I drive 30-40 minutes to support this store and was even planning to purchase a new X-Maxx, but after this experience, I've decided not to move forward with that purchase. For comparison, I've had consistently positive experiences at HobbyTown, where the staff is helpful, respectful, and willing to assist customers -- especially those who are newer to the hobby. That level of professionalism makes a big difference and is the reason I'm more inclined to continue spending my money there. Customer service matters. Hobby Works has staff walking the floor to help you. And they really help. And they know their stuff. And when you're there, it's got that friendly clubhouse atmosphere like you stopped off here while walking home from school in the 6th grade. Sometimes it feels like with online shopping, kids won't ever experience the friendly local stores like we did.
