Avoid Bell if you live in a condo or apartment. Their technicians are either poorly trained, lazy, or both. When setting up a new customer, instead of properly running a new line, they often take a shortcut by unplugging an existing customer. This has happened to me repeatedly--about every six months. I'll be working, and suddenly my internet cuts out. Sure enough, I look downstairs, and there's a Bell truck. When I call to report the issue, they acknowledge the problem but claim they can't contact the technician on-site. Instead, I'm told I'll have to wait two days for an appointment to fix their mistake. This level of service is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. From 2002 to 2012, I had 2 cell phone plans, a land line, Internet, Satellite TV plans from Bell. My ombined plan was almost $700 per month. Bell's ridiculously hotrible customer service made me drop all their services and kept only the land line and internet from 2012 to 2016. 2016 onwards I kept only Bell internet service. The Internet service is great, data speed is excelent, however the plan is way too pricey, their customer service is quite arrogant, hardly follows or adheres to instructions, Bell shared my phone number despite hving paid them to unlist and not to share with mass phine number sharing with marketing hawks. Its time to drop my internet service too from Bell. After 2 years of good internet at home, the wifi connection started to be very unstable. Called for 2 months trying to get a technician to come to my hone and assess the issue. Bell said they didn't see anything wrong from their side and they cannot send anyone to my home. They sent 2 new modems that I had to install myself and this did not solve the problem. I have such a worst experience with bell. I wanted to move my bell connection to my new house. There was an issue with bell cable out of my house for which they are going to take 25days to fix it. Few of the bell employees told me they are arranging temporary internet for me meanwhile for which I have been calling them from last 6days daily To find out yday there is no temporary internet and I have to wait for almost a month without internet for them to fix the issue. I had been with Bell for 8 years. I honestly wish I could rate them 0 out of 5. During this time, I experienced intermittent technical issues at my four different apartments. In running a speed test, the website would tell me my speed was 30mb/s when I was paying for a 50mb/s plan, and often slower or would not work at all. To save money on sending a technician to my house, Bell would often send me a new modem telling me that was the problem -- which wouldn't fix anything, and would require me to drive to a post office to return my old modem. This probably happened 5-6 times. When they would finally send a technician (4-5 times besides initially installation), there was great inconsistency. Once or twice a technician came who seemed capable and would fix the internet for a while (before something else would go wrong) and the other majority of the time, they would send somebody who honestly seemed less technically proficient than I am (and I'm no tech whiz). The phone agents would blatantly lie and tell ridiculous excuses such as: the guaranteed / advertised internet speed is for internet connected by a cable, but that there would be some loss on wifi, or they would try to blame my devices. Both of those were infuriating given my phone and computer have been well maintained, and worked everywhere else -- and let's be real, they're a wifi provider. Literally everyone uses the internet on wifi so if they were claiming only 60% of the advertised speed was "normal" on wifi, and that most people plugged their devices in for internet... they just sound ridiculous. Aside from this, they had the habit of frequently increasing the price of my bill without telling me. They did this by offering various average promotions, and then once those ended, jacking the price up to something way higher than literally anyone else charges. After spending honestly probably over 30 hours on the phone / with technicians over my time with BelI, I finally leftt. My new internet provider (Videotron) installed a new modem in my apartment, and to no surprise, the wifi test results are exactly what they advertise. Not only that, but they are giving me LITERALLY 12 times the speed for less money. My biggest regret is not leaving Bell sooner, and I can safely say I will never subscribe for any of their services again. read more

Another reason I will never ever allow Bell on my property. Have their Fibe wires sticking a couple of feet above the ground at the end of the driveway. First told 3-6 months to bury them. Then I said they were a tripping hazard, that they would be cut by my snow blower guy. Had a repair ticket for today between 8-5 pm. Called this morning at 7 am to confirm they were coming cause they have left me waiting all day in the past and not shown up. Only to discover the ticket had been deactivated. The staff person reactivated it. Called at 11 am to make sure they were coming. We live on the outskirts of a town, where the town gets fibre internet, but we don't. Bell is charging us $75/month for 5 megabits per second. That translates to around 750 kilobytes per second, unlimited data. You can get 10x the speed for a lower price in town, but they don't want to because they're making a killing off of us. If I could give 0 stars I would. We decided to switch from bell to videotron because of a great promo deal offered to us by a rep on the phone. Promo deal: 2 boxes (1 for each tv) cable+internet + 10 channels of our choice for 89$+TX. Installation day comes tech shows up with 1 box and says that if we want another box it's an extra 8$ a month. Called customer service, they would not honor the contract. The girl on the phone said what we got as a deal was way too much and that there was nothing she could do. Long story short. When we go to pick out 10 channels it says there's an extra cost. We called customer service again. (6times in total that day) Asking them what is going on? They then say that on the contract on their end there are no extra channels in our contract even though we have the proof in email and that they were not going to honor the original deal and that if we wanted the 10 channels we would have to pay 115$ instead of the original deal of 89$. All in all 0 stars. Do not recommend, they lied about the contract, we spoke to 6 different reps and decided to cancel after 6 hours. We will never ever choose bell. read more

