Great coffe and friendly staff. I drink black espresso and the owner was totally in tune with Italian coffee culture. Ottimo!

It's worth a trip. Coffee is great; pastries are fabulous; and people are truly kind!

In all fairness, when I finally walked in the door, this was only a GrinGo app taco pop-up, but the…read morewhole fiasco is way too rich to not put it on our favorite food app. Hoping other Yelpers will share their experiences and reviews as well!! My whole experience started on Saturday when my son gamely waited two hours in line with me (bonus rain soak included.) They opened extremely late, line didn't move, we left with no tacos. Rumors before we went were that people were ordering 40 and 50 tacos when they first opened, put a pin in that for later. Today I arrived at 11:30 to a short line and thought it would be worth it if they actually opened at noon. At 12:05 as I was walking in the door, I saw Brian Reinhart's article in D Mag (Mr. Reinhart, could you not have posted when you visited at 11!?) https://www.dmagazine.com/food-drink/2025/10/dallas-michelin-taco-pop-up-califa-de-leon-failu/. Word spread like wildfire, some people left and many of us decided we may as well have a taco anyway. And some gossip to tie into my earlier visit, while waiting inside, a tall gentleman who clearly acted as if he was somehow part of leadership was sharing with a couple about how frustrated they were over the weekend because they had instances of people ordering bunches of tacos. Seriously? I could've slapped him - as a leader and organizer of quite a few events over the years, I would've stopped that before it started. Come on, you didn't expect some Park Cities house manager to be sent to get Michelin star tacos for the weekend's football parties? Give me a break. Back to today. I placed my order with a lovely lady at the counter who must have been from the Mexico contingent, she spoke zero English and my Spanish is poqiuto, but I managed to get two of each kind of tacos offered, 4 total. Had to dig a Topo Chico out of the box in the cooler as well. Both stars today are for the staff that was cooking and serving. They were friendly, and invested - running napkins out (finally) and asking how the tacos were. Prepping and cooking like crazy behind the glass. My paper-plated tacos were hot and fresh, Gaonera was overcooked, Costilla wasn't trimmed well, so had to be pulled apart by hand. A decent bite for a quick lunch, again, cooked by someone who was trying hard. As Mr. Reinhart said, a complete joke if you're using "Michelin" in the same sentence. And I also agree that we've got MUCH better tacos and TexMex and food in DFW, and I've enjoyed many a Michelin meal around the world, but they have to hire some Texas locals and get a clue on really great local food. Thoughts!?
