I needed a tux, last minute, and called them up. They told me to come on in and they would try to get me out as soon as possible. Had an unfortunate interaction with the owner. A salesperson originally said I can return for free alterations if size changes. This was said multiple times by the salesperson and as it turns out that this is not the case at all. Instead of an apology, a very accusatory tone by the owner harping on the sale being 2 years ago. It was actually less than 2 years ago because I also rented a tux at the same time for a memorable event. The owner felt alterations would not be desirable due to the size differential. I respect that and want to look my best so bought a replacement. However, it still doesn't change the fact that I was made to feel as if I concocted a scheme. In summary, they have fine clothing but need lessons on how to train their help and how to better treat customers. I needed to rent a suit after mine mysteriously shrunk after COVID. Ventresca handled things perfectly- nice selection of high end suits, tailor- fitted and ready for easy pick up/ drop-off for a reasonable price. I opted for a sleek charcoal, 3piece with suspenders, pressed white shirt and contemporary black shoe rental- everything currently en vogue and sharp. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional, tailoring a suit to me instead of stuffing me into something. In fact, they made sure to have my rental ready early to accommodate the Labor Day holiday and ensure a stress-free experience that accommodated my travel plans which shows that they care about their customers. Frank says he has 42 years of providing quality service. Well, maybe he used to provide service but now he's lost his mind. He will for sure respond to this and say it's rude or we are wrong etc. but he will be lying to you just like he lied to us today. We have been loyal customers and have always respected him and today he showed us incredible disrespect. We were left speechless. We are reasonable, mature and easily satisfied people who have spent and intended to spend thousands of dollars with his store. But....today he lacked integrity, service and he left his pride at home because no customer should have been treated like we were treated. We had a tuxedo made for our son for his wedding and unfortunately, the tuxedo jacket split at the back seam the minute our son put it on. It was quite embarrassing for us considering he was going to be walking up the aisle in just a few minutes. After the wedding we took the tuxedo back to the store and explained the situation. We were not complaining, we were simply letting him know what happened. Frank took the jacket and tried to correct the issue and he even had the tuxedo pressed and cleaned for us. We were very pleased. But to our surprise, when we went to pick up the tuxedo, he basically told us that we were no longer welcome in his store and he no longer wanted to do business with us. We were blown away!!! We literally only went there to pick up the repaired tux. We asked him why, and what happened? And he told us that he can't make us happy. We have no idea where this came from or why he would say it. It was almost as if because he had to fix his defect, he was embarrassed or something? He no longer wanted to do business with us for something so minor? Completely insane. The disrespect was incredible. Can't believe what he did to us. The end result is that he made a mistake, he was embarrassed, he had to spend money to fix it and that bothered Frank. And we took the brunt of it. Too bad & sad.... maybe it's time to retire Frank. read more

Took my daughter... yes, I said that correctly, my daughter there today to get fitted for a tux.. and yes, I said tux .. for her prom in hopes their professionalism wouldn't judge as of what we were after, which was a true to size, good fitting being that she is a female and most of the clientele they cater to are young men & men, they treated her with respect, kindness and an overwhelming respect. I must say they all were quite kind & accommodating & made it super easy as we were in & out quickly with no questions unanswered! I would not recommend for prom tuxedos. They advertise a $49 coupon and then when you pay they tell you the "coupon" is already built into the price. How is that a coupon? I bought a new suit, shirt, tie and shoes for my sons wedding and spent over $1200. Jennifer was fantastic and very accommodating. When I went to pick it up today Jennifer was not there and a younger woman Erin helped me try everything on. There was an issue with the length of the shirt sleeves they altered and Frank stepped in. He was immediately combative and argumentative and seemed incredibly frustrated that I wasn't happy about the shirt length. He offered and I accepted an off the shelf shirt which fit fine. However he continued to be curt and insulted my wife who was standing there trying to make sure everything fit right. We left pissed off that we were treated this way especially after spending that amount of money (and sending my brother over who also spent $1000). I know Frank has 40 years experience in tailoring but he needs to learn how to treat customers and mange his tone and temper (even with his employees). Frank, you owe us an apology. We called last minute because the groom in our wedding party needed a bow tie for the same day. They were so accommodating over the phone, Lisa didn't hesitate and knew exactly what we needed. The bow tie was ready and waiting behind the register when we got there and everyone there was ready and willing to help us. What tailor makes you pay for alterations up front??? Went all the way through the marking of my suit, tells me what the total is going to be (which is more than most places), I say OK, and then he asks for payment right then and there?! The tailor's I have always gone to, you pay for alterations when you pick it up. But then again this is a store, in a town, that oozes haughty attitude. I even told them they could take my card information and run the cost when I got paid in a few days. Nope, not good enough! Avoid, go somewhere with less attitude and where you pay for services once they're rendered, not before. read more