We had Bell wireless internet in our house. For 2 years, horrible. Not reliable and would need to be reset daily. Had 3 modems sent to us and same issue. Eventually left for Roger's and night and day difference. Never a problem. Bell came back and offered new wireless fiber optics in our are, great discount and price. 3 days and it failed again. Talking to representative and 9 pm, 30 minutes later advised that modem will need to be replaced. I work from home and cannot miss 3 shifts. Representative Jen advised they can give a $15 credit. Then after the new modem is in I can speak to retention to see if they will offer any compensation for missed days. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told no. It's okay though. I was very dissatisfied with Bell's service. To provide the service I request, new cable need to be laid. The initial installation was very poorly done, and resulted in cable laid across a shared walkway and through a neighbor's garden. Despite multiple phone calls and visits from technicians (who often on two occasions did not show up despite scheduled appointments), a month later, a resolution was still not found. The provision of internet itself was not problematic, and several of the individual Bell employees were understanding and helpful. However, the access was (the cable got cut by my neighbor and I was left without internet). The vast majority of individuals were either unhelpful, unskilled or, in one case, directly obstructive. Bell is known to have poor customer service but the very structure of the company is designed this way. When you're assigned a "ticket", you have no single individual or number you can call back to discuss the same issue. As a result, you end up speaking to a new individual each time, who is not familiar with the problem, is often not able to provide the assistance rendered, and who will try every tactic to avoid passing the client along to a supervisor or manager. As a result, for a single issue, I dealt with over 20 different employees and technicians, each of whom was unaware of issues/steps taken to date. Had Bell assigned a case manager to my issue, or provided any continuity of customer service, many problems could likely have been avoided. However, it appears to be their policy to bank on clients retaining their services, purely based on a lack of alternative options, rather than the delivery of proper service. I cancelled my Bell service and am now a happy and satisfied customer of Oxio, a Rogers subsidiary. Oxio provided excellent customer service, were easily reachable and accomodating, and provided the same service & quality of internet at half the price Bell charges. The technician came on time (within a two hour window) and the set-up took less than 30 mins from start to finish. I really appreciated Oxio's genuine interest in meeting client's needs, and efficient, effective service. read more

Hear this. we have the rural bell home internet. The internet takes a turn for the worse on Saturday morning. the little black box beside the modem starts ticking. We lose complete internet connection. We call Bell customer service / repair. After being transferred 3 times we finally get the right person on line. (called fibe - answered by motility - transferred back to fibe then the rural whole home.... get what I'm saying!!!) we explain our situation and they schedule a repair. The agent comes back and says oh not till Monday. Well apparently for the next three weeks Bell doesn't work on Saturdays. I lose my mind. How can a company like Bell not offer customer support / repair on faulty product they supply on a Saturday. Their explanation was hilarious. " well we don't have any technicians until Dec 1st, with Black Friday and all. The irony is, we own a small online business that requires internet connection. Anything today is cloud based so how are we to connect to the internet. Streaming video or TV is non existent for the next 2 1/2 days. What a joke Bell is. Switched from Rogers to Bell for three weeks, subscribed Fibe TV/Internet/Phone with fibre in the home. Disappointed, 4K TV Box had an issue TV wouldn't find any programs when 4K TV box powered up, it worked only after disconnecting HDMI cable between 4K TV box and Samsung TV and reconnecting every time. Bell gave me another TV Box, fixed the problem. After three weeks, I found internet speed was extremely slow sometimes, and the speed went up and down. Talked to tech support level 3, the guy separated wifi 5G from 2.4G(by default 2.4G/5G will automatically switch between the two depending on signal strength and range), after that I found 2.4G was the source of the problem, while 5G was working properly. Regret I did the service switch from Rogers to Bell, I had phone conversations with Bell support many times, most of the time, they just told me BS trying to kick me away, one of the tech support from Bell couldn't figure out the problem, hanged up on me, bad services. read more
