I found my dress at URB bridal and the shopping was great but the alterations were atrocious…read more During alterations, I worked with multiple different people who obviously don't communicate well, because they had terrible carryover and very little progress between visits. Nearly all the work was pushed to the final fitting -- which was almost 7 HOURS. I didn't get to take my dress home until 6 weeks before my wedding, even though I'd purchased it in May 2024 for an October 2025 wedding. The quality of the work was equally disappointing: uneven seams, horrendous sleeves that looked nothing like the original design we had agreed on, an unhemmed layer of my dress that was completely missed until my guest caught it (they literally took scissors to the bottom of my dress and called it a hem), and a hidden corset sewn in a way that left bulky, visible seams. When I brought this to their attention, they blamed it all on me and said it was because my "continued weight loss" that made alterations difficult, or that I kept changing my mind about how I wanted the sleeves to be. But my weight did not fluctuate throughout the alterations experience at all (I kept track and was careful of this). And I changed my mind about 2 things very early - a regular corset back to a hidden corset (shortly after purchase) and the material of the sleeves (during the second appointment before anything had been done or made). Otherwise I didn't even ask for any other special customizations - I just needed the dress to fit me. It was clear they are just inexperienced and/or not skilled seamstresses. The environment itself also felt unprofessional: no 360° mirrors to see the back of the dress, dirty floors that left debris stuck in my gown (they blamed this on the type of fabric of my dress saying it "picks up everything" instead of simply keeping the floor clean), and loud noise from children in the next room throughout my fittings. When I raised these concerns and asked for a partial refund, their reply was dismissive and unprofessional, shifting blame onto me instead of taking accountability. In their reply they said that I "nitpicked every last detail" when I pointed out something out that was poorly done - but this is also my WEDDING DRESS. Alterations were overpriced, inconsistent, and poorly executed. In the end, I had to take my gown to another seamstress just weeks before my wedding to fix their mistakes. I didn't get my gown back until 1 week before my wedding. It was a nightmare. These women are initially nice during your shopping experience, but don't be fooled. They are rude, unprofessional amateurs. Please take your dress elsewhere for alterations. See photos for their poor work.

What I really liked that you could look at the dresses yourself and pick out what you wanted to try on. A lot of salons don't let you do this. You tell them what you're looking for and they pick out the dresses. I'm sure this requires more work on the businesses end, but I do appreciate it. The dresses are gorgeous and there's a nice variety. I saw all the styles you'd expect to find including mermaid, silhouette, a-line, fit and flair, ball gown and some trendier choices like non-white dresses. THEN the real show stopper - a traditional cut strapless fit and flare dress covered in a sequin underlay so it sparkles like the sun. It was truly breathtaking. That's the special one my friend went home with. There's a room you can go into to get dressed, and the attendees will help you. They also provide strapless bras if you didn't bring your own, nice touch! Again, the people working couldn't have been nicer and were so patient and answered all our questions. It was a truly pleasant experience. Prices seem to be very much on par with most boutiques, I think you just have to come with a budget in mind. I will highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great experience.

My daughter chose her dress in February of 2023 and it was paid for. Her wedding date is May 25th…read moreof this year. We were able to pick the dress up yesterday!!! My daughter called over 2 months ago and was told "waiting to be shipped". I called a month later and was told the same thing and that there was an issue with another bride's dress whose wedding was before my daughter's . That is not my concern or should matter. I was also told by the owner MaryBeth that "we are cutting it close" and she would see what was going on. I made sure she knew that I would take further action if needed. The tracking number for the dress was provided within 2 days and was not even shipped priority but took a week to get there. My daughter had to call them to set up a fitting. I truly believe if she did not call, they would not have contacted her until after April 1st ( the shop is closed 3/22 until 4/1). When questioning the time frame for fitting and alterations the second time, MaryBeth stated " there is plenty of time for that" ,contradicting herself. We picked up the dress and chose to not have the seamstress, (who was a lovely lady and helpful, more than the owner), do the alterations. Marybeth was there and did not offer a single apology and did not speak more than a few words. The service received here was the worst experience I could imagine any bride going through. My daughter did her research prior and the reviews were good. Ladies do not choose this retailer unless you plan on staying On top of them each step of the way and want to listen to BS . Did I mention that I myself was able to contact the company that the dress was ordered from once the tracking was provided and was told by a great representative there that the dress was only recently ordered and paid for!? Whether you choose to pay $500 or close to $3k like we did, keep your eyes on the prize with this company ! Don't let them add extra stress to one of the most important days of your life. Shame on you Koda Bridal and MaryBeth. How in the hell have you not gone out of business yet? SMDH that day does not seem far off for you.

