Was excited to see a Big Lots still open but that quickly turned when we checked out. My Neice paid…read morefor a $10.69 purchase with a 20 and was told that the manager had taken all the change they couldn't give her change for the 20 (it was right at closing time) My niece told them that she had the change or could pay on her card and the cashier Noah was told to refund her money and re ring the skirt When he did the refund he handed her $10.69 instead of the 20 she had given him. We tried to explain to him that he owed her $20 not $10.69. Noah continued to get frustrated while another employee managed to get him some change but he argued with us that he didn't owe anything back. We explained that he did owe her $9.31. Noah "I'm so fucking tired of impatient people" and angrily handed my Neice her change as we all stood there stunned. My Neice told him he was being ridiculous to which he said call corporates and I said we will Noah to which he said I don't give a shit. Meanwhile it's 7:55pm and we realize we've been locked in the store that closes at 8!!!! NOT the experience we were looking forward too Noah clearly needs some training and would perhaps be better in a position where he does not have to interact with customers

I came to Big Lots with my family today and bought a skirt that was around $10. I gave Noah the…read morecashier a $20 bill and was told they had no $1's or 5's to provide me with my change. That was not a problem so I told them I had smaller change to pay with or I could pay with my card. Noah seemed very frustrated with the situation to start with. The lady who was helping told him to just do a refund because she asked if I could pay with a card. ( I told her yes) He then proceeded to do the refund and gave me a 10-dollar bill back and some change then to give it back to pay for my skirt. I then told him I paid with a $20 so I would still need my change back. (This was the issue to start with) He started getting more upset and looked at me and said "I'm tired of dealing with all these f***ing impatient people. I was absolutely stunned. Not once was I rude or impatient with him. I looked at him and did not expect my change because I didn't even know how to respond. I was upset so I snatched my change as he kept mumbling about how impatient we were. My mom and Aunt and I also told him how rude and ridiculous he just acted. My aunt then said that we will contact someone for his awful behavior which he replied with "good, I do not give a shit". I am not the one to write about any service good or bad but I felt very disrespected. Maybe if I were being rude or impatient I could see how I could have made him act like this but I did none of the sort. Sorry, Noah but I do not think you belong in customer service, especially with all the hickeys that were on your neck.

Rude staff, they have too many rules for the trash they sale. Now they have up their prices to $8…read moreon Saturdays. They have young inmature people working here. Supposedly kids 16 and under can't touch anything. They have a security guards harassing people while they are shopping to enforce their rules that they come up with. I don't recommend this place to people with kids or anyone who just wants to have a pleasant shopping experience.

Bintime is literally an adult treasure hunt ! But you have to get your mind right before entering…read morebecause this place is an experience and strategy can be important. There are rows and rows of long bins and you literally have to dig for the deals. First first timers it can be overwhelming so here's what to know : - once you enter grab a blue bag and start shopping ! - most purses aren't allowed . If it's clear or tiny they may let you bring it in but otherwise leave it in the car. -you can't open boxes at the bins . There may be boxes that you can't tell what is inside - if you want to have it opened you have to take it to the box counter and an employee will open it . Afterwards they will seal it back and give it to you to purchase or place behind the counter if you don't want it . -the Amazon app can be helpful ! If you have the Amazon app on your phone you can sometimes scan the barcodes on the boxes and bagged items to view the official Amazon listing . You can then see clearly what the item is , the price it retails for on Amazon and read reviews. This doesn't always work though because the bintime employees place new upc stickers over the original ones which aren't recognized by Amazon . - disposable gloves are great to wear here. You will be digging through things and touching lots of stuff so I always like to wear disposable gloves I can toss once I leave . -Saturday is the most expensive and busiest day ($5) because the most coveted items are dropped on this day . -right now 50 cent day is Wednesday. It's worth going to . I snagged a bunch of Aveda and Redken hair products as well as high end face products for 50 cents . It can often be just as busy as Saturday. - if you arrive before they open there will be a line . - if you are buying food make sure to check the expiration as they don't . -there's another section of the store called the "deal den" with a different selection of what they consider "premium items" priced higher than the bins. This kinda place is a once or twice a year visit for me . Other people seem to go every weekend and they seem more critical . But for me and my minimal visits , it's a fun time ! It can be chaotic and somewhat mentally exhausting but the adrenaline rush is real when you find a deal ! Have fun !
