Having grown up in Southern California with a fair completion, I am always looking for ways to…read morereduce the effects of overexposure to the sun. I have melasma (brown skin discoloration) and fine wrinkles on my face, neck, decollete and forearms. For years I went to a cosmetic laser clinic in La Jolla. I had multiple treatments using different lasers (and spent a small fortune!) yet never saw improvement in skin tone or elasticity. When I found Julianna at Rodeo Drive Cosmetic Centers in La Jolla everything changed. The results have been amazing! Plus, her prices are much lower than what I paid at the laser clinic. Julianna offers packages that include six treatments. This is the the best deal cost-wise. It takes time to reach the maximum effect from treatment, so you'll be doubly glad if you choose her package offers. For my skin, Julianna suggested micro-needling with PRP (platelet rich plasma). The melasma on my face, neck, decollete and forearms is close to disappearing. My skin is smoother, plumper and more elastic. Ladies, you know how judgmental we are about our own appearance? When I look at myself in the mirror now, I smile! I recently asked Julianna about treatment for age-related changes to my hair. She again recommended micro-needling with PRP. After two treatments, I have close to two inches of new growth and my hairline is filling in to what it was in my teens. Also, I am super sensitive to pain. When I went to the laser center I had to arrive an hour before my appointment to achieve maximum numbing and I was still in pain during treatment. Julianna has experimented with numbing agents and now makes her own numbing cream. Within 20 minutes my skin is numb and treatment is as close to painless as is humanly possible. During treatment, Julianna describes what she's doing and what's going to happen next which also increases my comfort level. For years I looked for face products that don't cause my skin to break out in hives. After discussing this with Julianna, she spent time researching and found multiple products to use on a daily basis that improve skin quality. She also found excellent sun protection products for me and special gloves to wear while driving. Julianna is always, always on time. At the La Jolla laser clinic, I frequently had to wait more than an hour past my appointment time. The Rodeo Drive Cosmetic Centers' waiting room is upscale and comfortable. When Julianna comes to get me and I see her beautiful smile I instantly feel happy and comfortable. She has a super sweet personality and is very down to earth. Julianna is highly knowledgeable, with years of experience, yet she always answers my questions with respect and kindness. It's clear Julianna cares about me and wants to see my skin improve as much as I do...possibly more! The best advertisement for the effectiveness of her services is Julianna herself. Guess her age in your mind (no adding years because you read this!) and then ask her how old she is. Surprise! Also ask to see her before-and-after photos. I saw pictures of a woman's progress for treatment of cellulite on her thighs. After five treatments, they look like she's in her twenties! Once you've achieved your goal, you'll see Julianna a couple times a year for maintenance. You'll be happy continued maintenance is part of the program because it's so fun to talk with Julianna and learn about new treatments and products to help your skin continue to improve.

Okay I have a heart, she said she would text me next week to reschedule. No answer. So I follow up with the office (mind you there is 2 locations) and my call is forwarded to voicemail from the esthetician. That afternoon I get a text saying there is no availability that week, and she will text next week. REALLY?!? I can't even get through to the office because every time I call they forward my call. So I have actually only have spoke to a live person once. And that wasn't even the esthetician. What kind of business is this!! The sad part is, I use groupon to find a business I like and then continue going. Especially when it comes to keeping up with yourself. I will cancel my groupon and go to a business that knows what they are doing.

I found her on instagram, and am so happy I did. My facial was amazing. She took the time to discuss the issues I had with my face, and what type of service I was looking for. From the very beginning I felt comfortable. Her studio is nice, smelled amazing, and was comfortable. She explained every step and product she was using. My skin felt absolutely amazing. I got compliments days following my appointment, and can still tell a difference in my skin 3 weeks later. She gave me a gift bag with some product and a sample of the moisturizer she used during my appointment. My skin is still glowing, which was not a normal thing for me. My eyebrows--WOW!! I have thought about getting my eyebrows microbladed for years. After seeing her many uploads on Instagram, I decided to book an appointment. I'm so happy I did. Again at this appointment, she took the time to discuss what I wanted done. We went through different shape templates. I showed her pictures of how I usually wear my eyebrows from day to day. She took her time, and although I couldn't see what she was doing I could feel she was making sure the outline/measurements were perfect. She would check in with me to see if I like the shape and size, etc. The next step was the color, I believed in her expertise in this area and she got the color just right. Then onto the actual microblading, Cayla made sure I was always comfortable with the pain level. I appreciated that, as I had very minimal pain but expected some as I am getting a tattoo on my face. I was amazed by the detail and time she took to make sure everything was perfect. My eyebrows are PERFECT! They blew my expectations away. She gave me an aftercare sheet along with a washing solution and crème. The healing phase was very easy and her information and product was great. I tend to stare at my eyebrows now because I'm so in love with them. I will post some pictures here. Thank you Cayla!
