Sadly I was not impressed. Upon entering the restaurant, there was an off-fishy odor. The woman that greeted me when I walked in was brash and harsh to the staff and me. Though the buffet had multiple options of fresh fruit, desserts, and Americanized Chinese along with the hibachi grill, the hot food was cold. When I entered, there was one other table, and by the time I left, there were multiple tables, and staff could be seen bringing out fresh dishes. I tried some of the new dishes being placed on the steam tables, and these were not hot either. Though I must admit that the food was cold, there was a lot of flavor in the dishes. read more

Good selection, poor quality. I'll preface this by saying this is one of my grandparents' favorite spots, which is why I visited, and also why I couldn't include more photos. Walking in, the first impression is that this is the all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet of my youth -- dimly lit, slide-in booths, 80s/90s decor and fixtures, stacks of plates, heat lamps glowing under sneeze guards, everything is fried, Chinese-American with a heavy emphasis on American, cubes of melon and strawberry slices with brown edges, cubes of green jello, the old stainless steel soft-serve machine. There are several hot display cases, maybe 6, full of seafood, vegetables, chicken, wontons, potstickers, fruit, and desserts. There was also a Mongolian grill that I didn't try, but I wish I had. I was really pleasantly surprised at the huge selection of seafood here - crab legs, whole baby octopus, Cajun crawfish and shrimp, fried shrimp, fried octopus legs, mussels, etc. Maybe life experience has taught most people NEVER to eat the seafood under the lamps at a buffet, but I'm a brave and curious diner, I like to try everything. So I heaped on the seafood and... boy was I disappointed. Everything was far past the point of overcooked, very tough, not even rubbery anymore, it almost had a dry chicken texture. I tried a fried octopus leg and in addition to being tough, it had an awful taste, I couldn't even finish it. Everything was like this, crab legs, shrimp, the crawfish were dark grey inside (so I didn't try them at all). The mussels were over cooked but at least edible. Once I opened up most of the shellfish and saw the quality of the meat wasn't good, I didn't try to eat much more and I went back for something a little more, eh, trustworthy. I had some fried chicken with that thick gelatinous sweet-and-sour sauce, some wontons, spring rolls, some barbecued chicken on a stick- it was ok. Anything that needs to stay hot and crispy generally keeps pretty well under the lamps, the quality of the fried stuff was about standard for buffet fare. The service was kind, and the price was fair but should have been much lower given the quality. I started this review with 2 stars, maybe for nostalgia's sake, and maybe with my sweet grandparents' preferences in mind. But as I write about my experience, the food was pretty bad and I don't think I'd ever try to eat here again. Proceed with caution! read more

I have always liked coming here. There is a decent variety of food and what they have is really good!

First off...the staff was so welcoming and warm. We were quickly greeted, very enthusiastically I might add, seated and drinks brought promptly. The servers were very quick to remove used dishes and refill drinks. I feel like the selection was very good...a lot to choose from. However, the quality is very mediocre, but right on par with what I was expecting from a Chinese buffet. A few choices were very good to me. The string beans were crunchy and seasonsed so well...my fav. I enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp a lot as well as the beef and broccoli that came fresh out of the kitchen. The fried shrimp were also quite good as well as the cream cheess wontons. If you get the french fries straight out of the fryer those were good too. The rest was kind of blah. I did not care for any of their chicken dishes which was disappointing. The sushi choice was abysmal and they never brought out fresh rolls. I did not have any dessert so I cannot comment on that. Overall, we left very full. We were happy with the service. For 2 adults and 5 year old our bill was a little over $30.00 and that includes your beverage. Give it a try but go in with low expectations...haha. read more

Anyone who's read any of my reviews know damned well that I'm a sucker for questionable Chinese food. Which is exactly what this place is. Questionable. At best. Went there tonight to pick up a quick to-go box cause I didn't feel like cooking. All the usual shit is there in the pans. It's a Chinese buffet for hells sakes. But then I went to pay. $18.50 for a small to-go container of what amounts to probably $2.35 worth of food. Dafuq. Used to like this place a lot more. But never again at that price. Completely floored. I should've gotten three containers for that amount of money. Go to the Hunan Village right down the road. Probably more food than you can fit into a takeout box for less money. My parents recently moved here and they love this place. We stopped in on an early Saturday lunch and the place was pretty busy, I thought that was a good thing. They sat us down, asked for our drink order and we were off to the buffet. There are 4 or 5 different buffet lines with about 12 or so dishes in each line. So they had a really good variety of options. Rice, fried shrimp, octopus, and lots of chicken dishes. I also tried their sushi which sits on the perimeter of the restaurant. They had 6 or so varietys and each one I tried was good but not near as good as places that focus on sushi. I indeed the fries shrimp, fried rice, coconut shrimp, chicken with beans, and the green beans. Chinese buffets can be hit or miss and this one is better than most so I'm giving it 4 stars. If I'm in the area again I'll probably stop in if we are feeling like Chinese. read more

