My friend set an appointment time 1 day in advance for 2 of us wanting to have a full set of nails and an acrylic fill so we could enjoy the experience together. We walked in 10 minutes before our appointment time at 1 PM, said hello and that we had an appointment. We were not acknowledged by the 4 staff members within 5 feet of us. Figuring they were busy with their clients, we looked through the nail colors on swatches of fake nails, none of which were labeled with such helpful information as "Gel, regular nail polish, etc". Our first point of contact was when a female nail technician, very inappropriately yelled at me to sit down, to which her current client replied in my defense "Excuse me, maybe she prefers standing." I sat down at a nail station at 1:15 with my friend and asked when our appointments would begin. The nail technician replied, "In a minute." The three female nail technicians were working on other clients nails, which I understand can run a little over. A male nail technician was playing on his phone, ignoring us all. There was no music or sound other than the drills droning on. At about 1:40 (forty minutes after our set appointment time) my friend was helped, and we immediately became concerned when the nail technician cut her finger in the first two minutes. Blood was pouring out and she had to take a break to then super glue her cut skin together. She continued working on my friend, which I thought was Incredibly unsanitary! I became concerned that I wasn't going to be helped at all, and after seeing the unsanitary response to the nail technician's accident, I almost (and should have) left the building. My treatment was not started until 30 minutes after my friends (2:10 pm, an hour and 10 minutes after my appointment!). When my technician (a white, American, English-speaking woman) started on me, she didn't say hello, make eye contact or ask what services I wanted, for example, whether I wanted long or short nails, she did not tell me that the color I liked was a gel, which costs $15 more, etc. She grabbed my hand and aggressively went to work. She so easily could have communicated with me; instead, she worked aggressively with a poor attitude, which made the experience so awkward and unbearable. I just looked at my friend sitting next to me in disbelief. At one point, the nail technician working on my friend's acrylic fill just got up and walked away without saying anything and went to a back room to wax two women's eyebrows...she didn't say anything, she just got up mid-manicure and fucking waxed some eyebrows.....IS THIS REAL LIFE?!!!! My friend and I looked at each other like 'uhh..really?'. So finally we get up, so excited to be done with this terrible place, and the American nail technician tells me my charge is $50, to which I reply "No, I asked for a full set with regular nail polish, which is $35." She says "No, you had gel done." I told her "You never communicated that with me, nor was it written anywhere on the nail swatch. All I wanted was a regular polish." She said "Well, it's still $50. I can use a drill if you want me to take it off." WOW. I'd had enough. I finally said "You need to know that this is literally the worst experience in any customer service I have ever had. You didn't once communicate with me. You failed to do your job, and I will be leaving a review on Yelp and contacting the business owner. This is atrocious" I begrudgingly paid the $50, and did not leave a tip (which I have never done before). We left that shit hole feeling so demeaned and disrespected. Looking through these comments I now realize that experiences like this are the norm for Bella Nails. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time or money at this awful business. read more

Don't bother. Unimpressive and silly expensive. We were in the chairs for maybe 25 minutes total- listless massage, the guy dried my legs with a paper towel!! 10 seconds of a half hearted scrub on each foot, then dismissed and asked to pay $35? I would never recommend this place to anyone. A friend and I were looking for a place in town to get pedicures before we left for a wedding we were in. All we requested was that our toes looked nice, clean, and even. We didn't even want any polish because we were supposed to use a specific color once we got to the wedding. The pedicure itself was very underwhelming, we were in and out of there within 15 minutes and they weren't even that busy. At $30 bucks a pop, and not even getting any polish, you'd think they would at least do a decent job. After the 2 girls were finished, they just got up and walked away without saying anything and went to work on other people. My friend and I looked at each other like 'uhh.. are we done?'. My friends toes didn't even look like anything was done to them, the girl didn't clip them at all and barely shaped them. Her big toenail was noticeably almost 1/8 of an inch longer than her other big toe, and they just looked like nothing really had changed. We begrudgingly paid the $30 a piece, and even left a tip still! All of that put a bad taste in our mouth about Bella. The next day, one of my big toes was extremely infected because the pedicurist had cut at an angle waaaaay too deep on one of the sides of my big toe. It was extremely painful, puss-filled, and irritated. After babying that for about 5 days I was fine until about a week and a half after the pedicure my other big toe became extremely infected, even worse than the first one. Looking closely at it you can tell that indeed she clipped down too far on that one too and it was just starting to grow and become a problem. I've never had an ingrown toenail in my life and this sucks! I can't even wear a shoe/boot right now and that is a little hard to get away with in March in Bozeman... That was the final push I needed to write this review in hopes that it saves someone else from this pain and annoyance. read more

