I knew about Bell Alliance before working with Bell Alliance. My previous company did a lots of real estate transactions and one of the events that we hosted was with the Asian Realty Association and other realtors and lawyers like Caldwell Banker, Remax, Bell Alliance and etc. At my current work, I was involved in selling a Multifamily real estate. We were working with a realtor and I asked the realtor if there was a lawyer that they preferred working with. He referred me to Lisa Niro. She is a wonderful lady. The price she charges was very reasonable. I was surprised that she was not that expensive when compared to another lawyer (who now is retired) we used to use. Lisa is a very patient woman, she explained everything very clearly. When we went into the meeting, she had all documents prepared and ready. She is very organized. Due to Covid, 80% of the staff at Bell Alliance are working from home. Most of the lawyers are still working in the office. Also what I liked about Lisa is the quick turnaround time. We gave her 2 weeks to finalize all paperwork. At first, I was a bit skeptical if that was enough time. In the past with the other lawyers that I have worked with, I would allow for close to a month. I was surprised everything was done properly. We were happy. We will be working with Lisa again in the future and I highly recommend working with her. read more

Unless you like having to do work 2 or 3 times over, I would strongly recommend NOT using Bell Alliance. The lawyer I was who assigned to me was often late to appointments and re-scheduling meetings. When my legal papers were finally completed and signed, Bell Alliance called me back to re-sign paper work due to an error they had made on the original signing. On top of everything, I get a notice from the government a year later, that the property tax Bell Alliance had calculated and collected was incorrect and now I have to pay an additional amount. If you want things done right the first time, don't use Bell Alliance. read more

Not attentive at all. Ben Hagen either takes on more than he can manage or is indifferent to specific real estate needs. It's best to pitch him something slow and easy to hit. I needed a quick turn around to purchase a half duplex in Surrey with co-owners, sent emails, and spoke directly with Ben. This firm assisted me with my private real estate sale. Was handed off to three different lawyers during the process (they all had holidays booked one after the other) and had to explain the transaction over again every single time. Sign off on closing date and presented with my bill and think all is done. Then, wihtin a month, they send me another another bill for $700+ as they forgot to bill me for the time of one of the 3 lawyers that dealt with my transaction. Tell the paralegal doing the conveyancing to utilize the $700 they have on hold back to pay the bill and then I'll pay the difference. She agrees. Then recieve another email that they accidentally paid me out $416 of the $700 that was on hold back and I am to call their office to pay the difference. And of final note, you won't be paying for your bill(s) with your Amex as unlike every other law firm I have ever dealt with ... they don't accept Amex. read more

I'd like to highly recommend Bell Alliance, specifically Khusshal Bains (lawyer) and Trevor Tidder (conveyancer) for helping us out resolve a sticky mortgage situation. We had previously engaged another Large Real Estate Law Firm (LRELF) , whom we had done business with for two other real estate transactions, to help us with closing and execution of a mortgage. Long story short - this other LRELF sat on our mortgage documents for over 2 months, tried to get things done barely a week before closing, discovered there was a hitch which caused the Bank to nearly back out of the mortgage, then the LRELF declined to sign off on the mortgage with barely 3 days to go! Enter Bell Alliance - in less than 72 hours, Khusshal and Trevor managed to get the documents from the bank, organize everything, and get it to us for signing. Throughout it all, Trevor maintained constant communications with us, helpfully answering questions and making sure we were on track, unlike the LRELF whom I had to constantly prod for updates; this was all the more galling as we had been previous customers of the LRELF for 2 other real estate transactions!