Obnoxiously expensive, very trendy (OK, they do offer SOME classic styles) clothing suited for the mulit-million dollar athlethes who want to always look the part, not the typical guy from the burbs. Some of their stuff borders on the "gangsta" look if you ask me! I can't imagine their typical client is coming from Doylestown or the surrounding areas. Pinky-ringed, overly cologned salespeople, who clearly don't wear the clothes they sell (and likely couldn't afford the clothing, even if they wanted to!) who practically sit on top of you as you browse looking for something.....anything....that you might like or want to spend the money on. Guess they have issues with theft or whatever, but it makes for a very uncomfortable shopping experience. My husband did purchase a few items which were on sale (and still expensive!) and took advtange of their in-house tailoring, which I will say is excellent (but you pay for it!). Seriously, I think Sartoria in Buckingham is a much better alternative, with excellent quality, style, service, prices, etc. And, my man doesn't look or feel like a "gangsta" when he leaves! read more

This place is alright, I went there for a tux rental and it's pretty pricey. I used to go to "For Males Tuxedos" in fountainville but they closed down and the building where they were located no longer stands so I was forced to go here. When I walked in I could tell I was being judged, but I was still given a "hello, how can I help you?" from a sales person. I told her about my event and she brought me over to the rental area which is surprisingly limited. I would have thought they would had more of a selection (my old store sure did, and it was half the size of this store) by the look and layout of the store. The lady was definitely not from the area and was a little stand offish at first, but warmed up as we talked. She was helpful but I felt like I would have been better off with somebody more knowledgeable about their clothing, matching things together and offering suggestions since she didn't seem to have much to say, and moreso gave me the "yes" treatment to my suggestions. She didn't offer much herself and didn't have good suggestions when she did attempt to put items together. Again the rental here is pricey just for a weekend, my old place would have charged me just $100 for a rental but they wanted to do $160 for the rental. Luckily the store is aware of the event I'm going to and offers discounts to people going to it, but it was still about $130 which is a lot in my experience. I wish my old rental place was still around but as long as I live in the area I suppose I'll have to use this place since it's now one of the only places that offers tux rentals, unless I'd go to a major outlet which I would prefer not to. read more

This was my first experience with Ventresca's and will be a lifetime customer moving forward. I bought a custom suit for my wedding and it came out perfect! My wife was jealous prior to our wedding of the service I received. I tried my suit on 3-4 times and made 3-4 alterations and Frank had no problem at all with any of them. He is a perfectionist and exactly what you want when your are getting a suit made. There is a reason he's been in business for this long- he is the best at what he does. If I could provide a .5 rating I would. I had two custom suits that I purchased from an Asian clothier that required some minor modifications - nothing too complicated. I thought that if I brought them to Ventrescas, their "expert" tailors would make them perfect. First of all I was greeted by Frank Ventresca proceeded to criticize the quality of the suits I had purchased by stating they were inferior. I was not really interested in his opinion. I just wanted to get them altered and fixed. So after listening to him continue to criticize the clothing I left them with him and was told to come back in two weeks to pick them up. I returned after two weeks and tried on the clothing. They still did not get it correct. Again Mr. Ventresca cited the poor quality of clothing but committed to fixing it. Was told to come back in 3 days. After three days I went back only to find out that they had done nothing and was told to return the following day. Never received a call advising of the delay. The following day I returned and the one suit jacket was botched even worse. They committed to fix it and even deliver it to my house which they did. Upon receiving it, the jacket was still not right. So the delivery person told me that they would take it back and they would be happy to make any changes to make it right. So about five minutes after they left, my doorbell rang and it was the Ventresca delivery person. They handed me my jacket and said that Mr. Ventresca would be calling me. Right then Mr. Ventresca called me and indicated that they could do no more. He proceeded to once again tell me that my suits were inferior and that there was nothing more he could do. He also told me that he was going to return the $200 I paid to get the suits altered and then abruptly hung up. Feeling that I was not treated correctly I called him right back and questioned his rude and abrupt hang up. He was very impolite again and told me " I don't know what your problem is, I'm giving you your money back and you're keeping your suits" and once again hung up. One month has passed, I took the clothing to another tailor and they look perfect now, and I still have not received my $200. Bottom line I will never set foot inside that store and have lost total respect for Frank Ventresca. The store does carry nice clothing but they are not the only game in town. I brought Dad here for a suit rental for a funeral. They took care of him quickly and professionally. They had stock in his larger size and was able to fulfill the rental in a couple of days which is what we needed. They went above and beyond with making sure everything fit perfectly even though my father didn't remember asking for a specific hem on the pants and changed his mind when we went to pick up. I would like to warn everyone about their misleading pricing. We recently rented a tuxedo for a prom. Over the phone we were quoted tuxedo prices ranged from $99 to $230 and advised that there was a $45 coupon on their website. We picked out a tuxedo with a price tag of $199. Using the coupon I believed the rental would be $154. No, I was told the $199 included the $45 coupon. If the $199 price included the $45 coupon, then the original cost of the rental would be $244, more than the range I was quoted and more than other local renters. read more