Uhhh...NO. I have my regular nail spot but came with a friend who booked us here, I should've declined. First off, the lady who did my pedicure was super rough and I said "ow!" more than a couple times (and I am not sensitive). Pedicure was chipped THE NEXT DAY and polish completely cracked off 2 nails within 5 days. Manicure, she cut my cuticle too much on 2 nails producing blood both times. Stopped in for pedicures on Saturday afternoon with a couple friends. They are great about handling walk ins since they have a large staff. Our pedicures took about an hour and were done pretty well, with the exception of some nails being cut too short. Overall, this place does a decent job and their prices are fine. I found it frustrating that everyone who works there understands and speaks very little, if any, English. They made my friend feel terrible for not leaving tip on her debit receipt (when she was leaving cash, but they hadn't realized it yet), and can understand $$, but not "no, don't do that" when they try to cut nails too short or roll pant legs? I have been a client of Bella for several years. Well, I will never ever go back, and neither should you. Pedicures for my young daughters, $45 EACH and it was sloppy and done poorly...came off after one day. Several times my mom took my kids in and ended up waiting and waiting a few times and then when they went to leave, they rushed and polished their nails in like 4 minutes and didn't do a good job. Most importantly, these people DO understand english and they play dumb. They also speak HORRIBLY about their clients in Vietnamese. ..horrible things about the people who are paying them wayy too much for subpar service. I got a classic manicure and they charged me $45 when it should have been $20 my mom got a regular fill and was charged $40 when it should have been $30. I was over charged by $35. You are sure to get in every time you attempt. So it's extremely convenient! However I've had both good and bad experiences. I have only had shellac manicure and pedicures. My pedicures typically last a substantial time without chipping however my manicures have only held up as short as one day and as long as a week without chipping/peeling. Worst manicure I have ever gotten. The kid who did it was barely of age and did a very sloppy job - leaving the gel polish on the sides of my nails so it hardened in place and not even polishing the nails evenly or completely. He kept pulling on my skin in a painful way and pulled at my cuticles like he'd never given a manicure before. Plus, the length of time the manicure took was absolutely ridiculous. Confused at the time, I answered no but now realize afterward that she was referring to how unbelievably slow the kid was at doing nails. I started going to this place when I moved to Bozeman from Hawaii 2 years ago, Because it reminded me of my nail place back home. The first two times I went were great! Mary was awesome. I don't get my nails done often, because my line of work, it just ruins them in one week. I go to get my nails done to feel good about myself, to uplift myself if I'm not feeling pretty. The last two times I have come here. The customer service is awful, yess I understand some Vietnamese being Asian and from Hawaii. They just talk shit the whole time. The last time, the guy made my hand bleed with the nail filer. This most recent time, She didn't soak my hands to soften cuticles, they literally just painted my nails, which I could do for free myself. 10 second hand massage on each hand after painting nails. I asked if she could do a design and she basically rolled her eyes and told me no, "it wouldn't look good" I ended up not getting one because she made me feel so bad about asking. The owner was right there also talking shit In Vietnamese. I wanted to cry, I went in feeling so good that my hands would look pretty and my toes too. The girl didn't even start doing my feet, she handed it off to another guy as if she was offended by me, (continued to talk badly about me in Vietnamese). I didn't even want to get my pedicure at that point, but did not want to cause a scene so I sat there embarrassed, (but why should I be embarrassed for asking for something I'm going to pay for?) I just wanted him to quickly finish my pedicure so I could leave and never go back. What I thought was supposed to be an uplifting, stress-free moment, after a stressful week of work, spending my hard earned money to make myself feel pretty. I ended up leaving feeling like shit and wanted to cry . I will never go back. I spent $95 and still tipped. I usually tip almost 50 percent, but they were so rude, did not care about their customers, and they all look like they hated what they were doing, as if they were forced to be there. I hope you know that the beauty business is supposed to be uplifting, and you could make someone's day or even week, by being happy, and accommodating. I went here to get my nails done for my wedding and I was pretty underwhelmed. I got acrylics for the first time so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was hard to communicate since they don't speak English, and I didn't know what to expect. She just started putting them on and didn't do anything with my terribly overgrown cuticles. They were pretty, if you could look past my cuticles. For $45, you would expect them to at least push them back. I also got a pedicure which again was not that great. I couldn't understand the woman doing it, and she seemed very rushed. When I got done, I still had dirty calluses on my heels. I think I may have just had a bad technician because it seemed like other people were getting good pedicures.
