to say and learn more about her approach to luxury vacation rental management. It immediately became clear to me that Ellie knows exactly what it takes to not just do well in a competitive market such as Scottsdale...but how to excel and produce extraordinary results. Ellie provided guidance and what it would take to get my home to appear in the top search results, generate the highest possible nightly rates, provide a full service luxury experience to guests, top reviews, and a management team to support the entire operation so that I can be a completely hands off owner. She backed up everything she said producing reports with 24 months of property performance on all of HomeSlice's existing properties. I not only hired HomeSlice to manage my property, I hired Ellie to do the entire interior design and I am SO happy I did. Her design was incredible and she put 100% of everything I needed for the home in my shopping cart...only thing I had to do was make click "buy". The #1 thing I learned during this entire experience was to not go looking to hire a property management company....look for a partner you trust and one that will produce results. I found that in Ellie and her team at HomeSlice.

I think maybe air bnbs in Arizona should require AC? Idk if that's just me. She treated our group like we didn't know how to operate a very simple thermostat. So much that it took her hours of telling us how to use it, that it was too late for a technician to come. It was so hot, we had to be outside. We had 10 people. 1 was pregnant, and 4 more of us were not drinking. She tried to charge $1,000 for a noise complaint that was never made. Which she says that her neighbor took "multiple videos and photos" of our "house party" of girls in the pool with bikinis on! She never sent the actual video that we can listen to. Just a screenshot. But that pretty creepy of the neighbor to take videos of girls in the pool. So maybe don't use the pool if you stay at her house in phoenix. . Besides that, going back to the house being 86 DEGREES and her not caring or being apologetic at all. It was finally fixed 6:30 pm on Saturday, but it probably took until 8pm to cool from 86 degrees to 73. Not once were we rude to her. We could've been under these circumstances. Sorry your ego is fragile and you're unable to take constructive criticism. A woman of your age, I would expect a bit more professionalism and maturity. House is cute tho! Good job decorating! PS. We don't need your money. Your house with no ac just wasn't worth it. But thanks for the feedback. A budget in or hostel would've probably had better service and AC. This isn't "retaliation" for money. Just standing up for my friends and letting everyone know you're a pathological liar when we have every screen shot and video proof of everything.

We were on a combination anniversary and Morgan Wallen concert trip. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. As it was an anniversary trip, they were quick to acknowledge including an in room bottle of champagne, truffles and hand written note. We received our Bonvoy room upgrade to a beautiful suite with separate dining, living and bed rooms. Each well-appointed and current. The suite was a 1.5 bath that was a nice touch. Finally, a balcony had good seating area and views. Fair warning, they are building some free-standing casitas that will one day be part of the hotel. They look like residences and will be real nice when available. Anyway, some have complained about noise but we didn't notice. You just have to look past / over them for the real view. Didn't bother us. The free breakfast in the lobby is a must. Lots of options and everything we tried was great. The views from the patio are remarkable. The Canyon Suites also have their own private pool that is relaxing with great views, cabanas for rent and good food and beverage service. The cabanas were nice, accommodate up to six, have a mini fridge, tv and full bathroom with shower- fancy! My only complaint, which doesn't change my rating is there is a bar in the evening for just a few hours (til sunset?). No worries, head down the hill via walk (5 min), golf cart or car service to the main hotel for those activities. We will be back and wish we never left.
