We originally planned to get 2 donuts, then we walked in and saw the selection - and decided to get 6 donuts (why? We did not need 6 donuts - especially ones this large. But yet....). Then the super nice guy working the register gave us 2 for free because it was our first time!!! There goes my waistline because these are donuts I DO like. Some are way too sweet for me, and we unfortunately got 2 glazed instead of 1 glazed and 1 original, but even I couldn't stop taking bites. If you like donuts, it's absolutely worth the trek to get them. They're closed Mondays & Tuesdays, so plan ahead.

A true gem in Montreal. Our guide brought us by this place on a bike tour of the city and what a treat! If you have the time, it's definitely worth a stop, if for nothing else to see the dripping glaze on the donuts. FOOD: Great selection of donuts - primarily yeast. Glazed donuts with great toppings or even plain. We tried the Brownie donut, the Lemon donut, and the Maple Bacon donut. All were good. Really good. SERVICE: People here were so nice and the portions are HUGE. Easy to get to go or eat right there outside the shop. Not any place to really sit, but you don't want it dripping on you anyway. COST: Very reasonable for what you get. Truly worth it.

Located on the Saint-Anne strip, this place is absolutely adorable! It's a small shop with bubble teas, and the freshest donuts. The owner is very sweet and gives great service. I thought it was really cool that she bakes the donuts and fills them to order if you choose a filled donut, she had custard, blueberry, lemon, raspberry and strawberry as an option. I tried the raspberry and blueberry filled donuts and both were really tasty. Besides the glazed donuts, I also tried the apple fritter and cinnamon twirl and everything was delicious. Given the current situation, there is a limit to how many people can enter at a time and the cash is set up with a plexiglass barrier.

I've visited a few times, and the service is always friendly, and it is never very busy. They have a good selection of donuts and if you buy 6 or more it is tax free, which is nice. The cool thing is that they fill the donuts fresh, so you can choose what filling you want, and they have quite a variety...my friend once had an odd combination of a chocolate covered donut filled with lemon curd. Weird, but at least you have the freedom to be creative. The donuts are good but not mindblowing. What I usually go for is when I have a bubbletea craving...it's nice to have a bubbletea place right here in ste anne (especially since boaboa cafe has left). They have several flavours and you can choose tapioca, popping boba, or coconut jelly. I had honeydew with coconut jelly this time. They don't use fresh milk, it's definitely creamer (which I'm not a huge fan of, but I'm also lactose intolerant haha). Also, there's quite a bit of ice (i forgot to ask them to reduce the ice) and it is pretty sweet (you can't adjust the sweetness, as far as I know). But overall it was tasty! And bonus, they use biodegradable cups!

This was my first experience with the seasonal harvest menu at Cabane à Sucre Au Pied de Cochon,…read moreand it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and felt true to the season. We started with the artichoke salad with coppa and stracciatella fresh, creamy, and well balanced. The mi-cooked trout with beurre blanc and chanterelles was rich yet delicate, while the ratatouille tart added a rustic, comforting touch. The gnocchi with foie gras was indulgent in the best way, and the turkey and sausage dish was hearty and satisfying. Dessert was a highlight: the raspberry tart was light, beautifully crafted, and the perfect way to end the meal. The overall experience felt special generous portions, incredible seasonal flavours, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's clear how much thought goes into this menu, and it really shines through in every bite. Highly recommend experiencing this before you die.

One must simply be ready the moment online reservations open in early December. I treated myself and my husband in early April in the thick of maple sugaring season. The drive from Montreal is a good hour, so we opted to stay in Laval. Much better might have been to rent an Airbnb in Mirabel. Next time. Because there simply must be a next time. For one fixed price (about $95 CAN), you are treated to course after course after course of the most delicious food crafted in the Québécois countryside. Everything has maple. Everything is the best thing you've ever tasted. I just wanted to slow down time and make this night last forever. Because it was just two of us, we lucked out and got seats at the bar instead of sharing a big communal table. Our two barkeeps were excellent- so friendly, plus knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish they served us. I had read that seasoned diners know to bring their own plastic containers for leftovers, so I too tucked a few into my bag. Do the same. Especially by the time you reach the flight of desserts at the meals end, one simply cannot consume that much food in one sitting. I will be dreaming of this epic meal for years to come. Or maybe just a year. Living only a three hour drive away, how can I not return next spring? Apparently, the menu changes every year. This place could shutter its doors someday and then it truly will exist only in my dreams. Until then, I simply must return. It exceeded my expectations, and then some. Divine. Rustic. Elevated. Joyful. Boisterous. Refined. Exquisite. Extraordinary.

I…read moredon't usually ever get donuts since they are so high in calories and if I ever do, I just get the cheap and tiny ones at Tim Hortons. But this place really opened my eyes to how delicious donuts from an actual donut shop can be. Granted they were a day old but it was still so soft and fluffy. These donuts were also massive! Anyways, I tried the Kit Kat, Dubai Chocolate, Pistachio Chocolate, Creme Brulée, Apple Fritter, Cookier Monster, Biscoff, and their blueberry cheesecake. My favorite is the Apple fritter, Biscoff and blueberry cheesecake! These three were so delicious and not as sweet as the other ones. The Apple Fritter was possibly one of the best one I ever had. Albeit, some of them were a bit firm on the inside but I suspect it is because they were a day old. Overall, I really like the donuts here and I would definitely go visit whenever I go to Montreal. I had to do 2 hours of cardio the next day but it was worth it.

Surprisingly, the donuts are not oily like small donuts from other stores, and they're not at all heavy! The donuts are huge that you can cut into four pieces and share. You can actually buy different types, cut and share with your party. We tried various types and they're all great! They also serve donuts with fried halal chicken tenders that we tried and it was so good. The coffee tasted great. You might have noticed the waiting line in the photos. This was at night at around 10-11pm on a Saturday night. We're told that this location is busy on most days of the week. On one side of the store are free arcade games for kids and adults to try. This is one of five locations in the Montreal area and it's located on a busy street in Laval (northern Montreal suburbs). It was the first at homers and it was a great experience. I'm sure we'll be back to try other variations of donuts.