I found a piece of metal scrubber in a bite of my fish. I told the waiter and he got the manager. The manager said that "it's ok" and walked off with the plate of food. I approached her again after she walked off and didn't come back and asked if she was going to take responsibility for it. She responded that she couldn't do anything about it because the manager wasn't there that day, even through the waiter told me she was the manager. She tried to tell me it was a fish bone but it clearly wasn't. She told me she could take $3 off my bill and that's all that she could do. Bad customer service and food quality. I have eaten here twice, and heartily enjoyed it both times. While that doesn't seem like such a big deal you have to understand that it's a little over 100 miles from where I live. They have a great buffet with authentic (not too americanized) flavors, and as noted by Jeffery, they have sushi. I, my folks, and some friends have all eaten here and agree that we haven't seen another buffet that has the selection that Beijing does - and the price isn't bad - I believe that it was under $10 per person. This place is HORRIBLE! Rude and not kid friendly. This happened a while ago but I feel I need to let people know about my experience. I went to this buffet with my friends and their 1 year old child. We picked it because we thought it was kid friendly. While we were there the baby cried a little bit. After the baby had been crying for a few minutes the owner walked over and told us to pay and leave. Other then the small amount of crying we weren't being loud or disrespectful in any way. My husband and I use to love this place a couple years ago. The atmosphere was nice, the food was tasty and discernibly Chinese, the restaurant was clean and tasteful. A must on our very seldom granted date nights in a small town and on a budget. The keyword in all that? WAS. The last 3 times we have gone there (twice in 2014 and then again today) it has been a pitiful downward decline into shameful. Once the floor under our table was covered in an oily residue! Today, our experience was so appalling that we decided we'll do fast food (like BK, McD's, or Wendy's) before we go back there! Our drinks were never refilled, you'd think maybe because the hostess/waitress person was busy. Nope. She disappeared and was only seen when another customer came in (she got their drinks and quickly disappeared again). Not very often considering there was maybe 15 people in there! The food was...microwaved, I'm sure. Dried out, tasteless, hard and rather nauseating. My husband had a spring roll and, I swear to the Almighty, it looked like a brown paste on the inside! Oh, if you get bored waiting for your check and fortune cookies to come, you can always entertain yourself by counting the spiders and flies in the light ceiling fixture. Just be quick! They move fast...the bugs, not the staff. Finally, we gave up waiting on our check and walked up to the counter to pay a leave. That lady had to hunt down our check! I didn't realize 4 groups of customers was enough to lose that kind of stuff! The staff weren't even "polite"...more like bored and stand-off-ish! Overall, I could deal with the loud, modern hits music...if it weren't for everything else! If you want decent Chinese cuisine go to Walmart and buy the frozen version. This was a very bad experience!! The food was very old and there was little to choose from because I guess they don't make fresh food an hour before they close. The workers were very hard to understand and couldn't speak English. We ate very little because it was so bad and tried to talk to them but ended up paying full price because they didn't know what we were saying. We will never return!!! read more

I was a little nervous about this place, I mean it's a very small town with a massive chinese buffet... ya can you say not fresh and cold haha. BUT I was surprised the atmosphere was nice, the people were very attentive. And I even saw people rotating out the old stuff, and things that didn't sell as much they would only bring out small amounts. So you could tell they cared about keeping things fresh. There is a very wide selection of food to choose from. Things like general tso chicken to octopus to sushi. My wife and I tried almost everything there and didn't really find anything that wasn't good. Even the ice creme was great. Prices are the best part 10 dollars and all you can eat, that's a win win. We love Beijing Buffet and visit it often on our way to The Crystal Hot Springs. The food is always fresh. The price is very fair and they have always been very kind.
