I made an appointment online yesterday. I received a confirmation text from Viv later in the evening letting me know my appointment was accepted. I then got on Yelp and read some reviews. I nearly texted back and cancelled my appointment but I am SO glad I didn't. I got the Bella Signature Pedicure and a Deluxe manicure. It was one of the best pedicures I've ever had and the manicure design came out great. A group of 3 college age girls showed up 30 minutes late to their appointment while I was there. The woman in the front had let another woman get in for a walk in appointment about 10 minutes before that, stating that the other appointments were a no show so she could get them in. Another girl came in right before the group showed up and they got her in as well. When they were told they would have to wait because they were so late, the girls started complaining to each other about it loudly. I was shocked that their behavior. They had time to go get coffee and get done up to go to the nail salon, but couldn't show up on time and then complained that they had to wait? Self centered, snotty brats is all I could think. I'm sure that's where these negative reviews are coming from. Viv and crew, thank you so much for taking care of me today. This place is TERRIBLE. And extremely rude and unprofessional. I arrived to my appointment on time, that I made a few days ahead of time. I wanted a gel polish change on my nails. About 15 minutes into the service they made me get up and move to a different person. I guess someone else came in and wanted the person who was working on my nails? Never in my life have I been moved around like that especially when I had an appointment and was on time for it. I was shocked. The next person I was passed off to was so incredibly rude I still can't rationalize it. First, she criticized my nails. After she was almost done she was disgusted that my nails were my real nails and not fake tips and acrylics? How is your job to do nails and you can't even tell a REAL nail from a FAKE nail. I am constantly complimented on my nails, people are shocked they are real because they are so healthy and nice looking. She then said they are too long??? I'll post a picture and you can decide for yourself if they are too long. I told her what color I wanted. I said I wanted a bright red and gave her the number on the sample. When she brought it over and started painted my nails she looked at me disgusted and said "you said you wanted red, this is orange" and I said "no, this is red. I want a bright red, not a deep blue toned red. This is what I want". I never asked for her opinion. Clearly she did not like the color but that's not her job. I posted a picture, you can tell me if the color is red or orange. Guess she never learned if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. At the end, my nails were sticky. She didn't wipe them off so I said something and asked if they could be wiped down. This has happened to me before at this location so I always check now. She didn't believe me so she checked for herself and it pissed her off that I was right. At this point I had already decided I'm never coming back here. Finally, they charged me $50 for a gel polish change. No manicure, no design, no shaping, nothing. I am normally charged $25 to $30 for the same service anywhere else. My experience here wasn't great, it was average at best. My toenails came out looking really messy, to the point that I could have done a better job myself. I somewhat expected that because of the other three star reviews, but the location was convenient and I wanted to give it a try. I had an appointment at 2:45, I didn't get seated until 3:00, and my pedicure didn't start until 3:15. I was originally planning on doing both a pedicure and manicure, but ran out of time and had to leave without a manicure. I felt like my appointment was kind of pointless, I would have the same wait time if I had just walked in. The pedicure was very average. There wasn't a lot of cuticle cutting or shaping done on my nails. I asked her to reshape one nail in particular on my big toe, which she did, but it still came out pretty crooked and not like the nicely manicured look that I'd hope for from a pedicure. My toes are suuuuper tiny, so I know it's really difficult to get it then painted and even, but on the big toe especially I expect it to look neat, and it just didn't. She spent about 5 seconds filing my nails. The massage part was less than the bare minimum I've ever experienced. When she was done, she told me my nails were dry and to put my boots on, and rushed me out. When I got home they were completely smudged. I'm incredibly picky about shape, acrylic thickness, and polish uniformity and Vivian really takes her time with me and always kills it. I usually come in after work and am frequently the last client there, but I never feel rushed. I have never experienced the rudeness that other reviewers mention; I've had nothing but positive interactions with the employees. Just like other multi-chair salons, a significant amount of their customers are walk-ins, so there is occasionally a wait even if you have an appointment. Bring a book (or a beer). Did not clean out underneath my toenails at all and showed little to no interest in even being there giving me this pedicure. TERRIBLE customer service. I asked for a small white flower in the corner of my big toe and got a giant white/hot pink/lime green flower covering my entire toe. Not to mention all the polish was SLOPPY. I paid for the pedicure and drove straight to Le Nails and asked them to fix my toes. They ended up repainting all of my toes and gave me exactly what i asked for. She was so sweet and asked me so many questions about if they were exactly how I want them.
