I am so surprised that no one has reviewed this discounted mecca prior to me! This place is simply…read moreamazing. It is basically like "Marshalls" on a smaller scale, and not as prissy. You know- they get shipments of stuff that other stores gave up on, and they sell the stuff at discounted prices. I believe that the trucks come on Mondays, and everything is on the floor by Wednesday. The peeps who work there are friendly and very helpful. They have a seniors' program and also a program for "Fridayers"...if you shop on Friday, you get a discount. Plus, you also rack up points and I now have a $5.00 off coupon, which equals joy. They do have a bathroom that is wheelchair accessible. Here are some of my best finds: -"New Balance" sneaks at just a bit over $20.00 -"Harajuku MinI" from Target -"Waverly" queen quilt for just $20.00 -Fancy, sequined "Old Navy" shirt for $6.00 -"Playmobil" figs for $1.99 each -"Blythe" doll address book for $2.00 (still there) -"1928" earrings for like $1.63 -"Yankee Candles" -"Dockers" in distinguished shades Just a heads-up: Examine items for defects. Clothes with defects is not such a biggie, but a wooden spoon that is crappy is a biggie to me. "Burke's" does accept returns, even if you opened/released the item. (That wooden spoon is history.) However, deeply discounted items (70% to 95%), cannot be returned. Heads up: the manager is slightly tough. She is probably fed up with irrational people. However, if you see broken glass on the floor, tell her. I told other employees three times, but I never witnessed anyone say "So-and-so, go sweep that up", or witnessed anyone sweep it up. I am big on avoiding danger, as I have seen many strange things in my lifetime. Go, and mention me so I can get more discounts.

My Neice paid…read morefor a $10.69 purchase with a 20 and was told that the manager had taken all the change they couldn't give her change for the 20 (it was right at closing time) My niece told them that she had the change or could pay on her card and the cashier Noah was told to refund her money and re ring the skirt When he did the refund he handed her $10.69 instead of the 20 she had given him. We tried to explain to him that he owed her $20 not $10.69. Noah continued to get frustrated while another employee managed to get him some change but he argued with us that he didn't owe anything back. We explained that he did owe her $9.31. Noah "I'm so fucking tired of impatient people" and angrily handed my Neice her change as we all stood there stunned. My Neice told him he was being ridiculous to which he said call corporates and I said we will Noah to which he said I don't give a shit. Meanwhile it's 7:55pm and we realize we've been locked in the store that closes at 8!!!! NOT the experience we were looking forward too Noah clearly needs some training and would perhaps be better in a position where he does not have to interact with customers

That was not a problem so I told them I had smaller change to pay with or I could pay with my card. Noah seemed very frustrated with the situation to start with. The lady who was helping told him to just do a refund because she asked if I could pay with a card. ( I told her yes) He then proceeded to do the refund and gave me a 10-dollar bill back and some change then to give it back to pay for my skirt. I then told him I paid with a $20 so I would still need my change back. (This was the issue to start with) He started getting more upset and looked at me and said "I'm tired of dealing with all these f***ing impatient people. I was absolutely stunned. Not once was I rude or impatient with him. I looked at him and did not expect my change because I didn't even know how to respond. I was upset so I snatched my change as he kept mumbling about how impatient we were. My mom and Aunt and I also told him how rude and ridiculous he just acted. My aunt then said that we will contact someone for his awful behavior which he replied with "good, I do not give a shit". I am not the one to write about any service good or bad but I felt very disrespected. Maybe if I were being rude or impatient I could see how I could have made him act like this but I did none of the sort. Sorry, Noah but I do not think you belong in customer service, especially with all the hickeys that were on your neck.

Driving by it's hard to miss as the building is painted purple and there are dresses hanging from the gazebo, fluttering in the breeze. Don't miss the racks outside but once you enter the real fun begins. It's like walking into a rainbow as you are surrounded with colorful confections of clothing, leggings in any pattern you can dream of, silver (and more!) jewelry, handcrafted gift items and puzzles galore. The name of the store comes from the fact that they carry items from around the world. I love shopping here because you will find items you won't see anywhere else. I always get compliments when I wear something from this store. My sisters-in-law call it "the leggings store" because they carry so many (supersoft) leggings. Their specialty is tunics and dusters but you'll also find dresses, pants, jackets, and more. The sales team is a great resource to help you find just what you're looking for. Prices are mostly on the higher end but, in my opinion, reasonable for a curated collection of unusual items.

Apparently there is some back way of getting there, but I just drove to the nearby park (quite pleasant) and walked over, and found them still open. The building looks like a factory from the outside, but has a well-manicured storefront that offers their soda selection plus some other specialties like candy. There is soap with their soda flavors; not sure I'm sold on that. I was pleased that they had several cardboard carriers and you could build your own 4-, 6-, or 12-pack of sodas. I tried one of their flavors at an Asheville restaurant, which is only half an hour a way (this area feels farther out than that). Apparently flavors rotate. I'm not judging every flavor they have, but from what I experienced this was a quality place if you want the occasional sugary indulgence. It seemed they were talking with local fruit suppliers in the factory section while I was there, which speaks to the sort of fresh and local taste you can expect.

Flavors like blackberry serrano anf strawberry rhubarb make this place stand out as a place I want to make sure I visit. Often when I'm in WNC, I want beer to go with my meals but today I knew I was taking it easy on the alcohol consumption and WSJ was just the perfect replacement to go with my BBQ brisket I was about to take down. My interactions with the staff were great. They told me about the current flavors and what was coming up next and it was a pretty fast in and out visit today because I was ready to get these cold sodas back to my rental house to have with my lunch. Here are a few things I wish were different. Of course I wish the price was a little lower but this is what you get when you are using all of this fruit and being so particular about your product. It isn't overpriced. I have been drinking these sodas for about 4 years now and I haven't really seen any new flavors in that time. Maybe because I'm in Waynesville around the same time each year I'm getting the same flavors? Also, I wish it was a little easier to find, like maybe in the local Ingles store? Other than those few things, I love it! I'm glad to have gotten a six pack today and I look forward to having more! My favorite flavor is strawberry rhubarb!