They knew exactly what I wanted and had dresses pulled before I arrived. Sara was the stylist I was paired with, and she was fantastic! As I tried on more dresses, she continued to pull different styles that matched exactly what I was liking. She helped me stick on budget and make me feel like a bride. Looking back, I definitely should have came here first, but I am so glad I finally said "yes to the dress!"

From the outside the place looks like a bomb shelter with dresses in the window. The show room is upstairs, but you would never know it from the drab, basement-like entrance. As I walked up the stairs I notices ZERO customers in the store, however; two employees were working on the sales floor. I stood there like a jerk for a bit while both employees (one was the owner) kept to themselves. The owner did not respond to me for, at least, 10 minutes even though the store was empty and another employee was just walking around "dusting" (the store smalls like the inside of a mascot costume). When the owner, finally, saw me she made a little annoying noise like "What the hell are YOU doing here!!". She walked over slowly, like a zombie looking for fresh brains and giving a crap why I was there. She asked me to follow her as she took me downstairs to an absolutely empty storeroom (by that I mean: what was she doing that was was so important that she couldn't wait on a customer) and took her sweet-ass time to get the dress which, by the way, was a second alteration. You see, they screwed up the first time they altered the dress (even after my wife tried it on there and markings or whatever were made!). So everyone is entitled to a mistake even a business that claims perfection; it's important to give them a chance to redeem themselves. But, to my surprise, she handed me a bill for the second alteration!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!!! I argued a bit, but then gave in; what was I supposed to do? We were leaving to go 200 miles away the next day for the wedding. So I paid. Do not go here ladies! Oh, if you think I'm exaggerating, feel free to Google this company and read the many reviews that make mine look like a compliment. If you have ever needed a dress for a wedding or YOUR wedding, these reviews will scare you!

The pros: the dresses are beautiful and the prices are good! Overall, I loved my bridesmaid dresses. But getting to that point was one disaster after another. I had my bridesmaids pick from two different styles of dresses. Two bridesmaids and my maid of honor lived out of town and we were told they could order over the phone. So after that was all taken care of... We waited and waited and waited. We ordered on February 1st. I was told that because of Chinese New Year (the dresses come from china) it would take about 10-12 weeks for them to come in. At the end of May, I called just to check in about my order. The girl who answered sounded confused and told me she'd have someone call me back. No one ever called. So I called again after a week and was told there was no way to track my order and that I'd have to continue waiting. Then, in June, my maid of honor calls me. She got a bridesmaid dress in the mail! Yay! But it was not the dress she ordered. Not even close. In fact, it had some other girl's name on it and a different wedding date. It was a dress from someone else's wedding. I had to travel back to the store to return that particular dress. Fast forward to July (5 weeks before the wedding). The dresses finally arrive! They are the right sizes! The colors are pretty! I am relieved.... Until my one bridesmaid from out of town calls me to tell me they ordered her the wrong style dress. She's an easy-going gal and normally this wouldn't be a concern, but she had just given birth and was nursing and the dress they sent her was strapless and a little skimpy. I called to see how Candalina could possibly amend this and was told (by the owner's wife) that she shouldn't have ordered over the phone and that it must have been her fault for ordering the wrong dress! I asked to talk to the owner, but was told he was out of town. So now I'm pretty livid. I travel there AGAIN to see if I could talk to someone in person. The woman who was there was very understanding, but couldn't really help me. She said there was no time to order another dress. No time to get additional fabric. She suggested buying a shrug in a "close color" In the end, that bridesmaid got a partial refund for the dress. But that was after MUCH time and effort and after many conversations. This experience was not worth the beautiful dresses. Save yourself the headache and stay away from this establishment. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, you don't need to deal with this mess of a business on top of it.

Months ago I purchased my wedding dress from this location and then on a follow up visit scheduled my first alteration appointment. In mid-September, I drove by the location which had a new sign about how they were closing. The location had my dress, was closing the next month, and I hadn't received any notification from them. I asked them why I hadn't heard from them and they didn't get me a straight answer. Anyway, I contacted them about completing my dress before they closed, which was my biggest mistake. I should have picked up the dress and run! They cancelled on me 3 times, forcing me to reschedule at the last minute. When I picked up my dress the bustle wasn't completed as we discussed, as if she was either rushing or decided to go rogue. I examined the dress more with my mother and realized that the bustle was done SO poorly and the material was tugged and pulled in such terrible ways that I am now forced to try to get the material fixed elsewhere or (god forbid) get myself a new dress if it is unfixable. Upon reaching out, we were told we were liars, were laughed at, and hung up on. This store is supposedly closing (today I think!) and it may not make a difference for anyone else but if I can spare someone else the stress of dealing with these people I will!

