Connie, who also happens to be the seamstress, was my consultant that day. She asked to see my inspiration photos and proceeded to pull dresses she thought might suit me from the racks. The overall vibe of the store, dress selections and fantastic customer service were quite impressive. It also smells HEAVENLY inside. It's obvious that they pride themselves on keeping it immaculate. Yesterday, I said yes to a dress I tried on at my first appointment. The owner John was so accommodating and squeezed me in with just one day's notice when I requested to come in and re-try my favorite dress. When I arrived, he greeted me with a big smile. Both John and Connie are the sweetest and most patient individuals I've ever met. I highly recommend Ashley's to any brides, bridesmaids, moms and even men! However, the experience quickly went downhill. After browsing and not finding anything I liked, the salesperson insisted I try on five dresses she selected. None of them suited my style. I mentioned to my friend that I preferred a dress I'd seen at another store, and the salesperson overheard and asked to see a photo of it. After looking at the photo, she told me she could order the same dress for me. Since I was already there, I agreed. She took my measurements, and when I told her the specific color combination I wanted, she dismissed my choice and insisted on a different color, saying she knew what she was doing. I disagreed, but she assured me everything would be fine and the color combination she was ordering was the one I tried on the other s About a month later, while showing pictures to my sister-in-law, I found a photo of the dress tag and zoomed in--turns out, I was right. The color ordered was not what I had requested. I immediately emailed the salesperson, explaining the mistake and asking her to correct it, especially since the dress wouldn't be delivered for several more months. Then COVID hit. By the time the dress arrived and I went in to pick it up, it was still the wrong color. I told the salesperson, and she brought the owner into the dressing room. The owner assured me they would have the lining replaced by their seamstress to match the correct color. A couple of months later, I went back--but the dress was still wrong. I pointed it out again, and this time the store manager got involved. She insisted it was the correct color until I showed her a photo of what I had originally ordered. Only then did she admit it was wrong and promised to send it back to the designer. When I returned again, the dress had still not been corrected. I almost took it home out of sheer exhaustion--but decided to speak up again. The manager said she'd try one last time, but warned me the dress had been discontinued. At that point, I was devastated. I emailed and asked for a refund, as they had clearly failed to deliver what I paid for. Instead of apologizing, I received a rude email stating that I would now be charged $25 per week for storing the dress and should come pick it up. I responded that the dress wasn't being stored--it was still there because they never got it right. She then offered to ship it to me, but given their track record, I didn't trust them. Eventually, she scheduled a pickup, treating it like they were extremely busy--though the store was empty every single time I went in. After nearly three years, Le Bella Donna was unable to provide the dress I ordered in the color I asked for. I'm now stuck with a dress I never wanted. Thankfully, my wedding was postponed due to COVID, so I now have time to find a dress I actually love from a store that values its customers. Don't be fooled by the store's appearance. Once they have your money, customer service is gone. The staff is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

But in my chaos and disorder, I had to get it together and find a respectable suit that would capture both my grief and show the utmost respect to this amazing lady who was the cornerstone of my life and my biggest champion. I called them on a Monday, was quoted a price of an even $100.00, and then I came in on Tuesday for a fitting. Thursday my suit was ready and it fit perfect. I am a big guy and I intentionally avoid suits and formal wear because most are not forgiving when it comes to us big guys and movement and flexibility. But these pants slipped on and moved when I moved and I had zero restriction in the thighs whatsoever. The jacket was super comfortable and it gave in to my movements. The suit was pressed and looking perfect on my scheduled pick up . I received so many compliments on how good I looked but I was not focused on that. I took great pride in being able to deliver words of reflection because I felt good and I know that I was honoring my dearest friend. Princeton tuxedo by contrast was an Immaculate shop, Great selection, Attentive service and a fair price/value. Daniel fitted me and he was excellent. Daniel was efficient in ensuring my size and measurements were accurate, and provided guidance for accessories as I haven't worn a Tux in years. PIcked up a few days prior to my function to assure fit and all was good to go! Tuxedo and shoes looked like there were brand new! Great quality. Looked sharp! I was looking for a sweet, romantic A-line dress. Our consultant, Jennifer, was very nice and knowledgeable. My sister, mom, and I were able to look at the dresses on the rack and pick out which ones I wanted to try on. The store was so clean, bright, and well organized. The dressing rooms were very spacious, as well. After I put on each dress, Jennifer would ask me how I felt in the dress before going out to show my family. She really made the appointment about me and I am so appreciative of that. I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. I was so happy and confident in the dress and finally felt like I had found what I was looking for! They had a fresh bouquet delivered during my appointment which was the perfect addition to the dress trying on experience. Krystyne interviewed my daughter about her wedding and dress preferences and pulled some dresses aside for her to try. As it turned out-she chose the first dress she tried on! Perfect! I also found my dress there too. There was time left over during one of the fittings and Krystyne graciously asked if I wanted to try anything on. My intent was really to try on dresses to see what styles looked good. Low and behold I found a perfect dress from L&H Couture! Beautifully beaded and mermaid style elegance! Working with L & H was my pleasure. I was kind of sad to say "goodbye" as we had the final fitting in November. Everything at L & H is expertly executed from our first email to the initial shopping experience, fittings, appointments & alterations. I haven't had a dress made, however, I am one of many that have yet to have any outfit, sale or otherwise, that wasn't cool and what I paid for. Good open price points too for all of us. She carries a number of different lines, including Lilla P which I love. It holds up so well year after year and the classic style is what goes on and on.. Her unique pieces are always well put together too and I think the best compliment a woman gets is "where did you get that? I want one." I'd give her 5 stars in a heart beat.