Everytime I have gone to this store I have been treated like I'm Clark's cousin Eddie in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. One time, after I unfolded a shirt to look at the print in full, the store attendent asked me what size I needed ( I was buying it for my fiance) before I "go unfolding all of his shirts." When I told him the measurements, he looked at me like I told him I was looking for a sequined clown suit in a size 52 and said "Good luck ever finding a shirt anywhere with those stats," with a laugh. 1. This is Doylestown, Pretty Woman, not Rodeo Drive, get over yourself. Your store is across from a pizza place and next to a soccer store. 2. I've managed to find clothes in those "stats" for my fiance for the past 4 years. If you are a local celebrity looking to drop money on an outfit from 2001, by all means, go to Ventresca's. read more

My friends and I had the great pleasure of visiting Ventresca's when in town for a friend's wedding. 30 minutes before taking pictures with the bride, the zipper of one of the bridesmaid dresses broke leaving the entire back of the dress open. The hotel and wedding planner were far from helpful so we took it to yelp and found Ventresca's down the street from us. We made the trip down to the clothing store in a complete panic only to be greeted by professionalism and reassurance that everything would be fine. They quickly brought out their elite Italian tailor who had the situation quickly under control. The dress was fixed within 20 minutes and we were back in time for the bride's photos. While I'm constantly using yelp to choose restaurants and stores to visit, I never write reviews but as a result of this incredible and unique situation, I writing my first review for them. Not only did they save the day by fixing the dress in a timely manner, they didn't charge us for their time and support. The owner came out to make sure we were ok and everyone in the store was incredibly nice and friendly as we tried to figure out a desperate situation very quickly. I'm not sure what we would have done if it wasn't for Ventresca's. Thank you again for your friendliness, generosity and expertise when we needed it the most. We went in looking for a gray tux for a wedding, there were only 3 options and even though the tux was huge in my fiancee's arm they told us it's a rental and they wouldn't alter that for him. We had better luck at the next store we went to but I wished we hadn't wasted our time here--they don't seem interested in accommodating tux rental customers at all. read more

My recent attempt to buy a suit from Ventresca was very disappointing. They have limited stock in-store and only have an interest in selling their Studio Milan store brand or their custom made to measure suits. The store brand uses cheap fabrics and is not very modern or flattering. The made to measure is, I'm sure, a great option if you're ready to drop $2000+ for your next suit. For anyone below that range there are better midrange choices at Men's Wearhouse (plenty of selection including Varvatos and Hart Schaffner Marx) and much better mid to high end off the rack choices at Boyd's. Unless you're buying a high end custom suit don't bother with Ventresca. read more

We recently went through Ventresca's to rent tuxedos for my wedding in Warrington, PA. They were extremely professional and extremely easy to work with. Their entire staff was friendly and accommodating as I picked out the tuxedos with our first visit to the showroom. Two of the groomsmen were unable to make the fitting that we had a couple weeks later. That was no problem as we were able to send in their measurements and Ventrescas handled the rest. We were able to pick up the tuxedos the Thursday before the wedding but we elected to pick them up Friday afternoon. They were extremely accommodating with that request as well. They had 11 guys try on tuxedos, ensured they fit and packed them back up for us all within the hour. The helpful and knowledgeable staff is what made this process so smooth and the quality of the tuxes and suits helped us look great for the big day. I would go back to Ventresca's again and again and I would recommend them to anyone in need of a tuxedo rental or custom made suit. read more

Avoid this place. Seriously. Take this to heart. Dont trust this place for your clothing. I could write a book about what went wrong. Besides the price being super inflated, we were lied to about tbe price. When we went to pick up the clothing we were told 100 more than quoted. Its the day before a wedding. They had us by the... So we couldnr walk away. There is a woman working there. Shes very rude and sarcastic. Comes off friendly but says condescending things that you arent sure if she is serious or if you heared correctly. I got in a huge fight with her which resulted inme storming out and not trying on the clothes. Speaking of clothes. Whoever took the measurments must have been drunk. Im a 34 waist. They gave me 37. I was litteraly holding my pants up all night. On top of that a plastic peice used to tighten them broke. I wear a medium shirt and one in a while large. I was given an xl. I had too go purchase another shirt at a store near the wedding. I wasnt alone, everyone in party including the groom had issues. I have pics of the camera crew trying to fix the grooms clothes. When i brought it back they argued with eachother about who took the measurements. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one wasnt there. I made them call one who said i would receive a refund and that they had my card on file. Never received anything. You can rent an overpriced tux anywhere but you want it to fit. Dont trust them for momnets that will be seen for the rest of your life and the pics will be shared by 100 people. read more