The only thing being altered was the sleeves even though I inquired about it being taken in and hemmed. She pushed that I didn't need that. She told me to check on her in mid August, and that she should have it done by late August. I messaged early September, she hadn't worked on it at all. Told me it would be done the next week. I messaged her two weeks later again inquiring where my dress was and why we weren't doing multiple fittings. She couldn't get me in until October 5th. I found my dress had been butchered. One sleeve more than an inch shorter. She sent me home like that. They did not fit at all, and when I took it to another seamstress, the second seamstress found that Therese took many shortcuts, and did not alter the dress correctly. She basically just cut the sleeves off at the 3/4 seam, and sewed the rest of the fabric to it. Rather than making new sleeves that fit my arm. The appliqués were not removed at all, she just sewed right over them. She did quick dirty work. When I reached out to have it fixed I found that she did not accommodate my schedule to fix HER botched work. After the way she talked to me via text, I was not comfortable going to her again. She tried manipulating me into believing the dress was fine, even with pictures sent to her. She refused a refund, but allowed us to pick up scrap fabric from her PORCH. because she couldn't handle her issues face to face. I ended up having to get them completely redone with only a day to spare before the wedding. It caused severe emotional distress and took precious time away from my family due to needing my dress redone. Therese is not a seamstress, she does not know what she is doing. When my husband tried to correct the issue, she outright lied to him about dates and communications, to which I have picture evidence from texts.

My wedding was 9/23/23. I dropped off my gown on 7/1. Because the dress needed a lot done, she told me to contact her in a month to check up on the progress. I reached out on 7/29 and she claimed she was behind schedule because of David's Bridal closing and she had not started my dress yet. I had to reach out to her two more times until I was able to come in for a fitting on 8/24. This is where it starts to get bad. When I came to her shop, it was obvious she was overwhelmed with work, there were dresses strung all over the place. While happy with the newly built top, I could not walk in the dress. The underlayers had not been touched. The outer bottom layers were very jagged and the top felt like it was still big. I brought up these concerns, she claimed that the top would need to be loose to sit in. I felt like that wasn't right because the top didn't reach my hips, but I didn't press it. On 9/4, I had my last dress fitting. The bottom outer layers looked cleaner after bringing it up. I was able to walk in the dress, but it had not been fluffed and Therese did not go over each layer with me to show that they had been done like she promised she would do. I didn't know any better to look at each layer and fluff them out before I left. On 9/21, I took my dress to the venue and my coordinator helped me to fluff my dress. WE FOUND PINS STILL HOLDING THE BOTTOM LAYERS UP. The areas that were done were cut so jaggedly, that there were gouges taken out. It looked so sloppy. I was so distraught that my coordinator called Therese. Therese claimed she showed me each layer before I left. We pointed out to her that if she did, she would've seen her pins in the dress still. She pretty much told me I was SOL and to cut the other layers myself. I frantically called another seamstress close to my venue and she had me rush the dress over. On 9/22, I tried the dress on again after my new seamstress cleaned up the layers to find that after the dress relaxed outside of the bag, it was still 2.5 inches too long on me. I wasn't going to be able to walk down the aisle in it. So, close to $350 later, my dress was wearable, though the new seamstress said my top WAS a size too big. After confronting Therese about these issues, she accused me of losing weight in between the fittings. I hadn't. She refused any refund. While Therese didn't charge me to cut the underlayers, it was something she had promised and included in the receipt of services that were done. I cannot recommend her for your big day. Since David's Bridal closed, she took on more work than she could handle and my dress suffered for it. I can wholeheartedly recommend Alterations by the Clothing Surgeon in Lisbon, Ohio who finished my dress for me. This horrible situation left a very dark cloud on my wedding day that I have considered legal action, but I find that she isn't worth the effort and can only hope that the karma she gave me comes back to her. BRIDES PLEASE CHECK EVERY SINGLE LAYER OF YOUR DRESS, FLUFF IT OUT COMPLETELY BEFORE LEAVING THE APPOINTMENT, AND PRESS ANY ISSUE THAT YOU HAVE. YOU ARE PAYING THESE PEOPLE AND YOU DESERVE TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT.
